First time visiting this location. Standard layout and decor. They may be under staffed since there wasn't anyone manning the register, so you had to use the kiosk. However, the kiosk was not designed to take the PB gift card in my Apple wallet, so just used my CC from my Apple Pay. Later a helpful employee showed me a work around to scan the gift card at the register (not at kiosk). The food is always great and really like their new or returning seasonal items on the menu. read more

At the risk of sounding rude, I feel the need to add that I don't typically write reviews for places, but this was one of the worst chain food restaurant experiences I've had. We came in after a red eye into newark for two bagels and a drink. Cashier was obviously new, but didn't ask for help when she didn't know what to do. They were obviously understaffed so I'll give them some grace for not being fully open at 7:30, (I work in food service, it happens.) Only one of them was wearing an apron, and it wasn't even the person making the food. Another worker had bracelets on her wrists, which is a known health code violation. The girl on register was chewing gum while setting up pastries. They were by no means busy, including online orders, but the order took much longer than it should have, and the woman making the food was constantly complaining about customers, orders, and other coworkers. In the end, we got two bagels thrown in a bag with no utensils to put the cream cheese on with, no napkins, and a bagel with two small slices of unripe avocado. read more

The workers here aren't very attentive and the people in the kitchen especially didn't seem to be putting much attention into anything. My sandwich came out so tiny, one slice of turkey, and barely any bacon. Not to mention how thin the bread was! Panera Bread has always been a reliable place for decent food, nice selection and friendly staff. Tonight, the United Methodist Church of Waterloo Village held a fundraiser at this location, so of course I happily supported their cause. Also, it was a great excuse to purchase cinnamon scones and some cookies! Their salads are my personal favorite, tonight tried the southwest Chile lime with chicken, nice! I've seen a few other reviews on this place, and they're pretty much exactly as they seem. Granted, I've had this ciabatta cheesesteak a handful of times and it usually isn't this rough. The workers who prepared the food were super disorganized, the one young lady, "Carmel" was so chaotic and she had knocked into the other employees a multitude of times. It took 36 minutes for the cheesesteak to be made. Overall the line was annoyingly long, and the expression from other customers were accurately similar to mine. i ordered on the kiosk thing to the left when you enter. it took almost 20 minutes for my order to be made & everyone else who ordered on the kiosks after me, was served before me. they were also calling out everyone's names, then my order was tossed on a pick up shelf, i assume because they realized i was forgotten about so they didn't want to interact. i had a strawberry poppyseed chicken salad. it was good i also had ordered an iced latte, with almond milk & no added bells or whistles - they were out of clear cups so it was in a hot coffee cup, that's fine. i get to my car & it has whipped cream in it. read more

Went through the drive through and they forgot to give us a full sandwich. Second time this has happened. Went back into the store and was completely ignored by the staff. The lady who took our order at the drive through even came by at one point and said she could not help us because she "only worked the drive through" but that someone would be by shortly. I watched the manager ignore me as I stood at the counter for a few more minutes before I walked over to the area where they were putting up orders and managed to get the attention of another employee. This Panera's is wonderful! Nyne, our cashier, was so very hardworking, polite, efficient and all with warm personality. The cooks that prepared our meals went above and beyond. It was one of the best salads I have eaten at Panera's. Expertly put together and with a generous portion....super fresh too. I had the pleasure to deal with the Manager, Sarah. It is good and consistent just like a Panera should be but it is not as crowded, or at least I haven't seen it as crowded as some of the other locations I've visited. I love most things that comes out of paneras kitchen from the smoothies to paninis to soups. There is a wider variety to chose from. They service at this particular location is fast and friendly Recent I had used their new mobile app ordering system to order and 1/2 and 1/2. Half soup and half sandwich. When I got it home I opened my dinner to see there was now turkey on the half of a turkey sandwich I order. So o called the store talked to the manager and what they did for me was beyond satisfying. The made me a whole sandwich fresh refunded the full amount of my purchase have me a few bags of chips and offered me a free bakery item. My mom likes to go to this Panera, or used to at least. Every time my mother goes, she orders a hot drink and asks for it to be in the mug, not a paper cup. 3 different times they provided it in a paper cup even though she asked otherwise. She goes up to clarify she wanted it in a mug, and they always taker her cup and pour the drink into a mug and give her that, ruining the whipped cream, or foam, and ruining the experience. It's happened 3 times in a row now. Needless to say, we won't be going back to that Panera bread. Stopped over here for dinner on the way home from a weekend getaway. I was really impressed with their customer service. They bring the food over to your table! Like other Panera's, there are self service kiosks to avoid the long lines. It is open during their renovation, which means, as of this writing, they are down to one temporary bathroom.
