The food is average but good. The staff is prompt and knowledgeable. My only complaint is the price of some items. The Greek salad and mac n cheese are a pick 2 menu order. Looking at the receipt., the 1/2 salad is $5.59 and the small mac & cheese is $6.59. Add a small drink and it's $3.09 more. $15.27 is competitive but I can't get past the individual price of that small Mac & cheese- 6.59??? Anyway, I still go here once or twice a year but that's about it. It's not that special and I could easily go to Applebee's or Olive Garden for the same price. read more

I usually like Panera a lot, especially the chx wild rice soup and strawberry salad. However it usually doesn't come with a thick piece of plastic that must have come from the corner of an ingredient bag or something. Today with order #178671 I was a third of the way thru the soup when I bit down on a hard object from the soup . It is amazing I didn't choke. I went up to the counter and showed the young guy there the plastic Corner and said they needed to check their rice soup batch because I almost choked on it. He apologized and that was the end of It. I was at Panera store 204770 today and ordered a smoky buffalo chicken melt. I was very disappointed with the sandwich. There was very little chicken and any other ingredients. It was a toasted baguette with a hint of sauce and a couple slices of red onion and maybe three or four little slices of chicken. I have seen commercial on TV and it in no way compares to that. Then to be charged $10.29 for a baguette. read more

Might as well make my 100th review about Panera, since I've been there enough. The pumpkin spice latte is great! I don't know about $4 great, but still great nonetheless. You can't go wrong with their bagels or the delicious cream cheese. The soups are good, especially the cheesy potato and broccoli soup. But the prices are just plain outrageous for the portions and the quality of the food. That is why I only give 2 stars. The girl that took our order had a careless attitude. Typically the cashier asks if you want a baguette, chips, or an apple, and our cashier only asked me if "chips were okay" Our orders came back to us incorrect. I understand that their chicken normally looks pink, but this chicken simply just looked raw. Most of the tables were dirty, and the food wasn't very appetizing. Not to mention there was a group of 4 employees just standing around and chatting in the back, 2 others horse-playing behind the cash registers, and one of them belching extremely loud. If I could rate this place any lower, I certainly would. When I spend over $30 on two 1/2 sandwiches and 2 soups, I expect to be so impressed by the food that I won't be able to stop talking about how good it was. Food and the service is great. I love the fountain drinks, is they taste really fresh. Admittedly though, they are a bit expensive. First off, let me say that I am a frequent Panera visitor in my travels and always find the food and employees superb. However, this particular Panera's was the dirtiest and most unprofessional that I have ever run across. Although it was the middle of the afternoon and well past the busy time, everything was dirty. From the booths and tables to the drink areas and bathroom, everything was in a desperate need of wiping off and cleaning up. I came here to grab a coffee and sit down and get some work done. Two workers were standing there texting while one girl took a whole line of orders. I stood waiting on my latte to be made forever. AFTER THE LINE WAS GONE THE GIRLS STOOD THERE TALKING a good 5-10 minutes not making or doing anything. Wow - This is my first every Yelp review. I've been in this Panera for a couple hours now, and haven't ordered anything. I finally got up to go grab just a small coffee since Ohio is freezing and I moved to California last year because of it - besides the point - I was waiting for all of 3-4 minutes and, who I'm guessing was the manager, called me over and apologized for the wait - I asked for a small coffee and without hesitation he tossed me a cup and said it was on the house for the wait. We had dinner here tonight; my usual Sierra Turkey was short on turkey and the bread just was not up to snuff. Panera is always one of my favorite spots to get some work done. There is always plenty of seating, free wi-fi, and free refills on coffee. This Panera is just like all the rest, in a good way. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The pick 2 sandwich/soup deal is always a good lunch option, or a bagel in the morning is great. Here's the thing about all Panera Bread's in general.....go there if you want to go to the bakery and get really good quality fresh made bread and pastry products....don't go for the food. I love Panera! However this Panera has terrible service. We ordered takeout various time & we have repeatedly gotten the wrong items. After the 3rd time we complained & all they did was give us a 5 dollar gift card which didn't even cover the expense of the food they left out. One time we got home & the chicken in my sandwich was raw (and I was pregnant) so that was even more dangerous. Finally, we gave up. We only get Panera when we r out of town now. read more

Ordered my favorite turkey bacon avocado sandwich. The sandwich they produced did not contain sliced turkey but a ground turkey salad spread, instead. When I asked the manager about the absence of sliced turkey, her reply was, "that's what they sent us." She did not offer any remedy/alternative. just wanted to report that i had a young man in his panera staff uniform follow and harass me in a parking lot. he sped past my car almost hitting me, all i did was give him a shocked look as he passed but clearly that was all it took for him to decide to turn around and follow me, pull up next to me and roll his window down to yell at and bully me over his own mistake. i told my friends about this ridiculous situation and they actually let me know they've had similar experiences with this guy while trying to order in panera! they said he's had a nasty attitude towards them and their friends on multiple occasions and glared at them the whole time they were there. i know i won't be going to this panera again solely because of this employee's disrespectful and entitled attitude. he's clearly hurting internally and thinks it's more than okay to take it out on complete strangers and panera customers. y'all need to do something about this bully before he makes u lose even more customers. read more

Nor does it surprise me for look at the crowd that goes there frequently...kind of yuppie, kind of like ppl studying at a barnes and noble. Worst thing...the massive amount of instances where one student will take over a table for 6 with books and papers just to play on facebook for hours. RIDICULOUS WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! So, me and my grandson went into this Panera Bread and we both ordered one of their flatbreads. He gets the tomato mozzarella and I got the roasted turkey and cranberry. He asks if he can make it into a panini, but the girl behind the counter made some ridiculous excuse by saying "the recipes are already pre made." THE HECK KINDA SAYING IS "it's pre made," it better not be pre made!! In fact, I can prove it to you that it isn't because I saw the guy making the sandwiches after we ordered them! We say whatever and got the flatbreads. They are ready and my grandson can't even take a bite without this pesto going DRIP..DRIP..DRIP.. all over the place and making a mess! He looked into his sandwich and there was literally one small tomato slice, one minuscule piece of mozzarella, a little bit of what looked like tomato vomit, and a heaping pool of pesto all sandwiched in between two slices of soggy flatbread (more like cardboard) from the pesto. My flatbread was one little piece of cold, dry, bland turkey that probably came straight out of the blast fridge, and some overwhelming, weird cranberry sauce stuff, in the same gross cardboard that they call "bread." $23 for that junk? Dirty and poor customer service. They barely try to get their rapid pickup orders correct. Went in to pickup my breakfast rapid order, it was only halfway done, just sitting in its bag on the shelf missing half the order. Someone had checked off that it was all there! Instead of apologizing, trying to fix the rest of my order right away (because, you know, it's supposed to be rapid!) etc, said "ok we'll work on that" and the team proceeded to complete 4 other orders before working on mine. I had to say "how long is this going to take? I am late for work at this point" then they finally started working on mine. Moved at a snail's pace. Person in manager outfit didn't even acknowledge me, seem to care at all, let alone offer to make things better and keep a longtime customer. And the only reason I've been a longtime customer is because it's the only place to order somewhat healthy food in Springfield. They have lost a $24 a day customer. read more
