Restaurant could have been more clean - noticed food and napkins on the floor in various places, dish return bin was overflowing. Placed a catering order for my sister's bridal shower per her request. Everyone seemed happy with it AND we had leftovers! Panera had a really great deal to feed everyone and they even included utensils and plates. This location is terrible. They get a ton of business from WVU dorms so they couldn't care less about the quality of their food. I just ordered two sandwiches and it took an hour to get two soggy, crushed things with some chicken involved (I think). The employees here are rude and go out of their way to ignore customers at the counter. I couldn't even ask about my order because no one was paying attention. This place is terrible. They had no bread in stock which is bad considering they are called Panera bread. The sandwich was made with hardly anything and even those ingredients were awful. No tomatoes in the sandwich because those were al out of stock. I asked for a cup for the coffee I ordered and the employee was rude. The food is really overpriced for what you are getting. Don't ever get their Marguerita pizza. We live 10 minutes from the one on Pattison Drive, the pizza was ice cold/nothing on it/we reheated it for 1 minute, and it was hard as a rock. The biggest waste of money and my Saturday dinner out. They didn't even have the soup I requested. For operating during Covid this location seems to be doing fine. After ordering through the app, I pulled into one of their three curbside spots available and waited no more that 3 minutes for my order to arrive (quote time was 5-10). The employee who brought out my food was friendly and the food, despite being a very complex order, was almost perfect (I forgot to check for my baguette before leaving and didn't bother to go back- so that's on me). They must have upped their game after some of these reviews, as my experience was fantastic. Yes, the baguettes are chewy and some might say "dry". Yes, the salads have lettuce in them. We always loved Panera. The food was always good. It's quick and not too expensive. But, I don't think I'll be going back to this location ever again. I brought in my two kids around 11:15am. It wasn't too crowded and I figured they had just switched over to lunch service. We ordered a steak and cheese panini, a bowl of chicken and rice soup, and a bowl of broccoli and cheddar soup. Neither soups were hot. They barely passed for warm. The steak panini is supposed to be warm and everything was except for the steak. The steak was cold. It was a half-hearted effort at most. I ordered the $1 pastry and was going to pick it up after we ate. At that point, the line to order was out of the door. They had two cashiers and one person working the bakery. The bakery worker made eye contact with me several times. I tried to ask if we needed to stand in line to get the pastry I had already paid for. She ignored me. So we left. And they ask for a tip BEFORE you get your meal? A tip for what? Did they notice that I didn't leave a tip and that's why our meals weren't great? It really made me wonder. When I have to get out of the house and get some real work done this is my go-to study spot. Great lighting, free wifi, and plenty of tables. It's kinda expensive, but It doesn't matter, I can just roll up in there, study, and leave without ordering anything, and its no big deal. I'd feel bad doing that at one of the single proprietary coffee shops, but not so much at a popular chain store like Panera. However, when I do eat there its either a asian sesame chicken salad or the pick-two with a soup and half a sandwich (I recommend the napa almond chicken salad sandwich). I definitely recommend it. It is a great place for single study, group study, and small group meetings as well. But if you want to do single study bring your headphones to avoid getting distracted by the conversations of others around you. read more

Here on Monday Memorial Day at 9am. No light, dark, or hazelnut coffee. Manager says it will take a while they are out because they can't make more than half of one of the big containers to avoid cost of throwing coffee out. Line is long and slow-not because they ate busy but because they are hand slicing all bagels. Guy at counter said bagel slicer has been broken for awhile it won't slice evenly. A bunch of regulars tell me this is normal but there is no other place in town for bagels and coffee except campus panera which is worse and has no parking. My everything bagel tasted stale. My butter was frozen rock hard. I come here a lot since moving to town six months ago as I love panera. My wife says no more she'll Make bagels and coffee at home.
