I absolutely love Panera, but this particular store is the best. My favorite used to be the one in San Marcos (), but I daresay the new mainside PB is the cleanest and coziest café of them all. It feels like a hotel lobby, but there's always enough space to sit down if you need a break. The employees are always so kind! I hope they never get rid of this Panera, and that they're able to expand more and rebuild the location in La Habra. read more

We hadn't been here in ages but we were hungry, it was late & the only place on base that was opened. We were surprised & a bit overwhelmed at the choices! I settled on a tuna sandwich on sourdough bread with French onion soup along with the passion papaya iced tea while hubby got the chicken sandwich with a small coke. The young lady behind the counter who took our order was so sweet, patient, friendly, and professional. She gave us a buzzer that would notify us that our order was ready. It appeared we were the only ones dining in but their pick up window was very active. This eatery is immaculately clean and brightly lit. There are a lot of tables and is tastefully decorated. The downside is that for being on a military base its prices are rather high; no military discount here. Despite being pricey ($44.00), we enjoyed our meals thoroughly. You can really taste the freshness & quality. My eyes are bigger than my stomach and I needed to get the soup to go. My sandwich was pretty big. Analisia got us the container & spoke with us for a bit. She's a sweet person & a true credit to Panera Bread. We would definitely return if on the base again. We'd like to try the flatbreads. We hope to run into Analisia again. She set the bar high in customer service. read more

I never had an issue with this Panera location until today. I always order rapid pick up and my order is always ready in 10-15 mins even during rush hour. Today I ordered rapid pick up during dinner time and the store was empty when I walked in. By the time I got home I realized I was missing a soup... I ordered 3 different types and only got 2. First time I was ever missing an item so that's why I didn't check when I picked it up. I'm still going to give this place 4 stars since it's the first time this has happened but I am really upset because it won't let me get a refund on the app and I really wanted that soup. I am pregnant and that was the one thing I was craving and now I can't have it. Thanks Panera. read more

I'm not a pizza lover, but if I'm going to have one, I don't mind getting the chipotle chicken & bacon flat bread pizza-it's one of my go-it's when I order from Panera. The prices for their menu is a bit high, but everyone always seems to be satisfied with their selections. We usually order from Panera for office luncheons and they've always come through-and they offer a reusable bag that I have to fight my coworkers for. Second visit to this location, but it's definitely going to be my last! I walked in, no greeting, no eye contact, no "how can I help you?" not even a halfway smile. Despite this place being basically empty, except for 2 people sitting in the back of the restaurant! I came in looking for a dozen bagels to take to a morning meeting. It was before 8:00 a.m. and already there were VERY slim pickings, most of their baskets were almost empty as they only had one or two bagels left. I noticed the menu offers a Tuesday special on their Baker's Dozen so I inquired on that, only to receive no response from the woman behind the register area, just a glare. Wow! I brushed it off and just said I'd take a dozen, again, no response. So I start naming the bagels I want, as I have no idea what she's doing or if she needs this info yet. She was ringing up on the register, so I assumed she was ready, because still at this point, she has not uttered a single word to me. Now she finally speaks and says, "wait," that's it, nothing else. No customer service at all! That's my pet peeve! After I finally got through with my order, which was worse than pulling teeth, I waited at the end of the counter to wait for her to package my stuff. When she was finished, she did not say a word! Not a "here's your items" or "your order is ready" or anything at all. Obviously I knew my stuff was ready when I saw the bag on the counter so I went to pick it up, and again no acknowledgement from her at all. It's just an awful feeling to walk into a business and purchase goods without any interaction and being left like you're a burden for coming in. You'd think it wouldn't happen at this location because it is on base, but it did. Oh well, we live and we learn. read more

Not a huge fan on Panera but our options on base were limited. Went with take two options. My wife's grilled cheese was not toasted well. Both of our soups were good and my spicy chicken sandwich was OK. Thought it was somewhat pricey for what we got. I likely wouldn't return for meals. read more

