Employees are poorly trained and screw up your. Two nights this week, we tried to get "Pick 2" deal with 2 classics... 1/2 Greek salad and 1/2 turkey and cheddar sandwich. They should be $4.99 each. The first time, the employee gave us a full size salad (and charged us for it) and actually argued trying to say they don't have that deal pick 2 for $4.99. So I went home and looked it up and the deal is still on. Figured it was just their mistake and they "heard" the wrong size salad. The second time 1/2 a salad was given, but charged for the full sized salad... They also out the 1/2 turkey and cheddar on tomato basil bread instead of the sourdough default and never bothered to mention it. I understand sometimes they run out, but they should at least ASK the customer if they are okay with the alternative bread. Seriously, please train your employees better. read more

Stopped in off I-87 south towards Albany saw exit sign with Panera Bread my lunch special place during my travels for soup and sandwich. It was sunny day and around noon time so place was basically slow but got busy after I had picked up my order. Manager on duty was very cordial and changed my baguette to chips and get me a cup for water . Very clean and comfortable seating area. Sandwich was prepared with gear care adding many veggies ingredients . Soup was Corn with peppers/ potatoes tomatoes diced to get crunchy feeling . A special I guess during summer . Second variety for vegetarians after Tomato !! Broccoli soup had chicken broth I think !! Anything with green leaf label on ordering board lets ordering person know vegetarian .. FYI corn . Soup has all ingredients which make it filling. read more

People at home are sick and you need soup....what's your go to option? Panera bread!! Literally over the last week or 2, I tried 4 different soups and each of them were yummy. If you have no prefernce and like the tomato soup or chicken soup with wild rice, I would recommend the value meal as they come with a salad or sandwich and in 2022, they only cost you $6.99. (It was $5.99 in either 2021 or 2020 when they launched it at a few locations). I would definitely recommend panera instead of other fast food chains. I NEED TO REMIND MY SELF TO POST A PICTURE AND I FORGET AS ALL MY ORDETS ARE RAPID PICK UP. In addition last 2 times I bought the value meal instead of the soup alone and I gave my son the brown bag to go finish his soup and leave the sandwich after taking a bite ( he only wanted the soup), he takes the first bite and end up liking it and finishes up the whole sandwich!! read more

Major disappointment! I was excited when I saw a Panera right near my hotel and ran in to grab a quick dinner, really wish I hadn't gone to this location! I ordered a Mediterranean warm bowl, one of the main ingredients (as shown in image from their website) was arugula, I had maybe 5 pieces of arugula.. nothing like the picture on the website. I thought maybe it was just the Panera locations when I lived in Virginia but apparently it's everywhere. If you have any food allergies, do not eat here. I stopped in on Easter to grab a salad to go. There was one other person picking up an order and 2 people eating. So it was not crowded at all. I made it clear to the person who took my order that I had a nut and tomato allergy. It was marked on the receipt. When I got my salad, I looked at it through the container and it seemed ok. When I got home and took a bite, there were nuts underneath the dried apples, which had made it difficult/impossible to see them without digging through the whole salad. My receipt didn't have the usual check marks and initials from a second person like I've seen done at other Panera for food allergy orders. This is a serious and for some, life threatening situation. Luckily, I did not have the pecan in my mouth long enough to trigger anaphylaxis. Maybe you should consider putting the nuts in separate small bags so even if the food prep staff aren't paying attention, those with food allergies can still eat safely. read more

This is a newerish Panera. It's big and is just off of one of the many screwy circles they have over there off exit 10 in Malta. I'm not a fan of the parking setup or the traffic pattern at this Panera at all or those damn traffic circles. Anywho, the building itself is different from your run of the mill Panera location and I likes it. Lots of kiosks inside that nobody uses of course. The help inside was helpful and they filled my bagel and treat order in a jif. Tip jars a plenty so I did indeed float them a wee bit extree as it was deserved. If you like Panera, this one will do the job..large inside with lots of seating and they have a drive thru too. Bakers dozen bagels on Tuesdays are $6.99. Ask them to slice them and they will no problemo. They'll even separate the everything bagels from the rest... read more

