The employees are the most important asset in a business. This rings true here at Panera Bread in Lake Forest, California. Hats off to the absolutely stellar, professional, kind, very observant, alert and solid worker Eva. I have never seen any Panera employee greet customers as they entered and also when they left. Never! Genuine, smiling and spreading the love. I got to have a wonderful conversation with this enterprising and super intelligent lady whose photo and info should be next to " The Sky is the Limit" section in Panera's Corporate handbook and any dictionary/ thesaurus/ guide/encyclopedia/ employee orientation manual anywhere. I also got to meet the awesome Dennis who was just a happy person. Same for the very nice Bailey who went the extra mile to make a very picky customer happy. I was also blessed to meet their hiring Manager Ty who mentioned the word" family". He offered me a free birthday pastry for my upcoming 68th in 4 days but I shared my recent Gavone adventures with him. Very sweet of him! Their combined impact is felt in all customer interactions and in the food prep and serving. The resultant vibe in this restaurant is also loving and chill. Yes Panera has the standard hot and cold sandwiches, the salads, the soups, the Mac, the hot and cold drinks & smoothies, the unlimited Sip Club. The team here really cares. Seen them bring out hot water in individual cups, redo iced coffees for customers, take care of everything with class and grace. Rare today! This Panera location separates itself from all the Paneras I have been to in NY, Va, Oh, Mo, Illinois, Oklahoma, New Mexico - all these visited in the last 10 days as I drove west. Separate and leagues above. Thank you Excellent Eva, Brilliant Bailey, Dynamite Dennis, Jovial Josh and Terrific Ty. Very grateful!

The quality of their food is horrendous. I got a Parthia excise of an egg and cheese sandwich, with the world's thinnest slice of egg and no cheese .. just bread and egg and paid an a ridiculous $7.50 for it .

Yummy broccoli cheese soup! Great place for a quick sit down. Food is okay, just your typical sandwich, wraps and soups place. I think the convenience is great! Good customer service as well.

This specific location is very good and everyone who works there is so nice and accommodating. I don't find that in the one in mission Viejo. I love their French onion soup and their broccoli cheddar soup. I also love their turkey and cheddar sandwich. Their coconut macaroons are so god to. I'm also part of their sip program and it is well worth it.

    False advertising

Did the half and half combo, got a turkey bacon (asked for no cheese and got no bacon) and a soup, the deal says for 9.99 yet I was charged 17 and some change. I called to ask what happened (wasnt going to say anything untill they didnt give me the bacon I over paid for) the cashier had no idea what was going on and pretty much said your out of luck. Paid 17.51 for a sandwich that looks like youde get a 711 and a cold soup, see pic for details. If I was at an airport or Disneyland land I could understand this but were not

The lunch special is a really good deal. You get to pick two half portions for $8.99. You can't get lunch anywhere for that price. The food tastes fresh, but nothing is special about the food. Nothing is special about the service either. Like a fast food restaurant that you order at the counter. This panera has a big dining area. It is quite busy during lunchtime. HAPPY SANDWICHING!!

This is my local Panera Bread. I've been coming to this one for awhile and more so now with their sip club subscription. Parking can get pretty rough at times so I normally park in the center of the shopping plaza and walk a few steps to the restaurant. This one is pretty clean compared to other Panera Breads I've been to and they always seem to have a full staff that is friendly and helpful with top notch service. Most of the time the pickup orders are ready in the cubbies along the wall ready to be picked up without the need to ask the kitchen when the order will be ready compared to others where you need to let the staff know you're there to pack the order.

We visited the simpler Shang Shui Noodle House(Frank's dumplings and noodles) while the restaurant next door, Shang Shui Bistro(Frank's bistro Chinese cuisine) , focuses more on elevated Hunan and Cantonese dishes. Once we walked in, we could just find a seat and order through the QR code menu. It was convenient since we could take our time looking through the options. We ordered: 1. Roasted Duck Noodle Soup $19.99 2. House Special Fish Fillet Noodle Soup $15.99 3. Pork Knuckle Noodle Soup $16.99 Everything tasted pretty good! I ordered the signature fish fillet noodle soup, which was one of their recommended dishes. My husband thought the fish soup had the best flavor among the three dishes we tried. The portions were just right, and the prices were very reasonable. For the noodles, I would recommend choosing udon or ramen. My husband and our friend chose rice noodles, but they became too soft and broke apart easily when picking them up with chopsticks. After dinner, we stopped by Frank's bistro Chinese cuisine next door to take a look. The interior is much more upscale, and they also use a QR code menu. Most dishes are around $20 and up. We chatted with one of the staff members, who mentioned that they opened in August last year and focus on authentic Cantonese and Hunan cuisine. He was also proud to share that their dishes are freshly prepared, not the typical pre-made food you might find elsewhere. Will definitely come back to try the dishes at Shang Shui Bistro next time. Sharing this spot for anyone looking for Chinese noodles or authentic Chinese cuisine in the area! Frank's Dumplings & Noodles 20651 Lake Forest Dr STE A-102, Lake Forest, CA 92630

I checked in with the staff if dogs were allowed indoor, which they gracious accepted. Service was so friendly. They even asked if they could offer our dogs something to eat. It is actually not a cookie, but more like a Chinese style pancake. The filling is so yummy! Definitely coming back in the future.

Today we finally made it to have lunch here. The scallion pancakes were so flaky and crispy and well layered. It was so good as is and no need additional sauce. The beef and rice cake was good but not sure if I would get it again...there are so many other choices on the menu... I was also able to take frozen dumplings home to eat later. Luckily our friend had put our name down quickly and we were seated upon the rest of our party's arrival within 15 ish minutes. Now that I've tried the food, felt the service, and enjoyed our meal, I can see why it has a line and a high star rating! The service: super friends and accommodating! The place itself is a small/medium size with lots of tables for seating multiple small/medium sizes of parties. We were a party of 5 (4 adults, one baby/toddler with a high chair). I loved how they accommodated my child with their children's menu in addition to providing us with scissors to cut up noodles. Upon stating our allergies, they helped us with food suggestions and limitations. It's honestly the little things that go above and beyond, as well as their friendly service. They weren't overtly checking up on us, and had just the right amount of interaction and help. Food: 3 of us got the beef belly pho and one got the beef rib, my son got a kids mean. Upon receiving our bowls you'd think by looking at the clarity of the broth that it wouldn't be super flavorful, but it absolutely was. It's not overpowering, but the right amount of savory with a hint of sweetness from the added o green onions. Each pho came with the garnishes of basil, lime, and bean sprouts as normal. We did have to ask for small side plates For those who wanted hoisin and sriracha on the side, but not a big deal and quick to get. I'm also a huge fan of the lychee lemonade at vox, which they had here. Not refillable, but still loved it! My son got their chicken nuggets with fries since the pho broth had some sesame oil which he's allergic to, but he loved it. It came in the cutest kid "happy meal" type of box and we used the scissors given to cut the nuggets and a few "washed" noodles. Overall, would love to come again for a great bowl of pho if the wait isn't too long!
