Coffee tasted great and each espresso shot is made fresh. Baked good are made in-house which is refreshing to see. Specials rotate every week and I ordered their iced blonde latte mixed with a white mocha-caramel . Wide range of flavor options so you'll be able to experience something new each time. A great coffee shop with friendly staff. The owner is very dedicated to his craft in delivering tasty coffee and even yummier breakfast sandwiches. Happy to know this is located in New Bedford! read more

We stayed across the street for a work conference, I love trying local shops so I ventured over for an espresso and a quick bite. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, I have an egg intolerance and they made me the special sandwich without egg. Doesn't sound like a big deal but some places you can't mod things. We actually came back for another coffee as a group after. Looking forward to another visit read more

This is such a cute addition to downtown New Bedford. I was excited when they first opened and I still love going here. It's super cute, clean and colorful in here. They always have fun new specials and tons of food and beverages to chose from. You're sure to find something you love! The seating here is cozy too. My friend loves to grab a coffee and catch up, and then she'll stay to do work or coursework. They have really nice hours for a coffee shop too which is always a big bonus in my book! read more

They make one of the best chocolate chip cookies here!. Their coffee is medium-dark roast, they don't make any light roast (my fav) but it has been wonderful every time!. Black Americano is solid 5 stars. They roast their own coffee beans. The coffee ship is beautiful! It is by the water, they have limited seats, indoors and outdoors. Weekends are so busy; for a good reason. They bake all their pastries in house. The staff can be overwhelmed and snippy. But overall it is a solid coffee ship that is worth checking if you're in the area. read more

The best! This place always has such cool flavors and specials to try and they're consistent with service, quality, and taste! The pastries are amazing as well - my favorites are the almond croissant and the pistachio croissant. Such a cute little place and so light even on a rainy day :) Highly recommend! read more

Made a little Sunday roadtrip to New Bedford to check out Ground Floor Coffee. First and foremost, the staff at this coffee shop were top notch in terms of being friendly, welcoming and helpful. A good initial sign! The coffee shop is bright and right on the wharf in downtown New Bedford. The main coffee shop area has some booth seating available and then a back room has more benches available for additional seating options, as well. I went for a cup of hot coffee which was piping hot and flavorful while my wife opted for the vanilla caramel iced latte; she raved about it and noted it to be excellent! We split a piece of apple coffee cake and all of the pastries looked to be quite good. In addition to the baked goods, breakfast sandwiches could also be ordered and we'd look to try one if back at Ground Floor in the future. Place was busy with customers coming in and out; always nice to see for a local business. read more

I tried a 16 oz sized hot Crème Brûlée latte with coconut milk. If you're a caramel macchiato fan this is the closest I can think that it tastes like. The barista that assisted me must've assumed I wanted iced so when I saw they brought it out - I then asked if they can make it hot please. The barista did not complain -- just said no problem which I can appreciate especially as a person who has worked in customer service. The price was a little over $8 -- which was a bit on the pricier side than I expected. Either way, the taste was awesome. read more

Great food and coffee. Miserable staff ... sorry to bother you with my order. Wish I could take my tip back

The coffee was pretty good. Service was pretty good. But the cookies were stale. I got there early and it tasted old.

Exceptionally strong coffee that taste great, I usually just get an iced latte while my wife tends to get one of their flavored options or rotating specials. Staff is friendly and there's plenty of seating, great place with a chill atmosphere to get some work done away from the office or home. Not a complaint but I wish they stayed open a bit later, like maybe 7 or later. There's no good coffee in the city after 5pm! Also they don't ask for a name on your order or provide an order number so when it's busy and people start ordering the same drinks it can be a bit confusing when orders are called out, just my two cents... 10/10 Happy to have such a great option for coffee here in New Bedford read more

I had a really disappointing experience at Ground Floor Coffee Shop. The staff came across as overly sensitive, yet completely dismissive and rude when it came to actual customer needs. It felt like there was a double standard--plenty of concern for themselves, but very little respect or understanding for the people supporting their business. I was there with my 4-month-old daughter, who uses a gentle bird sound machine to stay calm. Instead of showing any empathy, someone behind the counter told me to turn it down, which felt unnecessary and inconsiderate given the situation. It's frustrating to see so many coffee shops popping up around New Bedford acting like they're high-end or above everyone else, when basic customer service is clearly lacking. At the end of the day, everyone matters--not just the people behind the counter read more

This is a popular hangout, and they have extra seats both outside and in their 'event space' in back which could be good if you're working. I just had a cappuccino, which was strong and well executed. I think the service depends on how busy they are, but everyone was nice and helpful. read more

Love this little coffee spot right on the water. On a nice day you can sit on their outdoor patio and watch the boats. I got a crème brûlée cold brew and an egg & cheese sandwich, both really good (you can add any flavoring to their cold brew!). They have lots of spring specials and Wi-Fi if you need to get some work done. The staff was a little rowdy and loud but I think they were just having fun together on a Saturday. Overall a great spot! read more

Went here on Monday July 15th 2024 to eat something before we headed to Martha's Vineyard via the seastreak boat that is nearby. It's a cute little cafe with booths, and tables both high and low to sit at. i got a chocolate chip muffin, and an iced coffee with mocha, my mom got an egg sandwich, and my dad got a bacon egg sandwich. food was overall good and very filling. We were also helped right away, and paid via credit card. Some issues with the sandwich was that my mom ordered the egg sandwich without bacon, and it had bacon on there, that was sort of crispy. We ate everything, because we wanted to eat, but pay attention if the customer don't want something. I enjoyed my muffin, and coffee. Would come again if we are ever in the area. read more

Someone suggested I try this place out so I went the other day and it was a pretty good vibe. Coffee was really good too. Looking forward to going back and grabbing something to eat next time read more

So, I'll say that the coffee was good, but that's where it ends. We had a large party and the staff was visibly annoyed rather than grateful for the business. Ordered the featured breakfast sandwich which was underwhelming so put it nicely. It was a hot sandwich, but undercooked and cold-slapped together with as much enthusiasm as we were greeted with. Never going back. I'd rather have instant coffee at the gas station. read more

Cute atmosphere, although the booth seating definitely limits the amount of people that can sit in. Husband and I went recently and got a couple of lattes, a croissant, and a sandwich. The croissant was served heated, even though we asked for it cold. The Caesar wrap was dry as could be. Lattes were fine. Nice place to stop for a cup of joe, but definitely would not come back for lunch. read more

Great coffee and pastries as well as friendly, fast service ! I recommend this coffee show very highly and we'll be going there regularly.

I visited this coffee shop recently and was treated very rudely and disrespectfully by staff. This is the first negative online review I have ever written. However, I felt it was warranted by the conduct of the staff. read more

I HATED this place, there was this guy who wouldn't stop staring at me through the window into the kitchen. The cold-case food was unappetizing, to say the least. The drinks were good, as the front of house staff were very nice, but I was creeped out by the window starer the whole time. read more
