We have good luck overall with Panera's....this one in Myrtle proved to be a bit of a challenge, no one at the counter, had to use a pad that did not show everything available, then when we ordered a soufflé, and waited 10 minutes for it to come out, I finally asked, and was told you get those at the bakery?, it did not say it on pad, and no one was at the counter to ask?.. I don't like where we are going with restaurants with this pad ordering it just takes a whole aspect out of it and seems to screw up more than not. We also had the same thing at a dumpling place at Myrtle Beach. Food overall is good. read more

I went back to the counter and the girl behind the counter said that's the portion we're supposed to give. Please take a look at the pictures that they show and what they give. First time at this panara location. Starting the review with that I love Panara and their soups and salads, as well as sandwiches. My favorite is the autumn squash soup. Went here on Thursday August 21st 2025 with my mom to get some much needed dinner. We decided on Panara because I also had a gift card, and I haven't had panara in a while. Oh, and side note- i find panara a bit healthier, and has healthy options. Anyways, we entered the store. First we were deciding what we wanted, which did take a while. Cashier greeted us and was very nice. She even complimented on my Jonas Brothers shirt, and my harry potter backpack! Anyways, I ordered the you pick 2- Strawberry Poppyseed salad with mexican chipoltle soup. I had a strawberry smoothie with that. My mom got a chicken moserella sandwich with mac and cheese, and some kind of tea. We paid via a gift card. I am also a panara member where one can get points and get a free thing for one's birthday. One feedback about the cashier is that, unless it changed-- she didn't ask if I wanted bread, an apple, or chips. There is plenty of room to sit in the dining room, and outside too! Avoid Iced Tea I'm in the sip club. So have frequented routinely. I've just stopped it. The quality is hit and miss. I kept going back to give them more chances. But no. I think I've only had good tea 20% of the time. I'm not continuing to give them slack. The last 3 times, for example. Twice they gave sweet tea for unsweetened tea order. I confirmed on my order history it was ordered correctly. I realized it was sweet only after adding artificial sweeteners. At home. Not driving back. The third time today, it was really water with a hint of tea. On top of that, tasted like grounds from the bottom. So nasty I threw it away. No motivation at this restaurant to do better. They really don't care. Thus, I don't care either to continue doing business there. Wasting money. I'll miss the grill cheese and tomato soup but that's all. read more

Suggested I call Panera. I called. Was told I could come by next week and pick up a "free" soup!! Free? $32.00 I asked if they could send the soup. No. "I don't have the Authority. I asked for the manager. She said "I am the manager". The manager said come get your "free soup" or call Uber Eats and ask for a refund. It's not Uber's problem. Health code violations. Employee handling food with no hair covering, no gloves, and all sorts of facial piercings. Pointed out to manager who was wearing gloves that his employee next to him who was opening sandwiches to check what kind they were and breaking off pieces of bread to put into bags was not wearing any. He told her to put on gloves and she just ignored him. Bad enough we had to wait for them to thaw and then heat our Mac and cheese dishes since they didn't have any already thawing and then only 1/2 filled but then having all our food items handled by a rude employee wearing no gloves or hair covering was disgusting not to mention unsafe if someone has food allergies. read more

