It might have been good but GrubHub's delivery was so long and left in the wrong place that the food never really had a chance.

Tried for the first time today. Won't be returning. meal took too long to come out for mediocre food. Kids wouldn't finish their Mac & cheese (what?!) or their fruit cup (basically just grapes), but my son said the coleslaw was very good. Chicken in the sandwiches was dry and lacked flavor (tried both the Chicken Pesto and the Newk's Q). Ordered the Black & Bleu salad because the picture looked delicious. Returned it (in exchange for a sandwich ). First, the salad was DRENCHED in dressing. And not Blue Cheese like the description - it was ranch - my husband confirmed it too. Second, the steak was well done and cut so poorly it was one big mass of meat. Third, after I re-read the description, I don't think there was any pecans and there definitely weren't the amount of tomatoes, onions or cheese bits in it like there is on the picture. #advertisingfail I should've taken a picture before returning it. It was greens drenched in white and not the healthy looking salad I was hoping for. Service was okay. The lady taking the salad back acted pretty inconvenienced taking the salad and bringing out a new dish but they did well enough getting a new plate out (Newk's Q). Thanks but no thanks. read more

Before the pandemic, I ate here frequently and loved it. I even did curbside a few times afterwords. Yesterday, I decided to eat in for supper. There was a gentleman waiting to order when I walked in. We waited and waited but there was no one at the register. He said he'd been standing there for around 15 minutes. I politely called out to some employees cutting up by the kitchen. One came over and said he'd just been up to see if we needed anything. The other customer said he wanted to order. The employee walked away! Both of us waited a few more minutes discussing how good the place used to be. It was both of our first inside visit back. We finally left. Whenever you are craving pizza but you don't want pizza. You come to Newk's and order their pizza because I don't feel so bad after eating my favorite five cheese dish. I usually rave about Newk's locations to my friends and especially about their Mediterranean pizza, but not today. The cashier put my order in wrong because she was not paying attention and if I had not caught it she would not have corrected it. Then my pizza was in sorry shape when it arrived, with the toppings mostly in the middle of one piece and the crust not even warm. One slice was just the crust from Halfway up without even cheese on it. It was like eating a dry pita. It was not even like they were swamped with lunch crowd or I could have cut them a little slack. Food is usually always good. We ended up with a very hateful front end person. Do not ask for anything on the Round table because it makes the worker so mad. The last few times we have been here the front end workers were so hateful. Covid is pretty much over now. Will you not bring your Round table back out so that customers can get what they want? I eat here more often than I should. The service upon entering is always friendly; in fact, everyone that works there recognizes me when I walk in! They try to greet everyone and they are patient with giving you time to look over the menu on the wall. Very relaxed environment, although be warned: it is VERY cold inside. I recommend bringing a jacket or eating in the outside area. I typically get the Newk's Q sandwich with regular BBQ sauce and no bacon. It typically comes with white BBQ sauce but I like my regular sauce. The prices are good for what you get, and the food is also good. Everything is made fresh, and being able to see into the kitchen lets me see everything they are doing. Food typically arrives in about 10 minutes give or take, depending on what you order and if you have more people with you. Overall, great place for lunch or dinner. I recommend this Newk's as a good family or solo eating place. read more

Nice dining area. We absolutely loved the bottomless green tea. I had the Newk's salad with sherry vinaigrette. I enjoyed the salad, but it had far too much dressing! To me, the point of a salad is for health and nutrition. Loads of calories and sugar in the salad dressing likely defeats the purpose. I would have preferred to be offered the dressing on the side. I was not. This was my first experience with Newks. I am unsure if the nutritional values are available. Since this restaurant is seen as a healthier option, I would think that the nutritional values would be more apparently available. Like maybe on the wall menu? The employee at the register was helpful in explaining the menu. I wish all of the salads were available in half salads! Good tasting food, though a bit pricey. $13.00 for a salad and a tea. Love the buffet with croutons, pickles, garlic, peppers, and other nice condiments. A package of the little breadsticks are only 50 calories and are complimentary. read more

Used to frequent this location all the time, and I don't know what's happened to it. One of our sides of Mac and Cheese came out still cold from the refrigerator and both of our sandwiches were 1/3 bare. Literally 1/3 of each sandwich was nothing but bread. We sent the Mac and cheese back to be cooked, and no one bothered to wait on it to bring it back. We had to ask for it. Mercy.