We've only ordered from here twice. Twice, we've been missing integral (and expensive) parts of our order. Luckily, we checked before leaving the parking lot- we hopped back in the line of cars snd patiently waited. We're still not home at 8:25- our order was slated for 7:58. I guess fine, but the remainder of our food has certainly suffered. Not great for $40+ worth of soup/salad. Twice, we've witnessed lack of proper sanitizing and handling procedures within the establishment in plain view of the drive-thru window. Tonight, employees were standing so close that they were touching- as if telling secrets. They then were passing a phone back-and-forth while viewing something. Having fun at work is fine- just can't forget the basics of ServSafe and similar food service procedures. Panera is okay. I think they are very expensive for what you get. Portions are small. At most restaurants, I take home at least a 1/3 if not 1/2 my food. Here, I clean my plate and am usually still hungry. Maybe that's how hey get you. Lol. Hoping you'll then go buy some baked goods to fill up. Who knows. That said I love their tomato basil bread and occasionally stop to get a loaf for home. Thanks to them, I also fell in love with Peppadew peppers. Yum! read more

Quality at Panera seems to be going up and I love. Had the breakfast soufflé and the ham and cheese was wonderfully fluffy flaky and fabulously delicious. Now we were hungry so we got a strawberry banana smoothie with Greek yogurt. Again delicious with a great balance of fresh flavor. And I tried the chai latte iced for the first time and have to say it was one of the most flavorful chai lattes I have ever had spicy zingy and perfectly blended. A new favorite. My only issue is the redemption of a gift was not the easiest thing when we added it to the app. read more

Zero stars. This Panera location just lost my family's business. Several times we have been shorted food in our drive through orders. I'm sick of it. The staff seems to lack of training competent employees. Yesterday I was shorted an 11 dollar sandwich. I didn't have time to drive all the way back. I am Happy to say this is the last time I will eat at Panera Bread ! I have gift cards that I will donate . This location is pretty new . Decor is nice . Food is mediocre at best which is not this particular location issue it's chain wide . Salad slopped together, tomato looked like mini watermelon rinds no meat to them , soup carrot ginger is not good in any way ! My spoon was dirty I asked for a new one and when I brought it it to exchange for a plastic one the gentleman whom helped me was not surprised. Family and i stopped through the drive thru to get some dinner while we are road tripping, ordered 2 soups and 2 mac&cheeses, as well as our sandwiches, which we got no silverware or napkins to go with. My sandwich, the smoky buffalo chicken melt, I had ordered no red onions on it as well as extra buffalo, but got the red onions and only a little bit of Buffalo sauce. We also did not get any of our sides, we should have had 4 baguette sides. Person at the window was friendly, but did not ask if we had a panera number. As a fellow panera worker, i understand when you are in the middle of a rush it is hard to stay on task and get to everything quickly and perfectly. I can dismiss my sandwich, and I have forgotten SOME silverware such as a knife or fork in some orders, but forgetting all sides & silverware & napkins is unacceptable. Fortunately, everything tastes good, now that I've picked the onions off my sandwich it is delicious as well, though it would be easier to eat if we had silverware. read more

I only give this review for the shit attitude I received by the older fat lady working the register on July 12th at 10:30 AM. She was so miserable. I shortened my order just to get away from her. Why the hell would they put her at the register to be the "face" of the business. She should be in the back cleaning dishes or something far from the customers. Glad I stopped in here to get some great vegetarian healthy food. I really like the Kiosk but as usual I am always apprehensive about other peoples fingers and germs being all over them...you wait that will be the next germ phobia item. How am I supposed to complain about you guys getting rid of the chocolate pastry for the "chocolate croissant" which is the messiest food I've ever encountered, with chocolate syrup all over and the experience ending with half of the croissant as crumbs on my plate. I need a spoon to finish it. Why would you change something so good as the chocolate pastry? Why would you do this to your customers? I am a regular customer of this Panera location, eating here about 4-5x a week during the school year. When this location was new I had numerous problems with it, but since then the team there has really tightened up their work. Service, handicap access, and drive thru accuracy are all spot on now. While the menu is no different than any other Panera, the drive through, quiet, and lower error rate make me favor this one over the Clifton Park location. read more

