-ONE PARAGRAPH REVIEW- Oh Panera, this Dartmouth location was once bumping every night- with inviting lighting, comfy seats, a sofa, a gas fireplace, and friendly baristas. Gone is all that, replaced by harsh bright lighting, booths that are squeezed too tight, and too few workers, all of whom look like they would rather be somewhere else. They are frequently out of things, especially bread bowls which is a shame. The dining room is also frequently dirty. I still come here sometimes because I have nostalgia for peak Panera and the food is decent (yet also used to be better too), but nowadays I grab my food and go because I don't like sitting inside that soulless, dirty, harshly lit, uncomfortable place. read more

Well, this new Panera Bread review is worse than my 1st one. We ordered our food to-go. I ordered the French Dipper sandwich with an apple as my side, a Chocolate Chip Muffie, and a small Frozen Hot Chocolate drink ... hubby ordered the French Onion Soup. So after opening everything up at home I seen that I did not get my apple, and not only was my small Frozen Hot Chocolate drink smaller than small it also had zero flavor. Very sad. Hubby's French Onion Soup, which is supposed to have bread and melted cheese on top, did not have any bread but he had to add his own shredded cheese on top and microwave it himself. So disappointing, especially for the price we paid. The ONLY good thing was that my French Dipper sandwich actually tasted good. I didn't even use the dip, the sandwich was good on its' own, I guess. Probably will not be going back anytime soon. I'll spend my money somewhere else. read more

This place used to be a favorite quick stop for my Cape Cod area to RI and beyond back and forth trips, but after weird experiences this past year I don't think I'll be stopping there much anymore. Today and in previous visits they were out of what is considered regular menu items at other locations. As I recall in a visit this past summer, they had advertised something on the digital menu that I ordered, and then realized they did not have it, leading the manager to issuing me a full refund. Doesn't seem worth the effort to come in when snafus like that continue to occur. read more

Nestled in the Dartmouth mall, so ample parking, but in turn can be very crowded inside as it is a smaller location. Ingredients are always fresh, and I've never experienced my order being made incorrectly. Average customer service, as it is lots of younger workers. read more

The place is disgusting. The service is even worse. I've never met such rude workers in my entire life. And the worst part is it seems like it's only this Panera in Dartmouth! Also ever since Covid the chicken has never been the same it is so disgusting now I can't even eat it it just taste so fake. read more

I don't know what's going on at the local Dartmouth Panera bread. Past few times place is a mess debris all over the floor not clean. Our last visit was today January 5 for dinner. only three people working register and kitchen. I saw the female manager in the background. They cannot get my order straight, but did correct it. I feel like since Covid, they've never recovered. The went way up on prices but I feel like we are at fast food place with the new decor, dirty tables and debris all over the floor. The place has lost its charm. read more

First off let me start by saying the service here was horrible. The staff had some of the worst attitudes I've seen in along time. Not greeting patrons when they come in..chit-chatting at the register while orders trying to be placed, funky attitude when asked for butter, the manager had a stick up her....and the soup was warm. Dare I say never again! Doesn't even deserve 1 star, but I cannot post without it! read more

Honestly I don't know what to think about this Panera Bread. Starting with parking: There's a lot of space to park your car since it sits at a mall, so it's rare for anyone to not have any parking slots. Service: As said by many reviews, they seem to get your order wrong at least once every time. Employees: In this experience I had, it looked like a new employee was attending me who she didn't quite know some stuff yet and the manager was teaching. Food: It's Panera, I absolutely love the food they have, I'd choose this over any other location guaranteed. Price: Can be a bit pricey but you can work with it. Overall: 56/100 It's a great place to eat but it seems as they go through new employees a lot which causes orders to mess up, sadly there's no drive thru either which for people who want to take out, they can't due to the location of the place. read more

Terrible service . I just ordered today an order from Grubhub . I waited 2 hours and then the order was eventually canceled . i even got a text from the Grubhub driver who was waiting inside the restaurant that "they were so busy". 2 hours after placing my order , I get a text from Grubhub that the order had to be cancelled . No reason given . So unprofessional . I will tell my friends never to go to Panera . read more

Personally I've never had any issue regarding the food. I've always gone around lunch time for the soup and sandwich. I don't recall service being slow or bad the times I've gone but I will say they're way overpriced which is what keeps them at 3 stars for me read more