We left Myrtle Beach heading home and pulled in for breakfast. The young lady at the front never smiled, never said good morning, nothing at all. When I ask a question about having a certain bagel with the dish I was ordering all we got was a yes. Then when we got our food the bagel was burnt, the bacon was raw and the egg was cold. The sandwich my husband got was half the size of the picture. The half and half was empty and we waited and waited for the young lady to bring it back out. We ordered a pick two with soup and a sandwich. We got halfway down the street and realized there was no soup. When we went to get the soup they said they were out of it but didn't think to tell us and let us leave without it. They then tried to make us pay for a different soup although we had already payed for the missing one. Our order also consisted of another sandwich, ordered with American cheese. My first and absolute last time. Nearly $40 for 2 sandwiches ? I ordered the caprese (new and improved) sandwich and the turkey bravado sandwich to go. The turkey bravado was for my boyfriend and he said that it was pretty good. The caprese sandwich was for myself, I honestly had no idea what I had just bit into. I opened up the sandwich and it was slathered with a very generous amount of white spread on both sides of the ciabatta, I'm pretty sure it was mayonnaise, which I have never ever had on a caprese and it certainly was not on the description, one small circle of mozzarella cheese and 3 small slices of tomato. That was on half. And the same on the other half. An unreasonable amount of mayo on both sides, I small circle of mozzarella cheese and 3 small slices of tomato. It tasted terrible. Had to be thrown away because of how much mayo was on it and I love mayo... And after paying that much for 2 sandwiches to go, it is insulting. I am embarrassed for Panera. I am sure that if this is how irresponsible Panera is that my text will sit in someone's inbox and never get opened... so I will be making a huge deal out of this... keep the money, I'm not looking for a refund . Self service order and pick up at the counter- Myrtle Beach location. Worst food ever at a chain restaurant. Will never go back to Panera Bread! I had the tomato soup, that I normally love. It was full of croutons, I'm talking a cup full at least. And 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich. It was not a grilled cheese it was a piece of cheese toast. The cheese was toasted, black & dried out with cheese put cheese to cheese, no butter-not grilled just plan on the out side. Very dry and very tasteless. The I Wed coffee is in a decanter beside the tea. Very bitter. My husband had a rock hard sandwich he couldn't bite into. The Dillon was tasty but skimpy that he had to eat with his fork. Salad was good, small for the price. But he had another cold hard block of break he couldn't bite into. My husband couldn't resist the cinnamon roll. By the way if you want them warm you heat them in the lobby area in the microwave, like at a hotel. BUT there's always a request for tip. I wish I had taken pictures. Outside seating was great. I really like this location because the staff are super nice and very accommodating. If you ask a question you don't get the feeling you are nothing them. Especially when going through the drive thru..I ask what scones and muffins they have left. They are always so nice and provide me with just that. Oh, and they are efficient. Normally I love Panera but was so disappointed by this location. The employees giggled in the back and took their time to come take peoples orders. No napkins, tops for drinks, etc and one of the workers bragged and said "I restock when I feel like it" to another employee. All the tables were dirty and of course there weren't any napkins to clean it off. Most people talked about they were disappointed with the location and service and quickly ate and left. read more

I wanted to give a huge shout out to Jasmine. I come into Panera Bread relatively often to work on my laptop. Her genuine, warm service is an understatement. By the way I come in usually right after they open so it's very early. She always smiles, provides incredible service that any business must do to keep customers coming back. I'm big on service as I work in the service industry as well - and Jasmine is a great example of what it means to provide great service to her customers. This Panera is the absolute worst, and weirdly enough I continue to eat their bc I like the food when it's decent and it's close to my house. Between the inconsistency each week with their food and the absolute crap customer service there clearly isn't an owner or manager that gives a crap and it shows. On todays "what's wrong with my order" my wife and I ordered a wrap and oatmeal. The oatmeal was cold (simple enough fix) but for $5.00 it should be done right. Then my wrap I ordered was clearly left over from who knows how many days. 75% of the wrap was hard and crunchy and absolutely scorched. It's a shame bc I do like the food when it's done right, but it's sure frustrating when you buy overpriced food and it's not even consistent. read more

Panera has always been our first choice for dinner when we don't have time to cook. More convenient than a restaurant and better than fast food. However since we moved to Myrtle Beach in April we have been to Panera on Debo Dr. numerous times and have been extremely disapointed. On almost every occasion they have been out of various items. Multiple sandwiches, various soups, and many many times cheese for the french onion soup. I don't know if the manager doesn't know how to maintain an order schedule or if it is a sign of financial issues, but it is unacceptable. If you have seen my reviews on Google, I do not bash businesses, but try to find the positives. So I will say the staff has always been pleasent and helpful. The restaurant mostly clean but if many of the items on your menu are frequently unavailable that is a problem. Finally the quality has dropped considerably. I have always been a big fan of Panera, but lately I have been pretty disappointed. The sandwiches I have ordered have been so loosely wrapped they've fallen apart, the coffee or tea has only been filled about 3/4 of the way up, and just today the soufflé was given to me in a bag without a box around it and young lady at the window was not friendly. I have had to ask for them to look up my card every time. I leave this review only to be helpful to the store owner and manager. I will be taking a break from Panera for a while but will try again in the future. I hope in the future when I order 1 medium and 1 small tea, when I get them they won't have exactly the same amount of tea! read more

Love eating here. The restaurant is very clean. The people that take your order are very patient with you. On this occasion, my wife came in for just coffee and pastry. The coffee is very fresh, made every few hours or until the time it needed to be replenished. They carry four kinds ....regular, decaf plus two flavored.....plus hot tea. Cold beverages also. All are self served. The coffee was very good. My wife had a pecan pastry. It was loaded with pecans, then glazed over. It was reminiscent of a coffee Danish but round and thick. I had my favorite....a blueberry scone. Very flaky but more cookie like. I tasted my wife's. Both pastries were fresh and simply delicious. A good venue to go to, whether it's soup, sandwich or coffee and cake. read more
