Second visit to this location, but it's definitely going to be my last! I walked in, no greeting, no eye contact, no "how can I help you?" not even a halfway smile. Despite this place being basically empty, except for 2 people sitting in the back of the restaurant! I came in looking for a dozen bagels to take to a morning meeting. It was before 8:00 a.m. and already there were VERY slim pickings, most of their baskets were almost empty as they only had one or two bagels left. I noticed the menu offers a Tuesday special on their Baker's Dozen so I inquired on that, only to receive no response from the woman behind the register area, just a glare. Wow! I brushed it off and just said I'd take a dozen, again, no response. So I start naming the bagels I want, as I have no idea what she's doing or if she needs this info yet. She was ringing up on the register, so I assumed she was ready, because still at this point, she has not uttered a single word to me. Now she finally speaks and says, "wait," that's it, nothing else. No customer service at all! That's my pet peeve! After I finally got through with my order, which was worse than pulling teeth, I waited at the end of the counter to wait for her to package my stuff. When she was finished, she did not say a word! Not a "here's your items" or "your order is ready" or anything at all. Obviously I knew my stuff was ready when I saw the bag on the counter so I went to pick it up, and again no acknowledgement from her at all. It's just an awful feeling to walk into a business and purchase goods without any interaction and being left like you're a burden for coming in. You'd think it wouldn't happen at this location because it is on base, but it did. Oh well, we live and we learn.

Take 2 Combo

Not a huge fan on Panera but our options on base were limited. Went with take two options. My wife's grilled cheese was not toasted well. Both of our soups were good and my spicy chicken sandwich was OK. Thought it was somewhat pricey for what we got. I likely wouldn't return for meals.

Haphazard Tuna Melt.

This place is usually really good however we decided to eat with some of our friends who decided to order a tuna melt to go along with our order. Upon receiving the tuna melt we were met with this conglomerate of ingredients haphazardly placed into this paper wrapper at which point I advised my friend to go back and get another one. The menu and ingredients are really good so this is a case of extremely poor customer service. The manager needs to remediate with all staff on how customers should be treated.

Muy buena selección de sándwiches de desayunos. Los he probado todos y ninguno le resta sabor al otro. Servicio rápido y comida deliciosa.

The inside, outside, and bar are all seated on the waiting list. They sat the 2 of us at the bar and it was a fun experience. The bartender made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu. They have 8 draft beers on tap and a large cocktail menu. We started off with the crispy brussels and it was excellent. The balsamic honey reduction was a nice addition to the appetizer. We got two sandwiches (chimichurri steak press and brisket reuben) and both were very good and recommended by the bartender. I enjoyed the fries a little more than the chips for a side item. Definitely plan on coming back to this restaurant the next time I'm up in Clemson!

The bar has seating for about 12 to 15 and it is open style and very loud as evidenced by the noise baffles hanging from the ceiling. Our server was so sweet she took the time to explain that she too is a Clemson student and went into depth on the menu. I got the French dip and you can add three wings to your meal which seems like a good idea at the time. Also I swapped out the fries for a salad because I'm chunky. My wife and daughter at the burger and chicken tacos respectively, Burger was indeed tasty and the tacos were on point. Place seems to die down about 8:30 but it was the first week back from school break but you can tell this is a local favorite especially when the parents come in town! If things go well and we end up sending our daughter to Clemson we will definitely be back to evolve!

A deli ,a shop , very local and a bit on the honor system where you get a bag and write down what you want on a sandwich to eat ,pick a drink and sit and enjoy. So 6 of us came in, found a table, got our orders into the box and waited for our names to be called. Only took five minutes or so, and each one of our orders was called and you go up and pick it up and head back to the table. Maybe pick up some cake , or anything else you desire but I got a turkey Panini with everything on it and it was super !!! a side of potato salad, and some chips for some reason and I was stuffed. The kids ate well., and we even bought some lasagnas and a chicken casserole to take home for my daughter to eat with her family tonight and tomorrow so she didn't have to cook. This place was packed today the day before Christmas Christmas Eve., everyone looked happy, the staff was very pleasant and very efficient , and the shelves were lined with candies and chips or spices. I actually didn't have time to look at all the options, but what a great market and place to enjoy with the kids and family.. We were able to get the kids fed, cleaned up their mess and checked out with tons to go. They go to place. I hear in town and it was fantastic. Highly recommend.!!!

The menu is extensive and is made up of various baked goods designed in the UK, France, and Italy (and maybe more). Megan had a chicken salad sandwich that had bacon, some fruit, and was on focaccia. Megan enjoyed it a lot. I had some butternut squash soup and a steak pie. Both were mighty tasty. I had a good laugh when the owner said to be sure to use all the gravy. LOL you dont know me, I will take two gravies! We had a few baked goods to go including a pasty, croissant, and a bear claw. These were good but as with all freshly made baked goods you need to eat soon, don't let it linger! Oh yeah, looking at my photos the reason that we went to FWS in the first place was to pick up some baguettes to make banh mi sandwiches, and those were great.

I left with more than I planned, but it all looked so good, smelled so good and he was so passionate about his craft that I just wanted to try them all. The chocolate croissant is still my favorite, but the blueberry scone is a close second.

One side has a bakery where you can watch the delicious goodies being made. The other side is a small cafe. Although there is limited seating I have never had to wait for a table. I haven't gone on the weekend (pretty sure the Sunday morning brunch would be a different story). A friend and I met for lunch at 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. My friend had the Café Club with the pasta salad and a sweet tea. I had the Quiche of the Day, the pasta salad and a hot cup of Clemson Sunrise (Vanilla, Caramel & White Mocha). The pasta salad wasn't my favorite-next time I'll give the potato salad a try. The service and food were very good. The café closed at 2:00 pm. Since we were still visiting, my friend and I grabbed our drinks and walked a few steps to the center of the lovely town square and found a swing to continue our conversation...but that's for another review.
