Having said that, the food is fantastic! I got the new steak and mozzarella sandwich they have for the summer and it's one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I don't think it's as good as it used to be so I don't go there as often. I think they should give you more soup than you get. One time I was there for breakfast my coffee was lukewarm. First impressions are everything. We were there this past weekend. A lady with glasses took our order. I mistakingly said "cinnamon roll" instead of "cinnamon bagel". My wife corrected me, I chuckled, and then said," yeah, sorry, a Cinnamon bagel." I guess that took too long because she rolled her eyes. My wife did end up adding a cinnamon roll and asked to have it warmed. The lady taking our order never smiled, not once. We also ordered hot items. I'm not sure if we were supposed to wait at the pay counter for the bagel and roll but when I realized, I walked back towards that area and she was coming out with a plate with those items. I said, "sorry, I just realized maybe I should've waited on these". She didn't respond at all, just handed me the plate. When I say down, we noticed the cinnamon roll wasn't warmed. I went back up and asked someone else if she could warm it and she told me they don't do that, but there's a self service microwave under the coffee. This place was absolutely fantastic and we loved coming here. We were on vacation here and stopped by for a quick lunch in between stops. This place was exactly what we were looking for! The food was well portioned and prepared quickly. We hardly had to wait at all before our food was ready. They were really polite and helped us understand what was in everything. (We can be a bit picky sometimes) The feel of the place is warm and welcoming. The booths are not designed for large families, but you can comfortably fit a group of 4. Three stars, all for the food quality. No stars for the service. Almost every Panera Bread I've visited has been a good experience except for this one. Twice now, on consecutive visits on separate days, the front counter service has been lackluster and disinterested in helping me. Two different people, two different days, same awful service. Both times, both people just stood by the register watching me as I stood looking at the pastries. No offer of assistance, no movement towards me to see if I even needed help. In fact, the first time, the young man just watched me for about a minute as three of us tried to make a decision, then as we walked to him, he turned around and started fussing with the bread rack until we called for him. The second time, a middle aged woman did nearly the same thing. She was about 10 feet away and just looked at me, so I walked to her and asked her for help. "I'd like a few pastries to go." This Panera is located next to Marc's and across from NTB. Although it has been busy on every occasion that I have been in service has been prompt friendly. I enjoy the food as well. I am particularly fond of the bread bowl soups specifically the clam chowder soup. read more

I stopped here because I had a sweet welcome reward to use. I haven't been here in years. The last time I was here I was not impressed. The place was dirty. This time it looked spotless! There is nice lighting and plenty of comfy seats to sit at. The hazelnut coffee is so good! And it's set out for your convenience! Free refills?! Say what?! Hells yes! Plenty of sugars honey , spices, half and half, and skim milk to add to your cup. The sweet treats look delicious. It was hard to choose what free treat I wanted. I went with the cranberry orange muffin. Muffins are my weakness. Th cookies looked really good with different pastries and scones. They have a nice food menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. I already had lunch so I did not try out. The prices seem a lil steep for a soup, salad, sandwich, or pasta. But eh it is a chain. I just love the coffee and the environment. Privacy and relaxation. The one downside, big downside..where is the charger stations? I don't see any unless I'm blind. Not convenient. My phone is dying and my laptop is half broken so it needs to stay on a charge to work. Ghetto I know. There is free WiFi!! One point added The staff is so pleasant and helpful. This is not even made correctly but we were willing to let it slide. Then the Bowl of chicken noodle Soup had a dead fly in it. For this, the shift supervisor Cara offered another bowl of soup, the batch the fly came from!? Seriously...or a refund of the bowl. I ended up with a refund for that one you pick 2. Another pick 2 had Grilled cheese was seriously lacking cheese and had some pieces of lettuce in it. The bowl of tomato soup did not come with the standard croutons in it. FOOD POISONING ALERT ! On 5-25-21 I purchased two strawberry chicken salads, one with chicken and one without. I ate one, my friend the other. We both got food poisoning from their produce. I contacted corporate and inquired about their corporate policy on food poisoning and was told they did not have a document to send me. Really? This company immediately went into CYA mode. Super friendly staff who were all smiles, stocked showcases, clean restrooms and not a long wait...and this was at the beginning of the lunch rush. Ordered Bistro French Onion Soup (nomnomnom) and an iced coffee to go. The wait wasn't long and the soup was hot and delicious. The iced coffee was smooth according to hubby. This is probably the best Panera that I have been to in regards to staff and cleanliness. 2nd terrible experience in a row. Came in at 4:45. Store was nearly empty and no one was behind the counter. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes with no one recognizing I was there and no assistance . All of the teenage help moped around and looked like zombies. We came here to eat while waiting for our car at NTB. Well its a nice location but I ordered a Pick 2 and got chicken noodle soup and a classic grilled cheese sandwich. The soup good and hot but the grilled cheese was basically two half pieces of bread with grill marks and a piece of cheese slapped between them. The bread was cold and the cheese not melted. Come on you cant call that a classic grilled cheese. Its a cheese sandwich cold. There was also a hair in both my husbands and my soup bowls. Pretty good food. Been here a few times before. Ordered the turkey, avocado and bacon sandwich with chips and a drink today. You get chucks of turkey, not slices, which I can take or leave. Order came up pretty quickly. Clean location with plenty of seating. Only downfall is, it's pretty expensive for the amount of food you get. I spent $10.95 for a sandwich, small bag of chips and a smedium drink, which I think is kinda absurd. I rarely eat here and I will keep up that trend. read more

Bad service! Check your food to make sure it's right before you leave. I ordered a bowel of chicken noodle soup to go and got a bowel of just chicken broth and some carrots. No chicken and no noodles! I had come in right before closing (so I was trying to be quick and easy) and I didn't think to check my soup before I left. Very disappointing. I tried to go back in but the doors where already locked. I called and all they offered was a free bowel next time I come in. Also they were out of baguettes which they didn't tell me. Panera in Mentor is HORRIBLE, don't waste your time or money walking in there. I entered and was immediately attended to for my order, I was at first, Impressed. However, that quickly went away. I ordered a smoothie. The girl had me step aside and wait. I patiently waited for her or anyone to make the smoothie but to no avail. Other employees kept asking to take my order and I repeatedly told them I was awaiting my order. After 10 minutes of waiting I re-approached the original girl and asked her about my smoothie. Her response was, "oh". That's it. I then went to another employee, showed my receipt and asked if anyone there could make my smoothie. This girl started to make it then got distracted. 5 more minutes later I asked another girl to make the smoothie in which she complied. Customers should no have to stand there and wait 20 minutes for a 60 second smoothie. I will never return to Panera due to their poor service. read more

Go to Starbucks..go anywhere but here. The last two times I was there I waited a minimum of ten minutes to order while the employees (manager included) stood there and goofed around and ignored me.
