I ordered food online today for online pickup at 6:01. Online it said the order would be ready at 6:11. I waited in the parking lot from 6:05 until 6:30 before getting my food. At least 15 cars made it through the drive thru and 2 other cars pulled up and got their food and left before I got mine. I ordered 2 pick 2s. The grilled cheese isn't toasted on the outside, and the cheese on the inside is completely burnt and not even melted together. It looks like they put cheese on 2 pieces of bread and microwaved it then slapped them together. I can literally pull the 2 pieces apart, they aren't melted together or even melty at all. Just hard and burnt. My Cuban sandwich only has meat in the very center. Literally half the bread has no meat at all, I could've eaten half the sandwich before I got a bite with meat in it. There's also practically no sauce so it's just a crusty dry roll with literally no filling. We also ordered 2 bags of chips for our sides and they gave us rolls instead. I have pictures of every item I just described showing how horribly they were prepared. Neither of us ate our sandwiches. We didn't get our chips so couldn't enjoy those either. Theres literally no option for feedback when ordering curbside pickup. I've tried calling the store and nobody answers. I've even tried submitting this feedback 4 separate times to Panera and keep being told to try again later. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a Panera location. read more

Came in this morning at 10:30. Place was empty. When we made mention of it, the kid behind the counter said, "yeah, we're not really busy on sat morning, so we've been standing around for the last 4 hrs." That was apparent as there no hot coffee AT ALL. The "hot water" looked like lightly brewed weak coffee. Trays from who knows when still stacked on the trash deposit. I'm glad we ordered just a bagel. No one is cleaning a thing, the place is dirty and the three people that came in after us left with out even ordering because "they were out" of the items. The freshly brewed coffee was so full of grounds we couldn't even drink it. The manager or whomever she was didn't seem to care too much as she was just "leanin" like the rest. Came here yesterday And the line was almost out the door at noon. I ordered at the kiosk rather than waiting for a person at the counter. It was fast, easy and I had my food in under 10 minutes. I had a full chicken Caesar salad and a danish with water. It came to $14 which is a lot, but once in a while is ok. The salad was great and wasn't drenched in dressing. It wasn't dry either- just right. Nice work guys! You were slammed and handled it nicely! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is I noticed how long it took the table beside me to get their food- well over half an hour! read more

Very disappointed in their service. We had a group of clients waiting for an hour for their lunch. We received one call prior to the delivery indicating they were running a little late. At that point they were already 15 minutes late. Is a little late an hour? Doesn't seem like they cared one way or the other if they have our business. When the delivery finally arrived the delivery person had excuses, one right after the other. And to top it off she added some dessert, that was way too small to share with the group, that she thought would appease us for the extremely late delivery. I've gone multiple times since it's opened & have had nothing but impeccable food and service. I stay with my usuals of Mac & cheese, ceaser salad, or French onion soup. This is, unfortunately, the worst Panera I have been to. Their food and service is really lacking and not up to normal Panera Bread standards. Every other Panera I've been to has a Service Recovery program and they try to make each visit the best it can be, even when there are issues, but not this one. We came in at 8:30am to the lunch menu still being up, all the coffee was almost gone, and they forgot to bring out our bagels so I went and grabbed them out of the window myself after 15 minutes. The light roast coffee was made improperly and tasted like water, and they didn't do anything to try and recover our visit! They never came to our table once. Come on Lubbock, let's raise our standards a little bit! This could be one of the best places for a cup of coffee on this side of town. People would come for the atmosphere and good music choices if they would put just a little more effort into the food and service. It's just so disappointing! read more