I'm waiting for the owner of this franchise to contact me. I've left my info with the current manager. No response from the franchise owner. I had an employee yell at my husband and I that we've never worked a hard in our lives. My husband is a 20 year Veteran who served this country everyday willing to give his life for our freedom. I am a former labor leader of 1.6 million people. I fought for the fight for $15 at the state capitol so the little girl who yelled at us could make what she does... We never had our receipt given to us as the employee threw it away. Lukas the old manager had a staff pull out a ladder to fix the old menu. Corporate told me I needed my husbands debit card to get a refund. I was yelled at. My charges couldn't be explained by the person who took my order and later came and threw away my receipt after the manager printed it out. The over charge couldn't be explained by the manager Lukas who said we ordered a Greek goddess but we didn't - we ordered a cord on blue sandwich. I will never eat at a Panera again. NEVER I encourage all military personnel to avoid the Panera on Camp Pendleton. Shame on you Panera franchise owner! Shame on you!!! read more

I have never written a review before, but my experience today was so exceptional I didn't have to write this, I needed to write this. I have recently had to go gluten and dairy-free and when I knew my only option was Panera Bread due to visiting Camp Pendleton for some work and being short on time I was very concerned they were not going to have anything. On top of my concern, the place was packed. When I got to the cashier the woman that took my order could not have been more patient and genuinely helpful. When I asked her if there was anything on the menu that would meet my constraints she quickly pulled out her green binder and proceeded to look through all the items we thought might work and looked at their ingredients. After narrowing things down we finally settled on the Asian Chicken salad without the wontons. The salad was good, but the service was excellent! I should have given a bigger tip!! read more

Ordered a breakfast sandwich through the app and specified no cheese. Cheese ended up in the sandwich anyways, and instead of on side Mayo I got thousand island dressing. This location has a tendency to mess up orders or leave out ingredients and fail to do quality check before the food gets to the customer. My favorite place to eat at Camp Pendleton. Consistent with all the other Panera Bread locations. Quick service, delicious soups and fresh bread and desserts. Something gets messed up in every. Single. Order. Often times they forget something. Last time they used the wrong lettuce. This time they gave me the wrong dressing. I want to like this place, not many food options nearby so I was hoping this place would at least be on par with other Panera locations. This place is usually really good however we decided to eat with some of our friends who decided to order a tuna melt to go along with our order. Upon receiving the tuna melt we were met with this conglomerate of ingredients haphazardly placed into this paper wrapper at which point I advised my friend to go back and get another one. The menu and ingredients are really good so this is a case of extremely poor customer service. The manager needs to remediate with all staff on how customers should be treated. read more

I went to pick up lunch today around 11 o clock. When I reached into my bag to grab my apple I felt something wet. My apple already had been bitten into . I called Panera to talk to the manager (I believe her name is Paige). She said she would give me a refund and do whatever necessary to make it better. I wasn't able to make it back for another hour. Karina came out to talk to me. She had no idea why I was there. (The message wasn't passed onto her that I would be coming for my refund ). She went on to tell me there is no possible way that what I was saying could be true as they check their apples . She didn't apologize or have any remorse that I went to their store and touched someone else's saliva by touching this apple . This whole experience was mortifying especially with corona virus on the rise . This place definitely needs to look into the way they handle food, sanitize and their customer service read more

Did a curbside order. Ordered chicken noodle soup and a broccoli cheddar soup. Receipt is marked as 'check by AB'. When we got home they gave us 2 broccoli cheddars and not the chicken noodle. So they didn't check the order at all. This is the second time they've done this with my orders here. And they won't refund or help you. read more

I came in at around 11:30. Ordered my lunch, was helped at the register by a young girl with short black and purple hair. She was so sweet. While waiting for my food I overheard the manager rudely telling the girl that helped me her hair color was unacceptable in front of customers, including myself. I was appalled. I believe the managers name was Cheyenne. I thought this was 2020. I won't be back if they are going to treat their employees like this and humiliate them in front of customers. read more

Very disappointed with my recent orders from this restaurant. I order a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast and added sausage and avocado. My sandwich was completely soggy, and there was no bacon on the sandwich. Went to take a bite of my sandwich and the egg yolk was so runny and raw it dripped all over my uniform. Pay almost $10 for a sandwich that is undercooked, soggy and missing the main ingredient. There are limited places on base to eat as is, if you guys are going to take up a spot on base at least serve some decent food. read more
