WORST Panera ever!!!! I will never go here anymore. I used to come here all of the time since it is very close to me, but will not be back at all anymore. Every time I go recently, there is no line and they take 40 min + to get me my order. They don't even acknowledge that you're sitting at the window or say "sorry, this is going to take about 40 min". This is something they should say when your placing your order Incase you don't have time at the drive through to sit that long. They're also extremely RUDE! After they let you sit that long at the window with no acknowledgement what so ever, they spirk like it's funny. WORST employees/management ever. Also, the employees don't wear aprons and wear their home clothing with cat hair and lint on them. DISGUSTING! Never returning. read more

Coffee was lukewarm then ran out. Literally all three coffees were at the end and Luke warm. decaf was lukewarm. Dirty dishes throughout. Very chill employees taking there time making food, giving no attention to customers. Came for food. I have been to Panera twice now and both times were horrible. This last time (today) was the worst. The worker was rude, inpatient and was not interested in answering my questions. The food is terrible. I paid over $26 for a half sandwich that had brown wilted lettuce and only one slice of turkey, a cup of soup, a grilled cheese and a half salad that was not very good. Won't be back. From the moment we entered, the manager was annoyed that our cheer team showed up. Closed the dining room and yelling at staff because we had 15 ish people they had to serve. Then she left cause she couldn't handle it. Already short staff became even shorter. Having experience running a restaurant in Portland, when a rush hits, you get your hands dirty with your team. You don't yell, stomp around, close the dining room and peace out on your staff. Apologies for bringing you business. Btw, I would like a refund. Ordered a bagel sandwich for breakfast with nobody else in the building and 2 drive thru ahead of mine. After 22 minutes when asked why it was taking so long, the manager said we only have 2 people cooking food. Mind you, she and 3 other employees are chit chatting when asked if they could please speed up the order. I understand being short staffed and that causing a delay, but 2/ minutes for an already cooked bagel with egg, sausage, and cheese was a bit much in my opinion. The cheese and broccoli soup was outstanding the salad was really good my concern is their lack of busing tables and disinfecting the tables when individuals leave. You pick up your own food and you're supposed to bust your own table.? How did they know what table you sat at? How do you know the table you said it was just infected from the person who was there before you? Does not sound like safe Covid practice to me. Bathroom needs to be scrubbed. Never order delivery. We have been ordering panera from here for the last 2 years and it is 50/50 that all your items will be present. Whole sandwiches, full sized salads etc will not be present. Literally half your order. When you call customer service they can't help because it's privately owned. Just send a note to the manager. I love Panera!!! Today just wasn't it for them. Got 2 of the pick 2 and only got one and was charged for both. I Went on and talk with the super sweet man that is there. When my order was taken it was a gentlemen but he seemed to have not want to be at work. Forgot to put in our croissants and was charged for them. I understand that there is low staff and that this type of industry is hard when not many workers are available. As I myself work at a low staff restaurant. My wife and I went to dinner there at about 530 on Wednesday evening. The place was not busy at all, I think there were maybe three or four other couples and many empty tables. The girl who took our order was very patient and helpful and took our order accurately. The food was fine. However we had to search for a table that was clean, many of the tables had not been wiped down, there was food on a couple of the seats and on the floor in some parts of the restaurant. Also the womens bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned recently. The front door of the restaurant both doors were covered in handprints. There were a number of high school age employees that you could see that we're mostly just talking to each other and not doing anything, and the place was just not that busy. If it had been busy I could see why it might be so dirty. The overall impression was just a feeling that it was not well-maintained and cleanliness is not a priority. read more

Yesterday my wife and I decided to get a couple salads and a flatbread pizza. We each ordered the Fuji apple salad, which was great. Fresh, crispy, sweet and tasty, very good. We also got the pepperoni flatbread pizza. It was overcooked, partially burned, the crust was hard and brittle, the toppings were nothing like the advertised item, toppings did not cover the top of the crust leaving far too much dry uncovered crust for our liking. We may do the salads again, but for a total bill of $37 for both salads and the pizza I seriously doubt there will be another flatbread pizza in our future. It isn't worth it. read more

My husband and I come here whenever we shop at Keizer Station. We know that we will both find something we like and it won't be too expensive. Because it is near shopping it can be hard to find a seat. So try to avid the peak lunch times. I recommend later in he lunch hours. The food comes out fast and the order is always correct. I went to the Keizer store today to purchase some fresh bread for dinner. I was behind a party of four, who took quite some time to complete their order, which is fine, but their was just one front counter person working. During my 10 minute wait, the store manager approached the cash register twice, but never acknowledged me waiting or asked if he could help. However, he did go and get his own food and beverages and sat down in clear view of me. I really enjoy Panera, but their employees certainly need better leadership that "Frankie" modeled. Just stopped through on our way south since it's been years and used to be one of my favorite spots. The guy who helped us was short and annoyed. He got the order wrong in front of us as well as ours, but since we waited over 15 mins with one person in front of us, we didn't want to wait for them to fix it. I'll give this place a 4-star. Surprisingly, this is the first Panera bread that I've ever been to. I don't know why it hasn't been earlier! I got a fairly basic breakfast sandwich, just an egg and cheese. But the flavors were delightful! I like that they had a variety of black coffee options too, making it a nice go to spot for breakfast. I'll make sure to stop here again when driving north from Salem. This was the worst experience to have as a first time customer. I ordered through the drive-through window $31 worth of food (2 people so I thought way too expensive for fast food). We has salad, soup & one sandwich. They did not put in forks, spoons or napkins even though I clearly asked if the bag was complete with what we needed. Got all the way to Interstate 5 before we discovered it and had to go back. Then when we got back on the freeway I discovered the apple I had ordered was also left out of the bag but not going back a third time. Very disappointed in the quality of the salad. It tasted old/dirty.I had always seen the commercials for this chain and expected home type cooked food but alas it's just another fast food chain. Well Panera has lost my business. Its funny how a place can find great success only to then get greedy and start ripping you off. Here's why. If you go for the soups or soup bread bowl, then its ok. However, my go to sandwhich is the Italian. It used to be a nice large sandwhich with 4 or 5 different meats, cheese, lettuce, tomato and peppercini. With a nice pickle on the side. Today I go, after not going for about 2 months, and order my Italian. What they now serve is a sandwich half the size of the original with half the fixins. My finger was fatter than the shriveled up excuse for a pickle they gave me. I will not be returning to Panera any time soon. I refuse to patronize an establishment that serves one thing to get customers, only to rip them off after you have them as customers. read more

