Been a long time I haven't been here. At least over 3yrs, from what I noticed, nothing has changed. It's still dirty, tables still dirty, the floors still awfully dirty, with crumbs everywhere, the trash still flooding and the dishes still flooding in the tray. The food though still okay, but I feel like they are charging too much for so little. The device was quick and accurate, but I've herd multiple times that the accuracy has been awful and slow at times. The food was tasty, I had Mac n cheese with tomato soup (I mixed them). Update. Can't here a couple times, my order is always missing something. As well; kinda ridiculous that I have to get my bagel on the line where salads and etc is. Why can they donut like before. Which was quicker? Cashier/manager turned around got it slice/toasted and gave it to you right there. And was quick. It's slower agents down at the line. And inconvenient. That the line has to walk down to get the bagel and slice it and etc and walk back and set it. Like A - B -A. Why can't it be before. A-A. Simple read more

I love this Panera. My favorite happy face here I see often is Shea. She is the sweetest! Love her attitude and she is always smiling and happy! I try to order something new I haven't tried before often but my favorite is the smokehouse BBQ chicken so I order that alot. Yummy! read more

I like Panera but this one is lacking. Ordered the pick 2. Had to ask for a pickle..it comes with it. Lettuce was brown and contained pieces of core. Bread piece was miniscule. Bathroom was filthy. read more

Love this place for a healthier quick lunch. Although yesterday I was disappointed with my experience. I was stuck in the drive through line for 20 minutes. You can't get out once you are in. Once at the window to get the smoothie I ordered, the cashier didn't even say hi, let alone "thanks for waiting" or anything of the sort, just spit out a total at me. I think all drive through lines need a quick escape route. And customer service should always be number 1. read more

My coworker and I ate here on 4/20/2016 and we had the best experience! We skipped the line and ordered our food from a kiosk which was fairly simple to use and then our food was made SO QUICKLY and then when my coworkers check wasn't printed via the kiosk the manager quickly swooped in to save the date and looked up our order and reprinted the check for us! Took 55 minutes to get my food... Panera you have lost my business... Blown away that at 3:00pm on a Sunday it takes that long to get my food, the restaurant seemed to be understaffed and there were maybe 8 guests... unimpressive. read more

I had the misfortune of dining at this Panera on a recent Sunday evening. Needing something quick before getting on the interstate, we thought Panera would be a good choice. We were wrong. I don't know what is going on at this location. The dining room was dirty with debris from previous diners, surfaces were sticky, trash was left around the drink and coffee station counters. Had we experienced the condition of the dining room before ordering we would have walked right out. As for the food, it tasted like standard Panera fare, however the Fuji apple salad had wilted and brown greens and for some odd reason it included tortilla strips that belong in one of the southwest salads. My side apple had a sticky brown substance on a couple of spots. If this location strives for mediocrity it will be an improvement. Oh, and the outside of the dishes were grimy. read more

I love Panera but I've had too many issues with this location that it's making me no longer want to eat here. I usually order salads, and of the last 8 or so to-go orders, 3 have come without dressing and 2 have had hairs in them. Unacceptable. read more

The absolute worst Panera! The general manager could care less about anything that is going on in this place. Sandwiches are tiny with barely anything in them, soups bowls are filled only half way and their prices keep rising while the serving sizes keep shrinking. The dine-in is filthy. The tables and floor are always filled with crumbs and the bathrooms are disgusting. There are maybe two kind employees but the rest are awful. read more

We placed an order online for a few people at work and the time on the receipt said to pick it up at 1:45. They didn't finish our order until 2:15 and forgot one order. We called to let them know about it, and they said they would give us a free pastry for each person to make up for the mistake and time they wasted. So the girl whose lunch was missing went to pick up the order, and they gave her one cookie. They were not friendly and the manager Craig did nothing to correct their errors. This review is for Panera Catering. I am in Chicago and placed a catering order for two days for a work meeting. I was having trouble updating the order from the website so called the Rockford location directly. They were able to help me and the order was completed. We had delivery for two days and the food was prepared as ordered, delivered on time, well presented and everything went smoothly. It can be difficult when ordering for a large group and you are not there to manage the delivery, in this case, everything was handled professionally. I love panera, but this panera took forever to get my order done. The food tasted ok but a lot of the order was messed up. There was tomatoes in the salad, that i said not to put in. They also forgot my chocolate milk and rudely handed it to me after informing them. My grilled cheese and mac n' cheese were cold. The men's restroom was extremely dirty and the toilets didn't flush. I thought this meal would've been better considering the 30 minute wait and the bill of $40. read more

