I stumbled into Just Kitchen by accident while looking for a different restaurant that had closed…read more-- turns out it was a happy coincidence because I happened to be craving a chicken shawarma wrap. Ordering was simple and convenient with a touchscreen setup at the counter, though I do think having a menu posted on the wall would make it even easier for first-time visitors. The wrap itself was huge, which was a nice surprise. Visually, it looked great -- definitely Instagram-worthy. But taste-wise, it didn't quite live up to the presentation. The chicken was a bit tough and messy to eat, and I only made it through half before calling it quits. The space itself was minimalistic in decor. Overall, I'm glad I gave it a try, but it probably won't return.

I've been to this location a few times, but this is my first time leaving a review. I really like…read morethat they have the carbs and calories listed on the menu and that they offer healthier options. I usually get the sweet potato fries and a burger without the bread, so I get it as a lettuce wrap. The fries are always good, and I really like the sauce too. I also like their pizzas, including the frozen ones. My main issue lately has been the burger patty. I assume they make the patties in house because the size seems to be different every time, but the last couple of times I've gone, the patty has been extremely small. It was more like a little meatball than a burger patty, which is disappointing when you're ordering a cheeseburger. If they are making the patties by hand, I think they could really benefit from weighing or measuring each patty so they are more consistent. I still like the healthier options and some of the food here, but the burger quality has definitely gone downhill for me the last couple of visits.

I tried this restaurant at the Asian Street Food Festival on Wednesday and was absolutely blown…read moreaway by their Turkey Burnt Ends Stir Fry. They also offer it in their frozen meal prep section, which makes it an easy go-to meal option. One of the servers told me it includes brown rice, turkey burnt ends, edamame, carrots, green onions, sesame seeds, and Korean BBQ sauce. Not only are the ingredients surprisingly nutritious, but the combination is incredibly flavorful and satisfying. This was easily one of my favorite things I tried at the festival, and I'll definitely be making a trip to their Tinseltown location soon to add it to my regular rotation. Side note: I'll upload a better photo once I grab a full-size portion -- this was the festival serving size!

Bright, clean and has the character of a great local, family owned restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and informative. You order at the register where you can see the clean and busy kitchen directly behind. Your food is then brought out to you and everything is made fresh. There are Coke products in a soda fountain and a refrigerator with sodas, beer and wine. We ordered the Vegetarian Platter. First, the best hummus and tahini in the area. The falafel is fantastic along with the gyro. I wasn't expecting the fries to be so amazing but they were crispy and seasoned so well. Everything hit, and this is a new go-to for us. If you're anywhere near Arlington and want great Mediterranean food, you must try Tabouleh. One of Jacksonville's best to me.

Standouts on the platter were the warm grape leaves, the hummus, and the tabouleh salad. The falafel was tasty but a bit greasy. The spinach pie had great flavors but would have been better served warm. The pita was warmed and great for dipping in that delicious hummus. I have a new favorite hummus in Jacksonville. My chicken shawarma wrap was filled with chicken and so well seasoned. I have half left for another meal. The fries were crinkle cut but cooked crispy with a seasoning, really liked them. The place had seating options inside and outside too.

My husband and kids absolutely love middle eastern food so we decided to give this place a shot today. We ordered the beef shawarma and the lamb kofta plate, and wow, they did not disappoint! My 8-year-old completely crushed the entire shawarma, and my 13-year-old was obsessed with the lamb and rice. Plus, the hummus was so creamy and delicious. My 1 year old loved the rice It's a super cute, family-owned spot. The mom was working the register--such a sweet lady--and she's there working right alongside her husband and three boys. Such a beautiful family, and everyone was incredibly kind. We are definitely going back! Damaskino

Definitely wasn't expecting to like it that much. I even stepped outside my comfort zone and tried the grape leaves, and they were pretty good too. The lamb had great flavor and was seasoned really well. My only complaint is that I wish it had been a little more tender. Other than that, everything was on point. I ordered this for delivery, so I can't really speak on the customer service, but I will say the food was still fresh by the time it got to me. Me, my son, and my girlfriend all enjoyed it.

Several reviewers have suggested Lily European Kitchen…read moreRestaurant is a hidden gem in Jacksonville. And I completely agree. This restaurant is in an unassuming strip shopping center in Jacksonville's Southside area on Southside Boulevard. The owner and chef hail from Ukraine and are presenting some of their native foods to diners in Jacksonville. The restaurant is small. 7 tables including several booths. It's an intimate setting and the perfect place for a date night. My dining companion and I visited on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. The restaurant was not crowded. I can see how it might be in the evening. We ordered the pierogies and sausages, which is served with sour cream and topped with crispy fried onions. We also ordered the Cheburki, a large empanada made from pastry dough stuffed with ground chicken and onions - a traditional Eastern European street food favorite. The Cheburki is served with a green salad. Both entrées were well cooked and delicious. Although we shared them, it was definitely enough for two people. There's lovely music playing in the background that adds to the ambience and I believe they have fairy lights hanging from the curtains that would add to a completely romantic mood for evening meals. The owners were completely hospitable and welcoming! We thought that the addition of Italian specialties on the menu was unusual but later learned that not everyone wants to venture out and try Ukrainian food. So this is a way to appeal to the less adventurous diner. Service was spot on and we will return!!

I really REALLY wanted to like this place because it's such a cute little Eastern European cafe,…read morebut unfortunately the food was terrible. First, the mozzarella salad that's pictured on Yelp with balls of fresh mozzarella isn't what you actually get. It was shredded mozzarella and the lettuce was brown and wilted, not very appetizing. The service was decent but they definitely microwaved the food because I heard it go off multiple times in the hour I was there. If I wanted to eat microwaved food, I would have just ate at home.

This place is well run, with women servers on a mission for excellence: people are seated promptly and are seen by their server quickly. Here are some things that I noticed about this place: -the family bathroom was clean, well-lit, and (thank god) did feature a coat rack! *this is important for purses*, changing station, and railing on the door and walls to assist our friends who need extra support. -the grits were HOT, buttered and delicious, very simple recipe with cheddar cheese and my addition of salt & pepper, best restaurant grits ever (and I'm generally underwhelmed by grits from every restaurant) -I was able to sub turkey sausage for my topping in the Secret Bene dish was met with a smile and agreeance. No pork on this fork -if you want to dine with ease, come here the seating in the general dining area is built for tables of 2-4 patrons, semi-closely spaced but the larger tabletops are sequestered into their own section. This seating plans allows for smaller parties to be tended to quickly and redirects the noise and collaboration needed to tend to a larger table top away from others' dining experience. I am delightfully pleased to say that they need to bring back this classic American dining practice of partitioning of space for a larger tables.
