I joined the Sip Club and receive an email from Panera from time to time reminding me about the embarrassingly large amount of money I've saved by being in the Club, since my modest monthly fee gives me unlimited coffee and soft drinks. I come here a lot. The coffee is not gourmet quality, but it is good. There's a light roast, dark roast, decaf and hazelnut coffee available, along with milks, half and half and almond milk. But, I digress. For breakfast, they have a variety of breakfast sandwiches, egg soufflés, bagels. oatmeal and pastries. My favorite is the Avo Egg White and Cheese sandwich, a relatively low calorie and high protein sandwich that is filling and delicious. For lunch and dinner, there's a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. One option is the "Pick 2," where you can combine two of the following: a cup of soup, half salad or half sandwich. Half of anything gives me pause, but the half salad in particular is a very healthy size. The entrees come with a side of choice: an apple, bag of chips or baguette. The place is comfortable, with pleasant music playing in the background. (People on Spotify have created Panera groupings to mimic the soft rock in the background here.). The Staff is generally friendly and helpful and the restaurant is kept pretty clean. Most people buss their own tables, which is easy to do. Look, it ain't fine dining, but it's really good breakfast and sandwich/salad/sandwich fare. And their breads are good too. read more

Cupi visited Friday to this quaint, lively location in Rockville Town Square! The coffee bar was well described with even a decaffinated coffee choice. The orange frosted scone is a treat today! This Panera location is great! There's no dedicated free parking but there are garages nearby. The interior was clean and well maintained. I placed an order for Rapid Pick-Up, but there was a sign that said to go to the cashier. One of the food prep employees was super friendly and asked me the name for my order and I told him and he handed me my food. I dined in. My Mediterranean veggie sandwich tasted great---fresh, made just as I had requested with the extras included, and simply delightful! The ambiance was also enjoyable. Music playing, ample natural sunlight. Plenty of seating including booths, tables, and armchairs. The men's bathroom was clean, the dining room floors were actively being vacuumed, an employee was proactively collecting finished plates and trash, and all employees seemed to be loving their jobs. I was seriously procrastinating about doing any kind of work today, even though I really needed to catch-up with my current project. I remembered that this restaurant provides a co portable place to work or just chill out. So far after being here for a half hour, I still have only been chilling. Too cold! If you need a place to work, this location has the AC too cold to be comfortable to be in for a long time. I asked the staff to lower the AC and it continued to stay on. This was in November, mind you, when AC is not even necessary. i ended up going to Starbucks across the street, where I was able to work from, at a reasonable temperature. read more

Solid Panera with consistent food, but service can be very slow. This location keeps mobile orders behind the counter which creates a second line for pickup orders when the cashier is already busy, defeating the purpose of ordering ahead to save time. All of the other paneras use the normal pickup system to avoid these waits which could make it easier on the staff. read more

I ordered a catered breakfast for a staff meeting consisting of 68 people. Ally delivered the breakfast. I was impressed that she was punctual as the campus for my employer is big. I liked that they delivered the breakfast in extra large reusable plastic totes. I saved them for future meetings in case there are leftovers I can transport them back to the office. For breakfast I ordered: -several bundles of the pastries and bagels -several fruit bowls -tea -coffee -orange juice -bottled water When Ally put the food out I was informed that they do not provide a tray for the bagels. It came in a paper bag. I was a bit shocked and disappointed that they do not provide the bagels in a more presentable fashion for a catered event. It would be challenging to see the bagels in the bag to make a selection. Additionally, it would also be unsanitary as a person may touch multiple bagels to get the one s/he wants. Fortunately, Ally, came up with a creative solution and suggested I use the lids of the pastry to lay out the bagels. For the fruit bowls, I asked Ally if they provided a serving spoon and she informed me that they ran out. This was disappointing as my colleagues had to use a regular size plastic spoon or fork to get a scoop of fruits which would take a long time. I ordered three bowls which was enough for 30 people and only one bowl got eaten completely. Between using the bagel bag for a catered event and not having enough supplies on hand, it left me with a bad impression. I was also shocked that an individual bottled water cost $1.99 for 16.9 oz. I'm sure that's standard at most establishments, but that's still really pricy. It cost $80 for 40 bottles. Had I not had far to carry the water around on campus, I would have bought it at the grocery store for less than $10. The highlight of the breakfast for me was the service provided by Ally and the quality of the food. I really enjoyed the chocolate croissant and Asiago bagel. They were both very fresh. My colleagues seen to enjoy it and all the pastries were gone and there were only a few bagels left. read more