Worst Panera experience we've had. The self ordering machine was down and there wasn't anyone at the counter. We weren't greeted and customer service was not good. We told the cashier that the self order machine wasn't working and she said yeah it's been down for a few days. A little note over the machine would have been nice and would have saved time and frustration. All of the tables open (majority of the tables) were all dirty which was annoying when you notice the employees were all talking to each other in front of the food pick up counter. The food was good though and it's a great location, so I hope they figure it out soon. read more

A pretty reasonable panera. The staff was courteous and helpful, the tables were clean and accessible, and the decor was pleasant. I made a pit-stop here while on a date (twice), and felt very comfortable sitting and chatting both times. Of course, this IS a panera, so expect all the things that come with that: you order at the counter, and return your tray when done, and the prices are a little high for a restaurant of that variety. So we placed an on line order when I arrived order came right up on counter and was being double checked and was placed in the order ready area. When I arrived at home (20 minute drive) I discovered my desert was not in the bag but was checked off so I call the store so they could credit my cc only to be told I would have to bring my receipt back because it should have been marked by the order double checker that they were out of chocolate chip cookies which was my desert choice it was only marked with a check like all of the other items on the receipt. I could not wait until tomorrow I had to bring it back then if I wanted my cc credited? I had to settle for some coupons that would be mailed or drive another 20 or suck it up! They have no problem taking my cc number before they will process any on line order! They have kiosk ordering that I have used a couple times and even changed up toppings, etc. and the orders came out correct. They are not always the fastest at managing trash and dirty dishes from the garbage points. Many times people will just leave the stuff on the tables limiting immediate seating options. Cost 3/5. Decently priced unless you begin changing things up. Bacon add on is $1, Avocado up charge is $1, etc. Cost can sneak up on you fast. 1/2 Panini, bowl of soup, chips and 2 waters was $17+ Atmosphere 3/5. Looks and acts just like a sandwich place. Nothing spectacular, nothing out of place. Palate 5/5. I really love their sandwiches and soups. Definitely the bar setter to competitors like Schlotzsky's, Jason's, Quiznos, etc. Everything Else 4/5. Conveniently located close to the hotel I stay at so that's a real plus. Not very impressed with the service and food here I have received the past few times I've been to this specific Panera Bread restaurant!! Don't get me wrong, the food is usually very good. And the employees seem to always be helpful and very accommodating! But in the last three times that I've been here...well, it's not the same! First of all, the quantity of food you get for the money does not add up. I ordered two half salads, it looked as if I ordered two quarter salads! Kinda ridiculous as to what Panera's half salad is these days! One definitely does not get their money's worth here.. My husband and I were NOT impressed! And when I got the attention of the Manager! I have never had an issue with Panera before until I ordered rapid pickup today. My sandwich was poorly made with almost a full salad worth of lettuce simply falling off the bread and bits of cheese and tomato stuck to the outside of the bread. I arrived early and my order was not complete but somehow my sandwich was incredibly soggy probably from the excessive toppings. My corn chowder contained pieces of almost black corn. The only thing that was good was my frozen strawberry lemonade. I love Panera and am hoping this is just a fluke at this one location. read more

Was not sure how the drive through was going to be, but I went on the earlier side of typical lunch hours and there wasn't a line. The menu is laid out pretty nicely, but it's probably best to know what you want ahead of time since this isn't really fast food as fast as other chains. Once I paid, I waited just a few minutes for my order to come out - again, longer than if you were ordering a burger somewhere else, but it felt quicker than if I were waiting inside. I ordered the tuna sandwich and they really piled the tuna and veggies on. Loved it. Only complaint - use smaller and fewer bags! I ordered one sandwich, which came with chips, and the sandwich was in a very large paper bag and the chips were in their own small paper bag within the larger one.