One of the worst meals in our lives! Went last night to grab a bite to eat. Ordered a soup and 1/2 a sandwich for my husband and a salad and 1/2 a sandwich for me. They made a mistake setting it is take out , which was not. At pick up the manager heard our comment and we were told to wait for it to be corrected. While waiting, clients were reporting mistakes after mistakes. About 10 minutes later I was given a big brown bag. I said we do not have takeout this is why i waited so long, for the order to be corrected. The young man looked dazed and confused. It was late we were hungry so I said: that's OK, we take it as is , we just need plates. The young men poured the soup in a bowl. No plates for the sandwich. When to the table and took out the sandwitches from the bag. They felt very cold so I went to ask them if they can put them in the toaster for a minute. They said they could not. I should use the microwave. I'm not going out to eat to have either a cold sandwich or heated up in a microwave so I said no. They said they could not put it on the panini toaster because they would have to redo it. Frankly, being their mistake, they should have offered right away to do it, without me asking. I was stunned at the complete lack of common customer courtesy. I gave up. Back at the table I opened the sandwich and the one for my husband was the wrong one. I qenr back to say wrong sandwich. They tell me to wait. By now it was getting ridiculous. I received the sandwich for my husband. It looked suspiciously thin. Opening it up I noticed that it had no cheese. We had ordered Caprese, which is tomato, mozzarella and pesto sauce. I went back again asking to speak with the manager. She comes and I tell her the sandwich has no cheese. She points to me to a discolored spot in the bread and says that was the cheese, but melted in the bread. I looked at her in disbelief. Even without everything else that happened before, this in itself is like a parallel reality. After recovering from the shock I asked her if she was joking. That I have eaten many times caprese and it has a visible slice of mozzarella. Even in the picture posted there you can see it and it's not an open sandwich. She said they cannot make their sandwiches to look like in the picture. Absolutely stunned with the whole experience , I went to the table took pictures of everything, and was about to leave when the manager came back and offered to make that sandwich again. No apologies whatsoever. She brought the sandwich with big chunks of cheese. We ate our sandwiches at the table, on the brown bags, like we were in a train station. Mine was cold and horrible. I attempted to eat the salad from the plastic container, but just gave up. This was one of the worst meals in our life and one of the worst experiences also! I cannot believe that some professionals would so nonchalantly repeatedly mistreat their customers. The ones before me were extremely frustrated with the repeated mistakes on their order, too. It seems that the thought of losing clients is not something that concerns the management of this eatery whatsoever. We have eaten at Panera in different cities and always enjoyed it. We ate at the one in our town once and it was nice. We are never stepping foot in there again and advising all our friends against it, also! read more

The last time we went to this Panera, a month or so ago, the experience was awesome! 5 stars for sure! I definitely cannot say the same about our experience today. When we pulled up to the drive through to order the woman on the speaker greeted us by saying "welcome to (some restaurant that was not Panera)" We had to repeat our order several times. And it was still incorrect. They gave us the wrong sandwich, with several of the ingredients still frozen, the soup we ordered was missing it's garnish, the prickly pear hibiscus Fresca was out of syrup making it undrinkable, and the smoothie was full of chunky unblended ice. And to top it all off it was $30 to not eat half of it. I don't ever leave reviews like this, but I just had to let someone know the inconsistency in this location. I'm very disappointed. read more