I am truly surprised at Panera, I used to go regularly for the bagel pack. First the bagels seemed smaller, hole larger and not as high. Then selection went the wayside. Five bagel choices and flat is not choices for a restaurant that is bread based. Who made the choice for no more sesame. I am so happy a Bethesda Bagel opened close by. Perfect day to stop into Panera for some stemming hot soup. I ordered the cheddar broccoli soup for my sister and I which come with a side of bread. My daughter got the macaroni kids meal with a yogurt that she gobbled up with ease. The manager on duty Ezell was so nice and enthusiastic about assisting us with ordering it made the dine in experience all the more comfortable and relaxing. Wonderful Lunch Experience! I visited (12/14/18) wanting a quick lunch; Before attending a nearby appointment. I was apprehensive of wait as I arrived about 12:48pm. Not sure how they stay in busy, I've always thought Panera had tasteless food and they proved me right once again. Ordered a broccoli cheese bread bowl and bacon turkey bravo sandwich and was pretty disappointed. The bread bowl was almost all bread, very little soup. I was actually able to tear the bread bowl in half with my hands and no soup spilled out b/c it almost all absorbed into the bread. I essentailly paid $6 for a big piece of bread with a broccoli cheese dip. The sandwich was pretty dry; luckily I had some soup to dip it in....oh wait no. I think is fair to look around and see all options before you go to eat out, it could be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Well, Panera at Rockville is a good place to stop by they have a pretty good menu. The franchise does a really good job caring their customers I believe every member get a good benefits form signing with them. (I do as a member) But, Panera in Rockville used to be great, more clean and organized, now every table is so sticky, this morning I try to get sitting and three tables in a row have crumbs everywhere. It's not good at all, due that the stablished is pretty and brand new. I think this is only my second time ever visiting any Panera Bread and was looking forward to the day this location was being opened - giving what seems to be more lunch options to choose from. I went with a few friends on the day this location opened and the first thing that caught our attention was how big the place is - very spacious. What you see first to your left is a lot of cookies, muffins, pastries and the likes and above it all are the menus. We visited in the morning and so the breakfast menu was up. I had the Sausage, Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich which is described as Egg, Vermont white cheddar and sausage with salt and pepper on Ciabatta. Yes, it looks like it was put together and heated (see pic), but I enjoyed eating it. My friends each got Soufflés - the Spinach, Mushroom & Sofrito and the Spinach & Artichoke and they both loved theirs saying it was so good and that they are looking forward to going back again. Since there are so many choices to pick from, it is best to get an idea of what you want before going into the store or you can always order online and just pick it up - they have a pick-up area for that (located to the right of the cashiers). They have Breakfast Sandwiches, Bagels, Oatmeal, Yogurt, Fruit, Soufflés, Drinks including Coffee, Tea, Smoothies and other stuff, Soups, Panini, Broth Bowls, Salads, Flatbreads and Pasta. I stumbled across this location while checking out the new additions to Rockville Town Center. My party ordered a chipotle chicken and avocado wrap, (I highly recommend adding the chipotle aioli!), strawberry oatmeal and a maple bacon wrap. I also got the green passion fruit iced tea which is always a favorite of mine. A great thing about panera is that you can customize anything to your liking. They even remind you on their menu. The chipotle chicken wrap was delicious. The aioli added a boost of flavor with just a little bit of heat. This location is conveniently located in Rockville Town Center. The dining room has tons of seating that can accommodate all types of parties. Most of the 2 seater booths had an outlets which is a plus! read more

I was pleasantly surprised. First surprise was that it was in Rockville Town Center. I had no idea of the new location. We've been to the one at Federal Plaza. This was a much nicer (cleaner) and quieter place. The one at Federal Plaza seemed to be crowded all the time and hard to find a table. We got nice friendly service. We weren't planning on but stopped in because I remembered I needed to pick up a Rewards Card. Even though they ran out of cards, they still gave me a free bagel (the promotion for the month of April) when I showed them the email. They also gave my husband a free bagel when he showed his email. They also realized because of his Rewards, it was his birthday so he got to pick out a free muffin too. Wow, three free items in one visit! I ordered a Pick 2 for dinner which included the chicken noodle soup and Asian chicken cashew salad. I thought both were tasty. I had expected whole or half cashews but got tiny bits. I think the salad should have whole cashews. Just my opinion. The only downside is that there is no free parking in Town Center (unless a particular place validates). We had parked in the jury parking lot after hours and walked about a block and a half. As we exited, I noticed a parking garage next to Panera but thought it was only for the hotel. I'm not sure if the garage is public. I would be more likely to return if I knew they validated. My girlfriend and I decided to get breakfast from this Panera location since the shady grove one was closed. It was probably one of the worse mistakes ever. We ordered our usual, we asked the cashier to make sure that the chipotle aioli sauce in both of our breakfast sandwiches.. we are both so disappointed.. on my girlfriends they didn't put any at all, on mine literally one little drop. For that we could have just ordered on the side OR we should have picked a different place to buy breakfast from. Giving it a two star to be nice but it deserves none. read more

Simply for the customer service from the manager Matt today. I downloaded the app specifically to order lunch before we caught a movie at 12:30. Even though I made sure that the address in the app was this one in Rockville Town Center, somewhere during the ordering process it changed the store address. We did not realize this until we arrived to no food. Instead of saying "too bad", which is pretty much what I expect these days, Matt took my phone into the prep area and made my order up for us as I had placed it. This Panera is managed horribly! We were eating with my children and a woman began yelling at my children to shut up and telling us that we were foreigners and needed to go back to Mexico (we aren't even Latino but not the point). I asked for the manager to come and the manger told the person she must leave and then said since we had an issue we had to leave as well. The others customers were there and said it wasn't us being rude. The manger said she understand it wasn't us but with any issue both sides just leave. read more

I've never had an issue with this particular Panera Bread location. Whether I place my order there or place an order for rapid pick up via the Panera Bread app, it is always prepared quickly and on time. My only (minor) complaint is that it seems that the employees are never consistent with giving you the right utensils or even giving you utensils if you are ordering to-go. Make sure to check your bag before you exit the store: sometimes I have had spoons given to me with my soup, but other times they don't put a spoon in my bag or they give me a fork. I'm not sure if they expect people to get their own utensils on the way out (which is fine with me), but I have gotten forks or no utensils with my soups on multiple occasions. read more

I've had such a great experience with this Panera. Their customer service is excellent! I work at an office building near by and we often use them for catering. The order is always ready on time and their website is extremely user friendly. There was an error once (they forgot our scones) and they called me within 10 minutes of me leaving and were very apologetic and asked how they could make it right. Luckily, I work so close I was able to go back and pick up the scones and they threw in a free coffee cake. The workers are always friendly, and the food is delicious. read more