Let's just say Panera is Panera anywhere you go! I love it... This location is very spacious and busy. I ordered online for pick up. Normally someone greets you etc almost at every Panera. Didn't see that here... Also when I asked for my order one of the managers walked with me to the area. She asked for my name and last name and I told her and she just pointed at a bag and walked away. Everything was great food wise! Unfortunately, their customer service wasn't there. read more

The jazz music is a little loud, and the air conditioning is on a little too much for my taste, but I love the free wifi for when I am in need of an internet fix. The food is good too. I am a fan of the creamy tomatoe soup and the veggie mediterranean sandwich. I could hardly wait to get here from Chicago, so I could get my Panera fix. read more

Prices are the same as all Paneras. Downside is they have way to few outlets for people with laptops and the internet seems to be spotty sometimes. read more

The chain does a good job of keeping all locations up to a good standard and this location fits right in. The coffee is way to strong but they have hot water available so one can get it just right. read more

As a fan of free wi-fi and delectable carbs, I've always visited Panera Bread. But when I was passing through the village of Rockford, Illinois one day, I was surprised by how different this location really was. The smell of sugary treats, the smooth jazz music, and the warm heat felt great on that cold winter day. But then, suddenly something caught my eye: a fat man with his bible in hand was pretending to read it, looking around hoping to catch someone's eye. Unfortunately, we established eye contact and he pointedly flipped through the pages, trying to make a point. Oh, well. I ignored it, got my pastry and coffee, and sat down. Not a minute later I heard a conversation behind me: "It was so great that he finally accepted Jesus yesterday." I looked to my left: another person reading the Bible, trying to speak loudly about it. Wait...wasn't this a Panera bread? This seemed more like an Evangelical Witness Party. It wasn't like I cared if people talked freely...but really....why was almost EVERYONE here a religious zealot? If you're not of the witnessing Christian persuasion and want a cup of coffee, be forewarned: you'll probably be approached and witnessed to. If you don't mind it, that's cool, if you do...I suggest a different location. Sunday afternoons are the worst. read more

My husband and I have literally been going to this Panera bread for years, especially on Sunday mornings. Up until recently, we were very happy with the service and friendliness of the staff. BUT, the staff has changed and the service is not at all what it once was. I don't know what is going on, but they all need to have improved training. read more

I have very mixed reviews for here. They were extremely busy for a Friday around 2. I was pleasantly surprised tho at how fast they got everyone through the line. They didn't seem overwhelmed. There isn't a huge seating selection and is very tight. For as busy of an area with this location this is something that should be addressed. Because you have plenty of people trying to find a seat but can't bc they are none or you have people just sitting there dine eating and just talking. Anyway. ......food didn't take to long either maybe about 5 min which is acceptable for how busy they were. This is where I was thrown off. I ordered salad and soup, daughter had mac and cheese of course. Mind you I have been to many panera and not just here to rockford. When I got back to table and seated I realized that they didn't prepare my salad like usual it was thrown together and they didn't have the dressing already on the salad and mixed in. It was in a cup on top of the salad. I've never seen them do this before . Maybe it's because they were so busy I dunno but I looked around at others that had salads some had the same and others were already premixed. Not huge deal just odd to me. The bathrooms are lot to be desired they were dirty and needed some major repair. Food was still good though! Will I be back maybe just if I see it busy I will go elsewhere. read more

The Frontega Chicken sandwich is awesome; however, this location really sucks at making it. I am just glutton for punishment, because I keep going back. And, each time it seems to get worst. I have eaten at seven (7) different Panera bread all in Houston, TX and this one just do not measure up. Get with the program or get out of the business, Rockford Panera Bread!!! read more
