The food and counter service is good. I ordered the Bacon and cheese soufflé with a medium coffee. My spouse ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage, eggs and cheese on an ausiogo bagel. Decided to have lunch with my daughter and ordered the bacon mac & cheese, in a bread bowl with an apple. I must say the slug of bread they pulled out of the center of the bowl was refrigerator cold. The bacon was fatty and the mac & cheese was barely warm. The side of apple was about the size of a racquetball and after cutting it was evident that it was extremely old as it was soft and quite disgusting. Stopped in to try breakfast at the Lexington location. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant. This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! Bacon was crispy, eggs were hot, fresh, and fluffy- not too dry! Cheese (Gouda or Provolone, not sure) was perfectly melted and the croissant was fresh, warm, and flaky! Best of all I didn't have to wait too long. Entire staff was friendly and the salesperson, Abby, was very polite and knowledgeable. Will definitely be visiting again! read more

Yikes. How hard is it to get an order right once? I think we have been here three times now and every single time our order has been screwed up. From missed substitutions, to random substitutions, to completely forgetting half the ingredients on the sandwich. I've been to great Panera's. I've also been to some not so great Panera's. I ordered the you pick two, I got a turkey sandwich with JUST turkey and AMERICAN cheese. When I received the sandwich, it had onion, tomatoes, lettuce, and mayonnaise and that's not what I asked for. i also can't have mayonnaise, so I went up to the front counter and the person who worked the front counter was very nice and I told her they made my sandwich wrong and she said she's so sorry and asked for my receipt and brought it to the back and asked if they could remake my sandwhich with just turkey and cheese . Walked in to place a to-go order. The cashier didn't ask us what sides we wanted, only what drinks we wanted which was none. We were not guided to any pick up area, but were told to go there after several minutes of being there. The pick up area said our order was ready but it wasn't there. We consulted the cashier who said they're still working on it. Then our name was removed from the order board. 15 minutes and 2 more inquiries later we got our food. We checked the bag and all was there but both bags of chips were squished at the very bottom and so was the macaroni that was on its side. I ended up getting sick, and I know it's the Panera food because I went to Panera on Sunday and I have not went out to eat since then. I only go out to eat once a week, and I ended up getting sick. I am experiencing a fever and coughing and vomiting. So either something was wrong with the food or someone went into work sick. If something was wrong with the food I would recommend checking it making sure it's not past due date or anything. However if someone went into work sick then they should not have been there and need a reminder that working in food service while sick will get the other customers sick read more

This is the worst Panera I have ever been to. They consistently screw up every order, every time, for the past three years that I have lived here. Don't try to customize your order, they don't read orders correctly. If you want something that comes in a bowl, better check if it's clean, they don't wash well. Want ice-tea? Be ready for moldy tasting tea. Want bacon? Expect the bare minimum. French onion soup, expect barely enough cheese or five small croutons. They have upped their prices so much, doubled the number to get rewards too. This location is so cheap on ingredients, quality and care. The manager is nice but the staff could give a crap, because that's free. The district management should look at their overall reviews which is two stars, only because 0 stars is not available they have a higher score. I really wish I could give this location more stars, but I am just so disappointed. For $11.00, I expected my whole sandwich to be worth just that but what I got was clearly a $2.00 sandwich that was 5% steak, 3% cheddar, 6% red onions, 10% horseradish and 80% bread. I was sorely disappointed when I opened my box of food after I got home with my order. I ended up adding more cheese to it, then putting it in the oven to melt the cheese and then adding some lettuce on top before I ate it to give it some substance. I should never have to buy myself a meal and add more food to it! Not to mention, the girl at the drive thru did not know how to charge us separately for our two orders, so she had to ask someone after she already misunderstood us thinking we wanted to half our sandwiches. This location is always VERY slow. With taking orders, having to repeat yourself....incorrect orders.. Online orders don't help either. Had to wait over 15 minutes for an online order placed 30 min prior to arrival. What happened to the Southern Hospitality and manners I grew up with here? I was visiting from CA and came to Panera in February and again now in April. Today I stood at the counter for a few minutes. The manager (recognize her from my last trip) and several others walked by without acknowledging my presence or telling me that someone would back at the counter in a minute. I actually had to just ask loudly if anyone was working there because I was tired of being ignored. Finally got help and a bit of an apology. My visit in February was similar. I've been going to this location for a couple of years now. I feel I've really been patient in giving them a chance to improve during this period, but today I've given up hope. Customer service here is consistently horrible. The employees are slow and clueless. Every time I go, it seems as though it's a whole new crew and it's everyone's first day on the job. After waiting quite a while in line, I ordered a bagel and cream cheese with a coffee, and the girl taking my order nearly had a nervous breakdown - shaking her head and throwing her hands up in frustration. However, I don't put all the blame onto the employees. I think they are severely lacking in management. I really hope that the owner of this franchise location reads this and makes some changes. I hate to give just one star, but this place is always lacking in cleanliness, the food is never good and the staff acts as if they don't know what they're doing. There are always lot's of people camping out using the wifi and taking up the table spaces. The drive through is an even worse experience. A 10-20 minute wait is to long! Nothing spectacular to report. I was in the area and thought I'd resort to Panera for lunch, though now I wish I tried a local chain. I went with the you pick two and settled on the mediterannean chicken flatbread and mediterannean salad. The flatbread just wasn't fresh. The lentil hummus was dry and the sandwich wasn't warm like a normal flatbread. Also, pretty skimpy amount of chicken. I was also rather disappointed with the Mediterranean salad. Quinoa was sprinkled on as a last minute addition, when instead, it should be a mainstay of the dish. On a positive note, there is a drive thru and they have upped the technology so when you order, you put the magnetic gadget on your table and they find you that way and bring you your food. read more