This review is for Panera Bread in general, no idea how they are in business. We went to the new location at the Woodburn outlet mall and it took them twice as long to get us our food as it did for us to be served a real meal at a sit down restaurant the day before. The food is not very good and there is very little of it. A half tuna salad meal consisted of about a tablespoon of tuna salad on two flavorless slices of white bread. The wait was long to order, the service was inadequate, the food was lackluster, the portions were tiny, the wait to get the food was inexcusably long for fast food, and the price is insanely high for what you get. For what we paid for two half sandwich meals we could have easily had two 6 inch subs at Subway and had better, faster service and much better quality of food. I'm actually suspicious of the quality of what we were served since we ordered different sandwiches and both of us ended up not feeling well that night and the next day. That was the only meal out we had that day. In short, I would advise avoiding the entire chain, I know I will be. Slow can be situational based on staffing level and number of customers. The quality and quantity of the food and the value for your money are not situational. Paying more for less is just stupid so unless they slash all prices in half and improve the quality no more Panera Bread for me or anyone in my house. read more

Meh is a good description of this place. My partner and I waited eagerly for this establishment to open. I had eaten at several across the country and thought they were pretty good. We arrived on a Saturday around 1130 a.m. to a PACKED restaurant. Parking was atrocious! (As an aside, what engineering genius only built ONE entrance/exit to this place? When the parking lot is crowded, you can hardly get in and out safely. They need another egress point BADLY!). We entered the closest door which put us at the BACK of the place and we had to weave our way to the 'front' of the store which based on how it is situated should be the BACK, but I digress. There were several folks standing around all looking confused at the very large menus on the wall. As my partner and I approached the counter a young lady literally yelled at us: "CAN I TAKE YOUR ORDER?" She was yelling at us like someone would yell at you who recently came out of a loud venue and their hearing was impared! It was offputting. After placing the order we were given what appeared to be a tiny space ship and told it would buzz when our order was ready. We got our drinks and navigated the dining area to a small table. We had hardly sat down when the mini flying saucer sprung to life, lighting up, buzzing and vibrating across the table. My partner retreived our meal. I had ordered their spinach salad with french onion soup. I was underwhelmed. The salad was more layered than mixed with mushy bits in the bottom of the bowl topped by wilted spinach leaves that appeared to have not been washed. The soup was adequate but nothing of note. Price point was what I expected for the hype of the chain, but the food served didn't equate to the price charged. Will I go back? Probably, when the hype dies down I will give them a second chance, but really....get another entrance/exit, and figure out the flow of the customers. read more

I am not sure what the big deal is with this chain? The bland food? The obnoxious pricing for that bland food? The slow service? The mistakes they make? Or the POOR quality of ingredients and preparation. Stopped on my way through Salem for a quick bite after seeing all the commercials and being asked to by the missus (I guess she like P-Bread...don't know why). Ordered their Cobb Salad, Smokehouse Turkey Panini, BBQ Chicken Flatbread, and Clam Chowder...all told way more than I should have spent for lackluster food. Let's start with the mediocre first. Smokehouse Turkey Panini, meh, it was ok nothing to brag but was OK the bacon was limp and rubbery and the turkey was bland. Also, if there was sun dried tomatoes on this sandwich, they dried all the tomato out of those poor guys because the whole thing tasted like leftover turkey washed in tap water. Next the not so good. The BBQ Chicken Flatbread, so it was flatbread and I am guessing chicken (though not much of it), but that is where this went off track. The BBQ sauce was more tasteless than ketchup and I ended up putting Sweet Baby Rays on it just so it would taste like BBQ. I'll discuss the clam chowder later, however, the bread that was supposed to be included with my meal. The same bread that the drive through clerk grilled about what kind, was so light and airy that it almost seemed like it wasn't there. Because it wasn't there, they completely forgot it. Now the bad....ok, horrible. The Clam Chowder, much like everything else bland, but had the added benefit of undercooked potatoes. So the bland flavor is paired with the crunch of uncooked tubers...Awesome flavor profile by the way. And now the pièce de résistance, the Cobb Salad...not only was it flavorful but it tasted like old lettuce. Mistakenly, I took a few bites without looking at the salad thinking that with all the quality that this chain talks about in their ads, they would back those claims up....WRONG. The salad was indeed old. Possibly harvested last year's lettuce and included it in this gastronomical nightmare, much of the lettuce was wilted and had brown ends all over the place. So much for quality and taste...NEVER going back to this place. I would rather eat worms than go back to this chain...at least worms might be organic. Both of these items went into the trash partially eaten. Bonus...After eating what I did from this place, I was visiting the bathroom more than a bulimic fashion model.
