Stopped here in the hopes of filling and fueling up for an overnighter remodel job. Located in the opposite side of the walmart parking lot on the end- there is ample outdoor and indoor seating.it is your typical layout of a Panera Bread so I can't say it was better or worse than the usual. I ordered a sandwich and a salad- turkey sandwich and a half Caesar salad. Plus a fountain beverage to which I went with a flavored iced tea that comes on tap in containers in the back. When it was all said and done it came to $14. I have always been fine with paying for good food, but to be honest- the whole meal was just meh. The sandwich had minuscule meat on it, and was very dry. The salad was good, nothing special about it if I'm honest. In terms of the service they take down your name and then give you a device that lights up and vibrates when your order is done. So when the girl called out my name (pronounced oddly) and my device wasn't lit up, obviously I would approach cautiously in case it wasn't for me and the right person didn't think I was trying to pop their food. So as I approached I showed my device (still not lit up) and the girl, treating me like a mouth-foaming moron, talks down to me like this is my first day off a feeding tube. Wasn't appreciated but I'm not butched over enough to care. I of course forgot to take pictures because you weren't there, so I have no pictures to share. read more

I still stand by my low review of this location panera. They do not give paper bowls or ladles or anything when u get the family feast claiming no other paneras do. Guess what...they do. The preparation and quality of the food is subpar compared to other locations. read more

Food was good and the lemonade, was not the best but the soup spilled on me! the service was ok.

They forgot my damn chicken in a chicken salad Can't be that hard right? Still a good salad

Some of the girls were really unprofessional. More concerned with talking to friends and clocking out than assisting customers. My husband and I just grabbed our own drink cups because she just walked away. read more

Great food and service. The guy who rang us up was really nice. Our order came out wrong, but they quickly fixed it with no argument. The restaurant was clean and nearly empty. One weird thing was you clear your own table. I've never been to a Panera where you do that. read more

Great food, quick service and reasonable prices, they have an ever changing menu yet keep the favorites

The service is horrible and the staff are unprofessional on the job. They start fights behind the counter which makes an uncomfortable dining experience. This should be replaced by a chick fil a or something more useful read more

Wondering if the only other reviewer gets the concept of Panera? Yes, the prices are high, but does she realize that just about every time on the menu is made in store. So you are getting what you pay for, which is fresh made items. Anyway, speaking on Panera, this location is on par with all other locations that you can visit. With it being one of the newer locations, it's fairly clean and up kept. Service is decent, orders are put together in a timely manner. Warmer months are better to visit as there is seating outside. This makes a decent enough place to have dinner and a movie at. The theater is within walking distance from here. In this part of Johnstown, it's one of the better places to eat. Even if it seems like the prices are "WAAAAY OVERPRICED!" read more

I did not get everything I ordered. Paid 14$ for a small mac and cheese and did not get the rest of my meal.

Ate there today not a big fan of this place but figure i give it another try I ordered the margarita pizza my daughter the cream of broccoli bread bowl well the bread was stale and hard and the pizza was horrible tasting wasn't fresh and hardly even warm left there with a stomach ache for hours over it won't go there again read more

My toddler and I shit Our brains out after an over peppered green Goddess salad. Resembles a staph infection. She complained about the spices & normally eats it --- it is almost like some genius praised for a bad solution (bc they didn't know how to store the dressing properly, or toss it once it wasn't) hid a problem at our expense. read more

This Panera is - BY FAR - the most disgusting, filthy location in the US. The bathrooms are gross, the silverware usually has food on it, drink station is sticky and littered and the employees are standing in the prep area chatting away. read more

60% of the tables have been dirty the last 3 times I came here. The cashier was unable to explain the pick two and it caused me to pay 5$ extra for the soup. The food is what you would expect for fast casual type dining. If a customer is told they get to pick two items for a price and then picks something outside of that "pick two" then something should be mentioned as that is misleading. read more

Always good! Some of the staff could be nicer but what do you expect from an entire crew of what appear to be teenagers and twenty somethings. read more

"Noted 10 drain flies in the bakery area on the walls, noted 50 drain flies in the sandwich prep area on the walls and ceiling, noted 10 drain flies on the wall in the soft drink area, noted 25 drain flies on the floor under the hot soup heating unit. UV light fly traps have been installed but they are ineffective with no flies in the trap. This is the worst fly infestation in the past 6 months. A solution for the fly problem must be found." I thought this was a nice place until I read the health inspectors report. read more

Can't leave a review of the food at this specific Panera because I was u aware that closing at 8 actually means closing at 7:15. We walked in waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order just to be warned that they were closing their dining room, at 7:25. They clearly had no plan to be serving people anymore this evening. However every other one I have been to I have definitely enjoyed and my services has been great. read more

The strawberry poppyseed salad is so good and refreshing -- and so is the Greek salad - very generous portions .

