I am always looking for new places to try. I happen to follow Java Shack on socials and always see their yummy pictures of their food and coffees, so I had to see for myself what it was all about. The day I went, they had several customers in line and in their seating area, so I was not able to talk a lot of pictures to show how nice it was inside, but it was really nice and well decorated. I'm all about the esthetics that make the visit inviting, and it definitely had that. The associates were pleasant and quick to take my order. The food all looked so good, but I chose a cheese Danish and the limited time iced iced Zebra Latte. It was ready quickly, and it was the best cheese Danish I've actually had. I will definitely be going back again soon to try some of the other items and lattes on their menu. Take a trip to visit them if you have not been yet. There are many options and they all look amazing!

    Iced Caramel Latte

I came here one afternoon to enjoy a latte in the sunny weather. This coffee shop has is cozy inside with plenty of tables outside. Upon walking inside, you see the huge colorful and aesthetically pleasing menu board. I ordered a iced caramel latte w soy even though they have so many flavorings I don't see often like mudslide and cupcake. The latte was rgood! I also got the veggie hummus wrap. It has cheese- so I don't think it's vegan- just for anyone who has dietary restrictions. Overall a good experience. My only complaint is it was a bit sticky on the tables and counters.

I have been looking for another quality coffee shop in the area that has more parking than Mirasol's - I heard about Java Shack having good coffee and ample parking, so I figured I'd give it a try! I ended up getting the Karma açaí bowl - the bowl was so delicious and fresh, and was presented beautifully in a coconut shell bowl! The restaurant was extremely clean with an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch. They is plenty of seating, including outdoor tables on a patio with umbrellas. I loved the food and atmosphere at Java Shack, and am so glad I found out about it! This will most likely become my new go-to coffee shop in the area!

Breakfast burrito with eggs, beans, cheese, salsa, potatoes and bacon. Ridiculously delicious!

It was the power of Instagram and Java Shack posting photos of their massive donuts that brought us to Dartmouth and we are sure glad we made the trip. Java Shack is located in an industrial building and doesn't stand out externally but once you make your way inside you'll find a great little coffee shop. The staff was friendly and inviting and quickly took our order. I had a dark roast coffee that was very good and opted for the breakfast burrito. When I tell you that this burrito was probably one of the best I ever had you have to believe me and go try one for yourself. Eggs, bacon, salsa, cheese, potatoes and beans were all packed into the tortilla and made for quite the breakfast meal. Two in our group had bagels with cream cheese and a sausage, egg and cheese on a cheese bagel rounded out our order. Except, of course, we had to try donut so had a vanilla frosted donut that was about the size of a man-hole cover and was packed with flavor. Java Shack had some gigantic gourmet donut options available, as well, for those who are seeking a donut adventure. An iced vanilla latte received great reviews from one of my co-diners, as well. Pricing was very reasonable given the quality of the food and drink and this would definitely be a place we would stop back to if back in the Dartmouth area again.

Best Acai bowl I have ever had !!!

This place is a hidden gem. Great for healthy eating as they offer many healthy food choices, like salads, wraps, and Acai bowls. Best Acai bowls I have ever had. Friendly staff and fresh wholesome ingredients, I will be visiting this establishment often since it is now on my list of favorite places to eat.

So good with so many coffee choices to pick from! Java shack is a hidden gem in Dartmouth with all flavorful items on the menu! Java offers several different coffee choices with both breakfast and lunch including açaí bowls, avocado toast, and breakfast sandwiches. A must try!

    Good Karma Bowl

Not from around this area. Found The Java Shack by search surrounding area for some quick breakfast items. I ordered the Good Karma bowl. Ingredients were açaí, kiwi, banana, blueberries, honey, granola and chia seeds. (sorry if I missed any). OMG this was seriously life changing. The quality of the ingredients were impeccable. I would encourage everyone to go here. I'm so sad though this place is an hour away from me.

First things first, the iced latte was exactly what I needed. As someone who runs on iced coffee year round, this one definitely hit the mark. I also tried a gluten free cookie that the owner personally recommended and it was delicious. Always appreciate when someone can point you in the right direction with gluten free options. The whole vibe of the cafe is cozy and welcoming with lots of cute places to sit, read and hang out for a while. Perfect for catching up with friends or opening a book and pretending you're in your "main character at a coffee shop" era. They also have smoothies, great snacks and a small selection of items from local artisans which makes it even more fun to browse while you're there. If I lived closer, this would absolutely be one of those spots I'd pop into regularly for a latte and a quiet moment. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Fairhaven area.

My only suggestion would be to serve it with a spoon so you can mix the cider into the Prosecco a little more. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Mozambique and it was really good. The flavors were amazing, although I do wish there was a little more sauce. My friend got the chouriço and cheese roll, split and toasted on the grill, and it looked just as good. We also grabbed two coffees to go and tried the pumpkin fluff special. Both coffees were delicious and honestly didn't even need any added sweetener. The restaurant itself is really cute and has a cozy feel. Parking isn't the easiest, so just be prepared for that. The bathrooms were okay, but I'd give them about a 3/5. Our waitress was very attentive in the beginning, and I think she could tell we were there to catch up and weren't in any rush, which I appreciated. There's also some outdoor seating, which looked really cute on the cobblestone street. It was wet and a little too early for us to sit outside, but I could definitely see myself enjoying it another time. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Tia Mariah and will be back to try more of the menu!

The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around.