Went into Panera Bread to grab a little breakfast. Thought I would just get my usual Egg Soufflé and a coffee. Everything looked so good I decided to buy 2 egg soufflés, a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon roll. I thought I might as well go home with breakfast and a snack for my husband and I. Well, I should have said something at the cafe when I saw the girl cutting my cinnamon roll from a pan underneath the counter. They apparently made fresh cinnamon rolls which they put on display and gave me the old cinnamon rolls probably were leftover from the day before. When I ate the cinnamon roll at home, STALE as can be... like eating cardboard !!! Not happy To spend good money on what you think would be fresh baked pastry. Buyer beware. I would love to continue to go there as I usually really like their food. But it is getting way overpriced for what you're getting. Day old Cinnamon Coffee Rolls just don't sit well with me!!! I bought 4 pastries and a coffee to go...$25. Sorry Panera Bread but retired people on social security cannot afford those prices. Can't you give at least a senior discount? read more

Good Food and Consistent, It is on the pricey side in my opinion. Service is good most of the time. Good atmosphere and great place to have a coffee and pastry and get some work accomplished away from the office. I recommend the Dartmouth Ma location. read more

Today I placed a pick two order. I got a half Caesar and flatbread pizza. Halfway through my salad I found a dead earwig in it. I immediately became so nauseous and threw everything away. I called the store in Dartmouth and whomever answered the phone, a male, I didn't get his name, was unapologetic, irritated by my call and said he cancelled the payment. I appreciate that and understand sometimes things happen but his attitude was really bad. It reflected poorly on the whole store. I offered to send a picture he said no it's not necessi already cancelled payment. It was as if he was saying what else do you want me to do?? Maybe apologizing would have been a good start. So turned off read more

I have ordered from Panera at this location months ago and it was just ok. Today was a different story. I ordered a large chicken caesar salad and when i got it to go and got it home, the bowl was only half filled with salad. What a joke!!! It was hardly any salad in the bowl. Also, Panera already had made the size of these bowls smaller ...unlike a year or two ago , so on top of it already being small, it wasn't even filled. This was NOT what i ordered. The pictures speak for themselves and needless to say, I will not be ordering from here ever again. Shame on you Panera, such poor business practice read more

This panera has made me completely boycott panera bread as a company. There were two instances where I did a rapid pickup and my wrap wasn't even wrapped and served to me completely open. First complaint I made was over the phone to the manager and she credited me 10$. I gave them another shot to make the wrap properly the following week and received a wrap that was completely open and not folded at all after I was told they forgot to put egg in my EGG breakfast wrap. I took a picture of the wrap and walked back into panera to show the manager so she didn't think I was scamming them. She took zero responsibility and pointed all the blame with an eye roll on training her people. The week following I did a rapid order for a bagel.. because how can they screw up a bagel?! Went in to pick it up and they didn't even complete my order at all. I asked the FOUR ladies in the bakery area about my order...was greeted with urban attitude and they had no idea what to do. They then realized how to do their jobs and said "Well we don't have everything bagels ... so what do you want" No apology. I told them I didn't have time for them to make me another one and that's why I had it as a rapid pickup. They pushed me onto the manger to complete my refund and as I was talking to her to express I needed a refund, all four girls were cackling at my misfortune and the fact they didn't do their job. This place is a joke and the manager clearly doesn't have control over her insubordinate, rude staff. read more

Let's start off with saying I LOVE Panera, but NOT this location! They are always out of something, the staff is horrendous (your typical young kids who don't want to work) we ordered a grilled cheese one time and got to pieces of bread with melted cheese on TOP of it-and it was an end piece lol it was the strangest thing! I travel quite a bit, and I always look for Panera Bread when I visit new places because they are consistently clean, delicious, and friendly. I can't give this Panera a good review I am afraid to say. This Panera was a mess! My husband and I came to Panera after church this morning (10:45). We were surprised that it was not as crowded as usual but it is a rainy day! We waited 20 minutes to be waited on and there was no coffee for almost an hour. When we finally received the Bagel we each ordered they were cold. It is now 11:30 and fora Sunday morning this is usually busy. I know they have been doing a lot of hiring because the sign was posted for a while, however you don't have all knew people on at busy times. I just went up to get coffee and they put the hazelnut in the regular thermos. Finally I went to the ladies room and it was nasty. We travel a lot and have eaten at Panera across the country, never had a problem! You guys need to get your act together or you will be read more