Staff is hurried and visibly stressed which makes me feel stressed as I order. Sandwiches are slapped together and fall apart when you try to pick them up. Maybe they need more staff? It is located in the busiest plaza in Johnstown. read more

I love that you can order and pay online, then just go pick up your food! Its really convenient and a nice feature for people in a hurry. The staff is friendly and the cobb salad is consistently good. read more

Bought a Frontega chicken sandwich at their Amherst Ohio store for takeout. It was the worst sandwich that I ever purchased. At $9.99 it had less than one ounce of chicken in the sandwich and was really just two big pieces of bread. Terrible read more

I love Panera bread ... I go there atleast 4 days a week great selection of foods and drinks.

This is the 3rd Panera Bread visit since the menu changed. 2nd at this store. We have probably been to this one about 20 times under the old menu. I realize they caught the "healthy eating" bug, but must you change everything on the menu? The food is in tiny portions compared to before and nothing we had in 3 stops tasted nearly as good as in the past. (Except the chips.) Also, prices have risen considerably. I had the "Pick Two" with the 1/2 steak and white cheddar panini. It was good, but very small for $5.79. Would never have ordered it if I saw it first. The very small soup was $3.89. The lunch quantity was insufficient for an adult human male. J.M.H.O. The bread on my wife's small sandwich was dry and tasteless. Bread here, (Hello - it's Panera BREAD??) used to be soooooo good. Sorry to say, this place went from being one of our very favorite stops to "probably not".. .. read more

I visit family in the area every fees weeks and Panera is (or was) one of the only reliably decent places to eat in Johnstown - as many Johnstowners would likely agree. Lately, my experiences at Panera have gone from good to fair to subpar to dismal. Two weeks ago it was so crowded and backed up that I stood in line for fifteen minutes for my order to be completed. The food was average and the seating was crowded. This week was almost the opposite as there were very few people in the restaurant and in fact the main dining area was all blocked off with tables and chairs askew. Most noticeable however was the almost complete lack of any remaining bagels or pastries left from the morning rush. I ordered an unfamiliar item from the menu which by the way is difficult to decipher under the best of circumstances. While waiting for my order to be taken I noticed that four people were standing around in the kitchen prep area doing almost nothing while the floor had several areas of pooled water, dropped vegetables, bread and paper strewn on the floor and the salad prep area looked as though it hadn't been tended since store opening -- yet no one made any move to correct any of these deficiencies. My next discovery was the coffee urn was empty as was the creamer pitcher. The food itself was unremarkable at best and inedible at worst, with the trophy for most food disposed to the trash going to the Java Bowl, high could be aptly named the cilantro Twitter Challenge. This place is just plain awful now. Franchisee：if you monitor these reviews , you should know you have one hell of a problem with your store manager or lack thereof. You need to intervene fast before your clientele moves on. read more

Visited the Richland Panera Sunday evening to order 2 sandwiches to go. Only one other person was there, that walked in behind me. I walked to the counter to ask about a good description of the sandwich's I was interested in ordering. The girl that waited on me mumbled, while a sweeper was running and banging was going on in he back of the kitchen area, which made it even more difficult to understand her. I had to ask her 3x's to repeat herself, due to the noise and the fact that she not only was mumbling, but had turned her back to me while she was talking. They were out of the roll for the one sandwich and the cheese for the other one. So I got what I could as substitutes, but when I got home, realized she gave me the wrong sandwich. The two sandwiches came to $24. and there truly nothing on the one sandwich! My husband and I were totally disappointed and will not go back!!! Terrible, food and service! Not at all worth what we paid! read more

Ok so Panera is a chain establishment, but what can I say, they make one tasty sandwich. I've eaten at several different locations and every one has been good. This one in Johnstown is no exception. Service is good and the sandwiches are better. What could make a good sandwich better?...home made bread. I would definately recommend Panera for lunch. read more

Panera Bread - Sandwiches Near Me - Johnstown, Pennsylvania

Staff were friendly enough, but the service was a bit slow considering they weren't very busy (there were maybe 3 or 4 people in the place total) and the breakfast sandwich I ordered was a bit slapdash (wildly unevenly cut bagel, ingredients falling out, etc)... read more