Worst Panera (or restaurant) ever. I have given this place multiple opportunities to redeem itself (COVID is NOT the issue here). The employees are lazy and high. I don't think they have management on site. I will not order from this location again. Even if they pay me. Every. Time. I. Go. There has been an issue. Today, I placed an online order and guess why, when I arrived I pressed the "im here" and waiting 10minutes. Nothing. So I call in to the store (I didn't have a mask so couldn't go inside). No one picked up after I pressed the prompt to speak to someone at the store! So I went through drive through. NO ONE ANSWERED THE DRIVE THROUGH. I had to pull up to the window and sit for several minutes before someone finally came over. And then told me they didn't have the coffee I ordered, so I ordered something else. When I got home, the large Mac and cheese I got was only half full and it tasted off. The picture is before I ever touched it!!! If it was a one off that would be fine. I love Panera. This was my first and last experience here at Panera bread! I ordered Tortellini Chicken Alfredo, I got my food. I didn't get silverware only a butter knife. I go back to the lady at the pick up window. I asked for silverware, she yells at me twice with her with response of "what", I said silverware and she yells and said "what kind!" I said a fork, then I go to my table and check my food and it's cold. I feel the pasta and it's frozen. I go back and ask her if my pasta is suppose to be cold and she yelled at me again "what". I said is my pasta supposed to be cold. She said "no!" I said well mine is ice cold. She took my plate and didn't even apologize and yelled out to the workers that she needed another plate. I then had to knock on the window because she wouldn't come back to the window so I could tell her she forgot our dessert. I'm starting this review as I'm sitting in a booth here waiting for my food. There are 2 people in our party, and our bill was $33...extremely high as expected since I know they're quite pricey here. After ordering we couldn't find a clean table. Due to COVID half the tables are closed, a quarter of them had people, and a quarter were dirty. I had to search for someone to clean a table for us and finally had to ask 2 different people before someone came. After waiting for our food for 25 minutes according to the order time on the receipt, I went to the window to ask about it. There were 2 employees standing visiting, and when I asked them they said they were super busy and still working on it. Really? At 2:15pm on a Friday afternoon?? And you had time to stand around visiting?? As of right now, we've been waiting 38 minutes and still have no food. I'm on my lunch hour from work, and I'm not gonna have enough time to eat my food much less enjoy my food that I just spent a fortune on. Unfortunately this isn't the first time we've had trouble here. Fortunately, I've now learned my lesson and will absolutely never return to a Panera Bread restaurant. She asked if we wanted something else, but by then we had had enough of this place. We should have asked for our money back. No we will never go back as the mgr must be from somewhere else that feels it's ok to just minimize folks in west Texas. my roommate went to panera today to get a breakfast sandwich and some soup for myself. she used the drive thru and asked if she could get the sandwich on ciabatta which the employee said they had one ciabatta left so it worked out perfectly. after getting the food she checked and realized they put it on the normal bread instead of the ciabatta. she went through the drive thru again to get it fixed. instead of being polite and getting it on the right bread, the drive thru employee proceeded to tell my roommate that she was "wasting food". once my roommate got the correct sandwich she also threw in "maybe you can give that other sandwich to a homeless person so it doesn't go to waste". i don't know in what world it's okay to talk to people like that in a professional setting especially when it was the employee's mistake in the first place. i work in the food industry and would never accuse someone of "wasting food" or just being nasty in general. i've had multiple issues with this store and this is the cherry on top. will not be returning, customer service is absolutely deplorable. read more

This is the 3rd Time in a row that we have Gone and the order has been wrong and or cold. This time the wait was over 20 minutes and when we got our food the Thai chopped chicken salad which I've been getting for years, was made with romaine Caesar salad and the only thing that made it taste similar to the Thai chopped salad was the dressing and chicken. It was sad. The kids grilled cheese was cold and hard as a rock. And my chicken avacodo sandwich had barely any chicken & no avacodo or other toppings. The girl was kind about having the sandwiches remade but when the chicken avacodo sandwich was remade the bread was mushy and soggy & fell apart.. I had to turn it over because the bread was so wet it couldn't be eaten like a sandwich. Everything was falling out. My friend and I went here on our lunch hour 09/06/2018 we used the kiosk to order, after 20 minutes I looked around the dining area and realized that there were quite a few people waiting for their food, after 45 minutes I noticed a couple with their children that had ordered just before us did not have their food either and were getting up to leave. I had to ask management where our food was and was told that the kiosk's were down. I've never had such a bad order mess up until tonight. First, they didn't have anymore side bread so my friend asked to replace it with a cookie. They end up charging us more for a cookie when even the sign on the menu says "add a pastry item for 99 cents" then we get to the window and notice we were charged 2.60 for a cookie and mention it to the employee and she grabs the manager who doesn't know how to give a refund (because he was new) when I personally think any employee should at least know that. Then I start checking the bags and realize we're missing half of what we ordered and they give us the wrong size drinks and ask us to pull up and park and by then we just laughed about it until we realized half the order was also missing so we decided to go inside and ask for the manager again and let him know we were still missing half the order and while he starts to give off an attitude another employee that wasn't working the window walks up with the whole other half of our order and says they were trying to find it. So we grab it as the manager starts to look frustrated when one of the first things a manager and regular employee should know how to do is give a refund, also know how to check the order and make sure everything is correct. Making a mistake with one item in the order is one thing but messing up a number of times is not okay. Worst customer service. Decided to try 1st time since my kids had been there before. Kids said one thing 2 of them usually do is split a bread bowl soup. My kids noted there was virtually NO soup in their bowl (I should have taken a pic) compared to before & asked if I would go up & ask for a little more.
