After not getting my food for 20 minutes I went up and asked to make sure that the order was in and they didn't know what the order was so I had to tell them. 40 minutes later, I finally get my food after they had to ask again what my order was for another five times. One of the worst Panera experiences ever. While we were ordering, we were repeatedly told, "We're out of ______." They were out of so many things. I finally had to ask, "What DO you have?" Then when I asked for a to-go box, I was told, "We don't have to-go boxes." I just saw a lady pick up a big to-go order, so I was confused. I asked for a flat-bread box, and she gave me one. Panera is as Panera does. Newer location in the same area as several other restaurants and retailers. Food is decent, same menu and options at any standard Panera. Service was quick and friendly. The only difference that I noticed was that I was not offered a choice of chips, apple or baguette. They simply chose baguette based on my 'you pick 2' combo with soup and sandwich. Food was okay. Parking seems to be a little tricky around here due to the peak times that LA Fitness goers tend to frequent the gym. I anticipate that, eventually, parking spots will need to be designated for specific businesses at all times. read more

This Panera is starting to be as dirty and nasty-smelling as the one on Kanis Road. What the hell. It smells like someone peed all over all the seats. The couple ahead of me's total was $28.99. That is ridiculous. It has somehow become $10 here for a sandwich. The only veggie option is a grilled cheese, if you don't want their uninspired Mediterranean veggie. More often than not it smells like weed around the area where the employees are. The manager Adriana wipes her nose all over her hands before coming up to berate customers, after which she texts for a while, then yells "anybody got any gum?!!" Couldn't have felt more uncomfortable at the University Panera Bread. Panera typically has a great atmosphere for any age. I see families here after church services on Sundays, I see children enjoying macaroni and cheese, and I see adults working on their laptops. The menu has something for everyone and the soups, sandwiches, and salads are enjoyable. While the entire menu could easily be made at home, it is nice to go to Panera and sit and enjoy the food. As a student, I have typically enjoyed Panera Bread. They have coffee and pastries, and it has been a good place for me to study. On my last visit, I checked out at the cash register and bought a cinnamon roll. The worker was very smiley and I thanked him and went to go work on homework. The worker, about 15 minutes later, came over to where I was sitting (with one of my friends) and sat at the table right next to us. There was no one else in this area of the restaurant and many other tables were available. The worker turned to me and said "if you were a vegetable, you would be a 'cute-cumber'". I ignored him. A few minutes later, the worker tells me "You are a thief." I said "A thief?" And the worker says "Because you stole my heart." I decided to wrap what I was doing and leave. I did not want a random boy to hit on me when I needed to get school work done. I tell my friend that I am about to leave, and the worker, upon hearing this, starts packing up his backpack. He then exits the restaurant. I decide to stay to continue doing my school work. A few minutes later, I get up to go to the restroom and I see the worker standing by the register. He makes eye contact with me and I go use the restroom. When I come back to my table, he is sitting at the table next to us again. He turns to me and says "it is too cold outside". I pack up my stuff and am preparing to leave when he gets up and leaves the restaurant again. My friend and I leave and I call the restaurant and ask to speak to the manager. I explain the situation to the manager and tell him I felt uncomfortable with the staff member lurking around and hitting on me. The manager said "I am sorry that happened". The manager did not seem to be upset about the situation and did not show any concern. HORRIBLE experience. No one should EVER feel uncomfortable because of a staff member lurking around and hitting on girls. read more

I have been avoiding dining here because of complaints about inappropriate behavior from employees towards young females. However, I was in the area and wanted a quick bite. Clearly staffing issues have not been resolved because no one greeted us or offered to help us with our order-- so much so that I was charged for an out-of-stock item, and when I finally found someone to help me, I was told my only option was an item of lesser value. In addition, one of the the ingredients for my sandwich was out of stock, and I was not given a free substitution of cheese for my sandwich. I would not recommend this Panera as the manager is one of the rudest and obnoxious women I have ever encountered. My husband and I placed an order for 2 sandwiches. The only thing we stresses was that they be cut in 1/2. I waited watching patrons that came in after us get their order. I also watched the manager make jesters at a young man that picked up his order once he turned around. That was not professional in my mind. I waited 20 min to get our order and it was not correct. They only cut one of the sandwiches in half. I explained the they were both to be cut in half , her response it was not on the order. I said that's not my problem that I asked for it. So I have ordered from here probably five times, and they have done my order wrong three out of the five times. I've had luke warm pasta, uncooked cookies and items missing from my sandwich, extra meat, seasoning, condiments etc. I want to give them another chance, but it's not that hard I'll be going to the other location for awhile. They don't have good customer resolution either. You spend almost $20 on a sandwich and a cookie, and you think they'd want you to keep coming back. I love Panera bread. I know, I know - it's a chain. But my "guilty" pleasure is chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl. I take it to one of the window tables and take my sweet time letting that delicious broth soak right through that fresh-baked sourdough bread bowl! Just don't count the calories ;) Pro-tip: if you're getting a bread bowl, ask them to swap out the baguette side that usually comes with soup. My personal choice of replacement side is the apple. When it's in season and I'm really, really hungry, sometimes I'll swap that chicken noodle for the turkey chili, but man that's filling! This particular location is similar to others in most ways - it's spacious, it's comfortable, great lighting, and it's the corner shop on the row, so it has the best lighting and windows of all the lunch spots nearby. Friendly service, and the table service is a nice plus. Some locations don't offer that. read more

Every time I go to this Panera the employees are always so rude. Twice I've gone in when the managers were pissed off and acting really stressed out and generally rude. The smoothies are horrible, I've received burnt bagels, they put chicken on my friends sandwich when he asked them not to (he's a vegetarian). This Panera used to be fairly decent. I was excited when they opened because they are close to me and I like some of their options much better than "general" fast food places. However, a month or more back they changed general managers. Now, they should simply put a sign out front that says "this is what we are out of today". Numerous visits in the evening and they have been out of everything I've tried to order. Frankly, the employees (many of whom recognize me) have always been very friendly - but the person ordering food needs additional training. Last night, after declining the offer of chips or an apple with my soup & salad - since they were out of baguettes (this has been consistent for a month now!) - a cook notified the cashier they were out of the soup I ordered. So I simply told them to cancel my order and went & got my soup elsewhere. Soup & salad is something I like to order quite a bit. There have been some very disappointing visits here - (like ordering a greek salad three times in a row and they forget the feta cheese every time). Several orders placed online - were wrong when I picked them up. I will try another Panera or simply not eat here anymore. When they opened the first one in Little Rock up on Cantrell, I must say it was the worst Panera I had ever been to and I didn't go back until the one on University opened. Maybe it's a franchise? The floor plan makes no sense starting with a cramped entrance and POS. The servers I dealt with are dimwits. My overcooked pasta came out cold. I took it back to the counter to get it heated or replaced. The numbskull who took it back to the kitchen left me hanging with no acknowledgement. When a manager finally came around to help she was nice and apologetic. She took over and brought me a new dish.
