On a road trip from TN to TX, we were driving through Little Rock and looking for something healthier and more filling than fast food. One of our friends (and a Little Rock native) recommended Boulevard Bread Company, and we're so grateful that we stopped to check this cute spot out! There are a few Boulevard locations in Little Rock, and while this one wasn't the most convenient to the highway, it was still open for lunch as we were driving through the city around 2:30 PM. I placed our order online from the road, so when we pulled in, our sandwiches were ready and waiting! I'm glad we did order ahead, as they were still pretty busy when we arrived. We grabbed a table and enjoyed our lunch inside the cafe. We split a couple of their signature sandwiches, and our favorite of the two was the pastrami. The rye bread pairs quite nicely with the roast beef. We also shared the turkey sandwich, which was good but not as memorable as the pastrami. I can confidently say that we'd make Boulevard our new go-to road trip stop in Little Rock! A sandwich labeled "vegan hummus" should have more than a thin, thin smear of hummus. That's what I got at Boulevard's new, main library location. The amount of avocado was sufficient, I guess, but just barely. I certainly wanted more hummus and more flavor, in general, and bread that was either toasted or not. My bread was the texture of stale, not nicely toasted ... Service was nice, staff is so friendly, place is gorgeous, kombucha and chips were yummy. But the sammie? A fail. I likely won't order from there again, given other reviews here. The place seems uneven in quality. read more

Cozy contemporary cafe in Little Rock. Service is walk up on all days except for Sunday brunch. Walk in grab your pastries and order any coffees or other menu items. They'll eat up your fresh baked goods if you like and bring it to you with your order. People at the front are super friendly! The pastries are the true stars here. The coffee is on par with what you expect, and they're a little on the weaker side. Chocolate croissants was sooooo flaky, tons of layers. Avocado toast I ordered wasn't up there on my board. It's honestly the reason the rating is pulled down a tad. The bread is a great base that's toasted a little too far. Only a thin spread of avocado. Red onions are fine. The carrots with lemon drizzle are a different choice, worked out I think. I enjoyed the pumpkin seeds. But ultimately I would not order this again. read more

My parma panini had burnt bread but the cheese was not melted. The cold brew I ordered tasted watered down. Despite this I enjoyed the environment very much. The service was nice I just wish the food had been better for the price. read more

Coffee was meh, and a bit pricey. The pastrami sandwich bread also had a weird, tough texture. Overall ambiance was very nice though, but not enough to compensate for the food. read more

Great bread! Large loaves, so tasty! The soup is delicious with many to choose from every day.

The tuna salad is unlike any other - capers give it that salty crunch that keeps you coming back for more. The creamy mustard dressing is wonderful. Highly recommend. read more

Boulevard Bread is a treat for me because I'm the only one in our house who likes it. Their Ham & Swiss (half) is delicious, and I love the Funky Fusion chips. When I went in August, I was disappointed they didn't have the Funky Fusion chips, but that happens sometimes. They usually have them on my next trip. Last Sunday (Sept 22), I went and ordered my usual. Again, they didn't have the chips, but that wasn't the worst of it. The focaccia bread, usually soft and delicious, was hard and tasted days old, and the greens tasted off. I've never been so miserable after eating at Boulevard Bread. It was an afternoon of bleh. While I'm sure this was a one-off (because they're usually on point), I don't think I'll return for a while. The servers and staff are always friendly and helpful, and I love the vibe of the place. Parking between 12:00 and 1:30 is usually super abysmal, so be prepared to walk if you go during peak hours. P.s. if anyone from BB should read this review, Voodoo chips are NOT "practically" like Funky Fusion chips. They're fine, but they're no FF. read more

I ordered a sandwich and I wanted mayonnaise instead of honey mustard. No mustard was my request when I received my order it had Dijon which was awful. I took the sandwich back to them and they remade the same sandwich with Dijon on it. By this time I was very frustrated and made sure to repeat I did not want any type of mustard .while waiting the owner or manager heard me specify the exact order for the 3rd time and he turned to me and said you need to calm down it's not their fault . I'm not exactly sure why he didn't immediately make sure things were correct for me but was actually very rude. Never ever again Horrible management read more

Wrong hours on their website & google. Ordered, paid, & showed up at the wrong restauran. Spent another 30 minutes going to second location. Then found out what I ordered is no longer on the menu yet it was on their website. Out of the 3 things I ordered, they gave me the cheapest thing for free. I had to call the restaurant to find the entrance, bc the mai entrance was locked with no sign directing you to the en that was open. The countertops were a mess. Ordered a grilled chicken salad. Unfortunately, the greens were stinky and rotten (pictures posted) and we couldn't eat most of it. We mentioned it to the employee but the response was "I'll let them know". No effort was made to resolve the issue by replacing the greens. I would avoid this place. read more

