I am staying at a nearby hotel for work for a couple of weeks and I have been to this Panera three days in a row to either work or pick up a food order for the office for lunch. One of the days I worked remotely and had a table for a few hours. I noted how clean and neat the café was and the good condition of the furniture and carpeting. I've seen some really rundown Panera breads. The service was fine and some of the servers were more friendly than others, but I could not possibly complain about anything. The closest thing to a complaint is that I stopped in one evening around 8 PM, an hour before close, and asked for a cup of decaf. They didn't have any, but the server was super pleasant and said she'd be happy to bruise them for me. No problem. Also, something I've never seen after working remotely at many Panera's, someone walked around offering samples that they're baked goods. When I picked up the lunch order from my office today, they included a sample of a baked good in my bag. Really nice touch, no complaints here. I don't really love food at Panera, maybe just the soup. Prices have gone up and that the corporate decision but I think this is one of the nicer cafés that I've been to. read more

Panera bread is always a good idea and I particularly like this specific location in Tinley Park Illinois. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is always clean, and I never have issues with my order. Tonight, I ordered the new baked potato soup and it was very good. I also had the tomato basil BLT, without the b! I just love that tomato basil bread. I ordered the creme brulee latte which I'm hooked on, but I forgot to ask for it with almond milk and once I sat down in my table I realized it. I took it up to the register and told the guy of my mistake offering to pay for a new one. He insisted that was unnecessary and gave me a corrected latte on the house! Made a quick stop for bagels for breakfast. Everything went quickly and the bagels and spread were absolutely delicious. The only quirk is the parking is a little all over as in there are some normal spots as well as some parallel parking spots. Not a big deal, but something to just keep in mind since it isn't that typical in the suburbs. If in the area and wanted something quick for breakfast or lunch would stop by again. read more

Gave her $24 and she asked for the $.35 which I gave her. Asked for my dollar back and she refused. Bottom of the bag with soup and sandwich was all wet. Horrible service , all i hear is the workers talking and the manager was no where to be found. This is honestly the worst experience ive ever had. The mac n cheese felt like it was microwaved and the soup was very watery. The dishes were all stacked up and dirty. There was flys around the dishes and drinking area. I want my money back. Nice young man at the drive-through speaker & window. I asked if I could do 2 sandwiches for the Pick 2 cuz I couldn't decide between the steak & chicken but it wasn't made clear that with the pick 2, the "chef's chicken sandwich" isn't AVAILABLE in half. So I actually got half of the steak and a WHOLE of the chicken, so 1.5 sandwiches. It was $18. The "chef's chicken sandwich" was $12 BY ITSELF. When he told me the total at the window, I was shocked but said "It better be great!" (I didn't want to get him in trouble for not being very clear when I ordered; figured I misunderstood something.) The $12 sandwich wasn't great. In fact, it was not even good. It was a smallish piece of chicken, rather dry, nothing special about it, on a plain regular-sized hamburger-ish bun, with a little tasteless mayo and some bottled buffalo chicken sauce. I'd asked for the pickles on the side (wasn't sure if I'd like them) and a slice of tomato instead; the tomato was barely red and white in the middle, it was so unripe. The pickles (luckily presented on the side as requested in a tiny cup) turned out to be some little deep fried things like canned fried onions. This sandwich wasn't worth $4, let alone $12. Also I thought the default side was chips (not worth much) but nope, they threw in a dry hunk of bread (with 2 SANDWICHES). I noticed on the receipt it said "no beverage" so if a drink was supposed to have been included for the $18, I wasn't asked what I wanted and I didn't know. By the time I figured it out, I was home and I live 15 miles away. And it was late and I was tired; the order took way longer than one would think. The steak sandwich was, on the other hand, fantastic; I should have just gotten that and saved $10. I seriously want my money back. I feel like I've been robbed. Shameful. Guess I should have heeded the warnings about this location but I order lots of catering and this makes me not want to use Panera for that either. What a ripoff. read more

I did an online order and didn't receive the bread bowl I paid for, and instead got a small Mac and cheese despite it being posted on the receipt that I did in fact order and pay for a bread bowl. Worst customer service. We've been here couple of times since location is convenient. Service has always been sub-par but today was honestly the worst experience that we just had to leave. Around 10:15am this morning, we stopped there and the guy at the register was rude and sarcastic when the kids and I asked him about one of the items in the menu. I gave him another chance and went over few things with the kids and when we asked him again, he was snappy, sarcastic and gave us the 'I don't care' attitude. Went here to meet up with others for a bagel at 9:00 am on a Saturday morning and they had maybe 4 bagels left . The cashier said someone came this morning and bought all the bagels ! This review has nothing to do with COVID-19 problems or accommodations. This location is terrible, always has been. The orders are never right and they take FOREVER. Just awful. For a place that your meal is usually around $13.00 per person, it does not reflect the service for the cost. There should be NO drive thru. Last week I spent $35 mins trapped in the drive thru line and today (for breakfast) I spent 15 mins. There is never any compensation or anything. The employees just say they are understaffed and overworked. I will never go here again. I'm done. Never would I have thought that a review of any Panera location was necessary. I'm a rewards member. Panera is my go to, in fast food, with healthy choices. I find them during travels, on the road, when running errands, etc. I expect consistency across the country, because they're everywhere. This location has opened my eyes. Today, I went through the drive-thru. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and pick 2 (summer strawberry poppyseeds salad and chipotle chicken avocado sandwich). Ordering was easy. I provided my number for reward points. The order was confirmed with clarity. When I drove to the window, a payment machine was available outside the window. This simplified the transaction. I was asked if I wanted a receipt, which I bypassed and later regretted. I was told to have a great day. I pulled forward, pass the point of no return (to the window), when I realized I didn't have my smoothie. I parked, walked across the lot and went inside to claim my drink. They offered a free cookie to compensate for the inconvenience. Inside, there were markings for social distancing and seating was limited. The patio was open for eating with tables spaced. Here's where the rubber meets the road. My smoothie was made fresh, but tilted over when served across the counter. It was offered to me, but another employee intercepted, giving me another that was already prepared. I appreciated that. Surfaces are not considered as safe anymore. I drank my smoothie first. It was cold, delicious and well blended. I got to the car and opened My sandwich. Poor thing was scant. I'm accustomed to this sandwich being hearty: nicely sliced avocado, satisfying portion of chicken, bread cut and toasted with care. Oh well! It wasn't. I wasn't going back inside again. I just needed something on my stomach. I saved my salad for later. It's cool that they use romaine lettuce. I just didn't expect my 1/2 salad to be filled with a stalk chunk nor clumps of ribs. I feel like I was given leftovers. This is where I wished that my receipt was available. This location needs to be aware of why they are rated so poorly. Never would have 'thunk' it.