Went here to get breakfast this morning. They stop serving at 10:30 am and boy they are not kidding. We got here prior to 10:30 am. On the way in my husband opened the door for me and a woman ran in front of me and got ahead of us on line. As rude as that is it wasn't the issue. The issue was that despite having to get in front of us, she couldn't decide what she wanted and held up the whole line. It was finally our turn at 10:32 am and she says no I can't get breakfast. Most disappointing Panera experience to date. The girl who was taking orders at the front was very attentive and professional, but that's unfortunately where it stopped. She had to move to a different register to take our order because another employee was talking with a friend across the counter. We received our order and I received a sandwich that was by all means pitiful, and not even what I ordered. They failed to give us our sides, which I had to ask for. They begrudgingly made my correct order as well. Food was good (after we received all of it and it was corrected) but customer service left a lot to be desired. I have been hesitant to write a review about my experience at this Panera Bread but I wish I'd read on Yelp earlier and I would have known I'm not alone as a disgruntled customer at this location. I work about 2 miles from this location and have been going here off and on for a couple years. Typically it was just lunch in the afternoons and my orders were fine, then my shift changed and I began doing rapid pick up for breakfast. I have experienced a multitude of issues when trying to pick up my breakfast. My most recent was this morning. I ordered through the app about 7:21 this morning for my bagel (1) to be ready at 7:45, I knew I had one other stop before heading that way and I would be in a rush to get to work at 8. I arrive to this location about 7:53 and head to the pick up area, and lo and behold, my order was not there! I go back to the front and tell the two women at the front. One goes to check on my order is gone for a minute and then asks me my name again, I tell her my name and order and she goes to the back. At this point I moved to the counter where food is picked up so that I won't miss them putting the bag up. At this time the young lady that asked my name is talking to I assume a manager in the back (she had a purple polo shirt on and was standing in the doorway to an office) and the manager told her to apologize about the order not being ready. The young lady, grabbed a bagel and began to toast it.... I did not request for it to be toasted only sliced. I let her know and she did get another bagel out and a bag and to get my cream cheese spread. What was also disappointing during this visit is that this manager in the purple polo shirt walked RIGHT PASS me without acknowledging me or apologizing as she instructed her employee to do (which the employee did not do either). This will be my LAST visit to this location. Among this issue, I have ran in to them not following directions previously and toasting and slicing bagel when I did not ask. I do not usually eat the bagel at that time so that causes it to be hard and dry when I do eat it 2 hours later. They have also given me a cinnamon crunch bagel that must have been with a poppy seed bagel because it also had poppy seeds all over the bottom. Thank God I am not allergic! Also multiple times when I have come in they will take my order but not ask if I have a My Panera Rewards account and I have to say something and then they will go back and allow me to put my information in. All in all this location is slow, doesn't follow instructions, unorganized, not customer oriented or friendly and doesn't care about the inconveniences it causes its customer. I came in contact with 3 employees this morning and not one of them apologized and said "we dropped the ball", the young lady who brought me my order told me there was an error with the computer in the back communicating with the one in the front. It's very disappointing because I previously thought highly of the company but perhaps it's just this location. read more