Vegan review: Panera breads are pretty much the same any where you go. This one is no different but lacks the crazy lines a lot of them have. Had a pretty unpleasant experience here last night. First, while waiting in line to order I could plainly hear a couple of the girls behind the counter talking about how annoyed they were at how busy they were. I work in foodservice too, I get the feeling, but that didn't exactly inspire warm feelings of hospitality on my first visit there. The customer shouldn't be exposed to the worker's personal frustrations. Second, I sat down to eat with my friend who had a grilled cheese and after eating for a minute or so she pulled out a long blond hair from the middle of the sandwich... beyond gross. The workers there wear ballcaps behind the counter, and if this isn't a perfect case for hairnets then I don't know what is. To add insult to injury, after I brought the plate up to the counter and showed the panini jockey her hair, when I sat back down I could see this female supervisor leaning against a wall and joking about how she found a hair in her food once. Totally unprofessional. Speaking from one manager to another, you'd be doing yourself a favor by making these kids wear hairnets under their hats. You lost me as a customer, but you might be able to keep more in the future with improved sanitary practices and customer service. read more

*Vegan Review* They have an entire plant based menu that you can choose from! Which makes things very easy for vegans to navigate what you can get. I love the vegan lentil quinoa bowl it is DELICIOUS! I get the Mediterranean sandwich and just add more greens and veggies that I prefer! It tasted amazing. I would highly recommend online ordering vs going inside to order, you are likely to have everything made more correctly if you order online and just do the rapid pick up then you can eat inside or take it home! read more

Orderred avocado chicken melt went all the way home and of course no avacodo. Also stated there was curb side pick up on app . So we waited. And it said it was done. However several minutes went by as we followed the instructions and put on our hazard lights . However nobody came out and I went inside and plenty of staff just lounging and there our food was on the counter. It wouldn't have been a issue f that was explained on the app . I've been to this Panera several times, but for some reason I never reviewed it.. This is one of the better locations, parking sucks, but its in a mall.. otherwise, its great.. Today I just went in for a frozen caramel iced coffee, craving cold and caffeine after walking through the mall and spending money LOL The girl at the register was very friendly, service was fast and no complaints at all.. I've had most of their soups and sandwiches on prior visits and have never had a bad experience, the service is always fast and friendly and the restaurant is always clean. The variety of soups is great too, I just wish they hadn't taken my favorite smoked turkey panini off the menu!! Pastry and bagel selection is great too, I only did breakfast here once and everything looked so good, I felt like ordering the whole menu! This is one of my favorite chain restaurants, mainly because it doesn't feel like a chain. Going to Panera, you enter a cozy and inviting environment, with comfortable seats, charging areas, and fill your own drinks. The food is not too costly, and it is all natural. They use no chemicals or preservatives, and they make it clear. If you are looking for a great tasting but not too bad for your health food splurge, this is the right place. Panera Bread offers a variety of bread based foods, soups, salads, and many more. Drinks are perfected to your taste with natural ingredients. In my experience, some of the employee are rude, but other than that, it is a great place to eat. You not only can sit down, but order ahead on the app and pick up. read more

Here I am again writing a pitiful review for Panera Bread, went today this morning at 10 am waited at least 7 mins. to be ignored! Must ask if ignoring customers is a required item on hiring. We ordered takeout for our family. Order takers were friendly and efficient. They take Apple Pay so that was a plus. The food was fine and consistent with expectations for a Panera Bread. Unfortunately as we waited for our order to be filled, from where we stood we saw a collection of dust, dirt and dead bugs on an eye level shelf under their work area. Also lots of dust hanging from the rear of a monitor in the food prep area. See pictures. If we saw this much dirt from the waiting area I wonder what the conditions are where we can't see? read more

Probably the worst customer experience that I have ever had. I placed an order for curbside pick up. When the employee came out she was furious telling me that I'm wasting my Time by not going inside. By far the rudest experience I have ever had at a food establishment. I could hear the employee telling other cars the same thing. Even if there is truth to what she is saying there's no reason to be that rude about it. If I can't trust you To act appropriately in front of me that I'm certainly not going to trust you to make my food. read more
