Fruit and yogurt parfait
Abby R.

I have not been overly impressed by this location in the past. The remodel looks nice. I ordered a pb&j and when I I opened the bag it was completely smushed. I have also ordered the grilled cheese which was cold when I picked it up 3mins before the scheduled pickup time. I like the open space for dining in which accommodates large groups. Catering seems to run smooth when we have it delivered to our near by office. I like the new recipe for the yogurt parfait.

I haven't been here in ages. Panera has never been a favorite of mine. I've always considered it to be over rated and over priced. I will say the improved "deliver to your table" is a worthwhile upgrade. I never liked having to stand and wait with a sea of other folks around the drink station. It was always so congested. The food for me is...meh. No real complaints, but nothing exceptional either. My daughter loves this place and was her pick for our date night. I left underwhelmed and reminded why I don't eat here.

This Panera's recently went through a complete remodel/reorganization and although mistakes still happen often I can only see things improving in the future. For one: this location finally added the discontinued Sierra Turkey to their "secret menu". If you have a discontinued favorite ask! The chipotle mayo that comes with it must be back to it's original recipe as it's not an oily mess like our last visit. The floor plan changed slightly and more self-ordering kiosks were added. No more butt in diners face while waiting in a line that snakes around the dining room. Order online thru their app and they'll deliver to your table. Each table is numbered so they can find you. In fact whether you place your order with someone live, thru their app, or through their kiosk all food is delivered to your table - no more standing awkwardly blocking the way. The new décor is tasteful and more on trend, although less intimate and more exposed than the old set up, but they still have the fireplace! Cons: prices have increased but do sign up for loyalty as I scored $2 off my "you pick two" yesterday and frequently get offers, including freebies. They still make mistakes. A " you pick two" is supposed to come with half a sandwich, mine came with a whole, their mistake my gain :) The employees are so busy delivering to the tables that the trash cans are often overlooked. Piled up dishes are commonplace. I do wish they would clear the tables as well as it's hard to maneuver your trash and pick your silver wear out so it doesn't get discarded. Worth noting: While logging onto their wifi I didn't get the 30 minute limit notice like in the past - perhaps now it's unlimited?

Steel cut oatmeal with brown sugar topping, strawberries, and 3 pecans.

I got the steel cut oatmeal with strawberries, pecans and brown sugar. What I got looked like it was frozen for about 10 years, dried out in the Sahara desert, threw a spoonful of brown sugar on, threw on like 4 slices of strawberries, and put 3 pecans on it. I am very dissatisfied in my meal. It was so dry that I needed to add milk to it. The original oatmeal itself was also warm, not hot, warm. Overall, my experience was not enjoyable and I will not buy this item again. The pictures are what they have on their website and the other one is what I received.

The dining area, bathrooms and drink area were filthy. I didn't look like it's been cleaned in a while. The staff was polite and helpful.

Always love their tuna sandwich and tomato soup. My go to whenever I'm near one. The muffins are good too.

Callaloo - Doubles

I have to ask... a Trini restaurant in Lancaster?! Of course I had to see if it was actually worth…read moreit, especially as a doubles lover. WELL WELL... it exceeded every single expectation. The doubles? Exceptional. Soft, perfectly filled, and full of flavor. And the hot pepper sauce? Whew. It didn't just add heat, it elevated an already outstanding dish to another level. I ordered so many doubles I barely had room for anything else but I had to try the dhal and it was exactly what I needed. Comforting, rich, and done right. Everything tasted like true, authentic Trini food, the kind that makes you feel warm, satisfied, and already thinking about your next visit. I was literally craving it every single day for the rest of my Lancaster trip. The space itself is on the smaller side, but really cute and inviting. The service was great: friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience complete. Whether you're new to Trini food or already know what's up, Calaloo will not disappoint. Trust me, you'll be planning your next visit before you even leave.

I always order the coconut jerk chicken and am delighted be the Trinidadian/Asian fusion mix their menu provides. Specials rotate, which is so much fun. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and even my gluten-free mother can eat here. The food is consistently good and the spice levels are high, so take them seriously! Especially the pepper beef. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through!

They do this mystery beer thing which is just a cheap beer but it's fun and feels on brand for the place. Food wise the beef tips are the move. I would honestly go back just for that. Good spot overall.

This place was BUSY on a Saturday night (a good thing for a restaurant and a good sign for those…read morecoming in for the first time)... we didn't have a reservation, having planned to late, but they do keep tables open for walk-ins and despite being told it was an hour wait (whatever, we knew we ran that risk), we were seated in 15 minutes - Luck, maybe? But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.
