Boyfriend and I were visiting Little Rock for our 4 year anniversary and stumbled across this pub while exploring the downtown River Market area. We were greeted promptly and met with a large variety of beer options, from drafts, to bottles & cans alike. Waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable in aiding our decisions and seemed to know the menu like the back of her hand. We went earlier in the afternoon during a weekday so it was rather quiet and comfortable, ambience was perfect and the wall decor was super unique and fun to look at. Met my brother there on his birthday for lunch on May 5. The food is always great, I usually get the German plate, or the wings, or the kick-a chicken. Was visiting Little Rock with grandson and needed a place to eat and rest. Saw the sign and walked in. We ordered a pizza, he had a soda and I a beer. This was middle of the afternoon on a Monday. Obviously, a pub bar, which my wife and I would have enjoyed, However, it worked very well with the 2 of us. The pizza was good, we both enjoyed it and he was fascinated with the ambience. If it had been later in the evening I would not have taken him in, my guess it could be raucous and loud. The beer selection was much larger than most places mostly it seemed to showcase smaller breweries. I was able to make a decent description of the style I enjoyed and the waitress was familiar with what was available.... Based on just 1 visit and only a pizza I would recommend the place. I have given a lot of patronage to this place, and it's unfortunate that an already failing business has to alllow the few customers they have left to be so disgusted by the lack of emotional intelligence these employees have today. Definitely worth the stop if you a beer person. Had a rueben sandwich with fries. Decent sandwich but nothing to get excited over. Fries were crispy, so they were definitely a hit. Best tenders I've had in a long time (perhaps because I don't have tenders often). That said, they are big, juicy, crunchy and hit the spot after a long day at work. The fries were also nice and crunchy. I love a little heat so asked for the mango habanero and kick in bourbon dips. Both were great! The local cider on tap was easy to drink and paired well with the chicken to create a nice meal of warm hugs for the belly. The waitress was awesome! She even sat down to explain the saucers. This places had good reviews and the downtown area didn't seem the safest or cleanest place to be so I came on in. Service was pretty quick. I got a goat cheese salad which was okay. It is exactly as the menu describes. I asked if I should get the pretzel or pizza and the sever said do you feel "bready" or not? So I got the pizza. And we'll it's like the least pizza thing on the planet. Basically lavash, cheese and some canned olives. I did ask for pepperoni - I got three of them. It was just a big gloopy mess. Stopped through on a Saturday afternoon on our way through Little Rock, en route elsewhere and didn't have time to wait at Lost Forty our initial destination. We were pleased to see it measures up to our regular Saucer haunt, the Houston Flying Saucer that we live near. Perhaps half the size, but plenty of room to hang out and not feel crowded. Good assortment of beer, some fun lighter options for sure in the sour section. Food menu was an older version of the menu in Houston, which we've missed somewhat since they revamped things for us locally. So that was a fun surprise, very familiar. This is a fabulous place with over 200 beers on tap! The service is incredibly hospitable and there is a lot to discover in the way of beers and food! The ambience is really chill despite the loud background noise. There are a couple televisions in the room. The plates on the ceiling with people's names and pictures indicate people that have drank at least 200 different beers here. Let me just say that I absolutely fell in love with this establishment. I'm a dark beer girl, love my stouts and they carried Left Hand Brewing Company beer out of Colorado where I used to live. The dark chocolate, cherry stout was to die for. We each had two, but watch yourself on these 7.0+ alcohol content.