Today was my second or third time eating here for Sunday brunch while visiting Little Rock from out of town. The servers here are always so friendly and accommodating!Everyone in our party cleaned their plate. I thought the pimento omelet was good last time, but this time it was even better. Great little spot for brunch in the Heights area. We had a fun evening the night before and needed a good breakfast to help recover. I ordered the migas and the breakfast quiche. Migas was great and came with corn tortillas. My advice is get some hot sauce and put some on the eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the home made salsa verde had a nice flavor just no heat. Overall great dish. Breakfast quiche Lorain - hands down my favorite thing. Wish I had ordered 3. The quiche was cooked to perfection. Not to dense or to light. The eggs were light and fluffy. The crust was buttery and crumbled with just a poke of the fork. The wife got the breakfast sandwich which she liked. It needs some kind of sauce or mayo to pull it all together. The fruit salad had lots of good flavor. Local honey drizzled over the goat cheese topped toast was the best part. I snuck one and threw a few almonds on it. It was amazing. I didn't come here but my family got a chocolate cake from here and well, wow what a delicious cake. It was super moist (wet, damp, whatever word floats your boat) the flavor was super rich so you have to be very in the mood for sweets, not bad trust me but a very powerfully touch. A faint of heart can't take it lol. I was asking about the place and they offer food as well so I would definitely like to make it to the restaurant next time to have the full experience. I'm in love with their bread and their sandwiches. I highly highly recommend their focaccia (it is fluffy in the right way). I recommend getting their unique take on chicken salad (balsamic vinegar is key here) on it or their Rústico sandwich on it with turkey added for protein. Hubby, my daughter and I came here for brunch and everything was amazing. Our waitress Hannah was very attentive and had such a great personality. I had the Southern Benedict which had pulled pork. I'd never eaten it this way. And let me say I don't want to eat a Bene any other way! My husband had the fried chickens and grits. He says the chicken was okay. But the grits were better than most he's had from any restaurant around here. We topped off breakfast with mimosas which you can never go wrong with. Overall we were pleased. My 17 month old enjoyed some of both of our meals and her fresh fruit. We'll certainly return! read more

Came here on a Sunday for brunch around 9:30 and got seated right away in a little booth by the window. Perfect spot to sit. We ordered coffees and they were great, strong and flavorful. We each got a breakfast item. The smoked salmon bialy and the eggs Benedict and I had a mimosa. I loved the hollandaise sauce (there was a lot of it which I like and it was lemony to cut through the richness of the egg and Tasso) on the Benedict and the poached egg was cooked perfectly. The brioche was soooo good. Soft and buttery. Service was pretty good as well, she was friendly and kept our drinks full. The mimosa was very good. A few times I have come for the bakery and that set up is a little strange but the baked goods are all amazing. I will definitely do brunch here again and hope to try dinner sometime. read more

I have been to Boulevard a couple of time and everytime I have been disappointed by how difficult it is to order the right dish. Their food, when you can get it right, is really very good. A slightly over priced for the quality but overall a very nice place for quick lunch. Unlike other places on the street, they have a nice parking spot. Came here for breakfast service was pretty meh. Nevertheless, I came to be with one of my high school friends that's her cheesing like a chess cat with her plate of fruit. I ended up getting getting the Adobe pork bowl, which I was expecting it to be sizzling, savory flavors, melting together but when I got was pretty flat no season lukewarm eggs and salsa verde. Apparently, all the rage is the chicken and grits. Maybe next time if I return this is what I will try but I will say the ambience was really great, and the food did come out pretty quick even though it was kind of bland. Not a thing to complain about here. The bread was spectacular. My girlfriend and I purchased a loaf following our meal, eating it plain within the next couple of days. The lobby was cute and the waitress was helpful. Local produce and preservatives were for sale as well. We loved our food as well as the healthy menu options. We enjoyed our lunch here. I had pastrami on rye with light sauerkraut. Others had sourdough bread sandwich and a soup. We all liked the fresh flavors of everything. The sourdough bread was too tough for my husband. The service was nice. Tables were full. When we suddenly got a call from a repairman at our house and had to leave, they quickly provided the togo containers we needed. We frequently checked in with the host after seeing numerous people who arrived later than us being seated before us (their parties were the same size as ours and they did not have reservations). After 1.5 hours when the restaurant was half empty, we checked in again and were told by the host had "tried to find us for a table but couldn't locate us". We were also freezing the entire time we were there because one of the doors was open. It was 40 degrees outside. Everything seems a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get.