Panera here is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get a great sandwich made how it's supposed to be made or you'll get one with a sticker, or no cheese, or they forgot the meat. That's not really common for this location but it has happened twice. Other than that, it's the only real place in Johnstown to get a healthy salad or a tasty soup. The coffee is great and the iced green tea is super yummy. I would recommend read more

Clean throughout although there are some damaged booths. Food has always been fresh and orders accurate. Speed of taking and filling orders is excellent. This location has a huge waiting area near the order queue and an exit to the side in case the front is busy. Staff is friendly and professional. read more

I love everything about Panera. They food is delicious. The employees are excellent, and the place is always clean. You have to try the Mac and Cheese. It's amazing! The Caesar salad is awesome and fresh. The desserts are delicious. My go-to is the bear claw. I usually go by myself since it's a mini vacation for me. read more

This is a typical panera. Good, reliable food. Certain cashiers could be a bit more friendly. I've also had them forget my drink a few times. But it's usually just the one cashier. Everyone else seems very polite and friendly read more

I have worked in multiple Panera Breads across the country doing electrical work. I can tell you from behind the scenes nothing is freshly made! The soups come in large bags which they just heat up. For the low quality food and the price they do not match up. read more

The food is generally good here. The wait staff are sometimes seemingly miserable and unfriendly. On quite a few occasions my orders have been messed up. At times slow. Bathroom is always unpleasant. read more

I absolutely adore this restaurant!! The quality of the food is beyond compare and is delicious! It is quite fresh and any issues with any part of my visit were handled swiftly and completely. Their onion soup is to die for! The only problem is- my husband knows how much I love this and has upped the ante and now makes onion soup at home that truly rivals what PB serves. The price is a little high, but in this case, you truly do get what you pay for!! Would enthusiastically recommend this yummy place!! read more

Great spot. One of the cleanest Panera Bread restaurants that I have encountered. The food was fresh and very good. I will definitely return. read more

Food typical Panera, good, fresh, sort of sloppily executed. Service kind of stunk. I'm disabled and they didn't have a tray for me to transport my food from the counter to my table. Spill hazard! They did carry my mother's lunch to the table. I was worried I would have to make two trips. read more

Panera is a franchise type soup, salad and sandwich place that does not offer table service. You order from a wall menu then bus your own meal to a table. They offer a selection of pastry and breads, bagels and coffees including cappuccinos lattes and frozen drinks. The atmosphere is quite airy with sunny windows and small booths and tables in several rooms, perfect for a quiet chat with a friend or a group meal. The place is kept clean and they have a nice gas fireplace in the center to sit near in chilly weather. Everything here is assembled with fresh ingredients. I do not believe that the soups are made fresh on premises. I think they are purchased in huge sealed bags and reheated, but they taste fine. The sandwiches are assembled from precut meats and grilled, salads assembled from fresh lettuce and other ingredients. The quality is good and the people work hard to get your food out fast. Their selection of iced teas is unique as I know nowhere else carries acai berry or hibiscus tea. If you are vegan or veg you have somewhat of a better selection than most places as they carry a vegan soup nearly every day, black bean, veg or squash and it is labelled on the menu with a green V. The salads are fresh and you can request they drop cheeses. They have vegetable sandwiches. Still no soy or almond milk, just bovine, but sugar helps. With each meal you get a quarter of a very crusty bread baguette, to dip in soup and they sell them in their bakery section. I asked once what they do with unsold bakery items and they don't dumpster it, they donate it to a local food pantry or church group. I'll continue to eat here. read more

Me and my husband went there today for lunch and both ordered the chicken Alfredo tortellini. It was pretty disappointing. It wasn't mixed well because some of the tortellini was all dried up and sticking together with hardly any sauce on it. The portion was very small for what you paid. It almost seemed like it was something that you would pull out of the freezer and microwave with canned chicken thrown on top of it. We regret that we could've just went down the road to Chili's and got better and more food for probably just about the same price as we paid today at Panera. The baguette was very good though & we were glad there were different flavored teas to pick from, instead of just soda. Overall, we were pretty disappointed. If I ever go back there, I would order an overpriced sandwich and not another overpriced tiny entrée like that again. We only went there because our restaurant options were very limited because it is Easter Sunday. read more

The food here is terrible. I ordered a Ham and Swiss sandwich and only asked the ham and cheese. However, whenever I got my meal, there was mayonnaise, lettuce, and a weird slimy substance on the ham. read more
