I had the best experience from this Panera location. I had mouth surgery and sent my son for an online order of thier amazing broccoli and cheese soup. Unfortunately the drive thru worker recharged my son for my soup because he didnt notice I had already paid online. My son didn't question it and just paid again. Once he got home and I told him I had also paid- I called up there to explain the blunder (that really was just miscommunication). I only expected a refund from the online order but was received with higher than expected customer service. Not only did the manager do the most prompt refund I've ever had, but im Lou of my week long expected soup diet- she left me a voucher for 2 more bowls of soup.for the inconvenience. Management needs to be replaced or retrained. I've been a loyal Panera customer for over fifteen years, but this location is always the worst. It's chaotic even during slow times. The place is consistently dirty, and staff seem either untrained or not supported by management. Interactions between customers and staff often become tense and unprofessional. This last order I purchased a fruit cup that is supposed to weigh 5oz's and include strawberries and blueberries. I'm torn because the Cranberry, Walnut Chicken Salad sandwich was absolutely delicious, but I can't help but think I was taken advantage of in the drive-through! The sandwich was Incredibly small!! I wanted only a half sandwich, but I feel as though I got a quarter.... I've noticed the reviews tend to mention overly small sized portions when they are delivered or received through the drive-through, so I can't help but feel as though they are intentionally selling the undersized product in this way. My bread was clearly cut from the edge of a round loaf and wouldn't have been placed in a plate because of its ridiculous size, so just wrap it up and send it through the drive-through. I've noticed numerous instances of under sized bagels being sold this way too (see the other reviews).... I think this location has a quality control issue. Usually when you go to a chain restaurant, you know what to expect. Sadly not the case with this location. Our meals were good, and I enjoyed my salad. But the restaurant is very run down. The restrooms need a refresh. The outdoor furniture paint is worn off, and the whole place just looks tired. :( Also, this is not on them but it seems like Panera has cut back their Rewards program. Now it takes 6 visits to earn a reward, and all I got was $1 off a meal. Bring back the free cookie! They taste so much better than the ones I pay for! :D read more

I decided to stop by Panera's for a light lunch while I studied a new lifestyle. Instead of my usual drive-thru routine or rapid pickup, I dined in using their new table-side ordering system from their App. The Panera App allows me to first find the perfect table; get settled; then place my customized order using the table number and wait for the staff to deliver your food. As soon as I entered the establishment it felt different. More organized than prior experiences. Management and the staff was friendlier and extremely helpful as soon as I walked in. As I am sitting at my table, eating and studying, I overheard who I assumed was the manager of this location discreetly explain ways he could adjust an employee's time. I assume this person had quite a few occurrences. He also mentioned how things operate at his store location. No, the manager wasn't loud. He pulled the employee to a secluded area of the store facing away from customers. I believe I have radar ears. The managers ethics made me realize, the higher ups (headquarters) applied action to the complaints and reviews from customers. Now, they have implemented noticeable strategies to improve this particular store. This visit changed my opinion about this Panera location. The staff readily bussed tables, asked if they could take away empty plates, and made sure the customers was okay even when I almost lost my balance on an unnoticeable piece of ice near the drink fountain area. read more

This Panera was very dirty. Floors had stuff all over the carpet (gross...why would you carpet a restaurant floor?!?) tables were dirty and not wiped. Trash was over flowing and when my husband went in the mens room, there was not only no soap, there was no soap dispenser on the wall. It was off. So how are the male employees washing their hands!?! I called the Cs number to complain and they gave me a $5 gift card. Today I gave them a second chance and I'm horrified by my experience. The kid at the window through the speak said hold on while I check. After 15 minutes had passed and I was stuck between two cars in the driveway, I waited to pull up to the window and he said he still couldn't locate my order. I got out and went to the rapid pickup to see my order ready and getting colder by the minute. I spoke with the manager and gave my complaint. This is one of our go to places when we can't decide on where to go. We love ordering online and using the rapid pick up feature. They are fast and convenient. The restaurant is always clean when we go and the staff is friendly. This visit we used the kiosk to order breakfast. We prefer this to talking to people as we make a ton of changes to our orders. It is easier and the chances that we will forget something or they will get something wrong is less. When you order at the kiosk you can have them bag it up and pick it up at the rapid pick or delivered to you table. We waited for our food near the rapid pick up and watched it name go from "preparing" to "ready" on the screen that show the progress. Once it was dinner I watched them double check everything in our order to be sure it was correct. The food was delicious and no complaints from anyone in my family. read more

Although I frequent this location quite often (as a matter of fact, this was my 3rd morning in a row), my experience today was all kinds of wrong. Cashier rang me up under a completely different person's account. I then brought this up to the cashier and manager at the pickup counter as my visit didn't count under my own account, to which the cashier didn't seem to explain it properly and the manager seemed confused. So after I explained what happened, the manager was so kind as to apply the visit to my account. However, once I got to work, I realized that my breakfast sandwich was wrong (ordered bacon, over easy egg, cheese on everything bagel with onions, spinach and garlic aioli) as it was missing the bacon and had tomatoes and folded egg. I didn't realize the mistake until after I got to work. At that point, I call and speak to the same manager and asked for a refund. I asked her what information she would need as the transaction was under a different person's account. After giving her my card info, she told me the refund was processed and mentioned the amount, which at first I thought was incorrect but just wanted to go about my day. However, after checking my account, I realized she processed a refund for my visit from the day before. Although it was only a difference of about 50 cents, I was still upset and was going to call back. However, I've decided it wasn't worth my time and that a review of my experience would be more beneficial and helpful for others. I hope the result of this is that your employees get better training: i.e. confirming account names and reading back the order details before ringing up a customer. END RANT. read more

Over the past few months this location has degraded; not in appearance but in staff and service. Everyone in there looks miserable. No one really smiles or greets you anymore when you enter. My last encounter drew the line for me. I will not be returning to this location. I placed a rapid pick up order in the morning to bring to work for lunch. I noticed my order was missing a bag of chips so I stepped up to the counter and said "excuse me." The two staff behind the counter did not acknowledge me (I thought I said it too softly so I repeated myself). After FOUR times, the lady ask how she could help. I politely told them they forgot my bag of chips and if I could get one. She didn't answer and reached down to grab the bag of chips. I see her movement and proceeded to extend my hand out to grab the bag. She THROWS AND SLIDES THE BAG ACROSS THE COUNTER. Complete disregard to my outreach. A few angry words were exchanged on my end but her actions were unprofessional and beyond RUDE! After I left, I called and spoke to a manager who failed to fix the matter. Of course he apologized and said he would talk to his staff. I couldn't care less if they reimburse my money or give me a free sandwich, but the fact that he made no attempts to offer service recovery was really disappointing. read more

The menu board and the outside of the pick up window could use some attention. Why is it that the inside of the restaurant gets cleaned but nobody ever cleans the pick up window area or outside menu board (where you place your order). It's dirty! Although my rating is based on my entire list of experiences at this Panera, I certainly have to admit that it's clear they are working on improving things. There has been an unfortunate amount of times that I went for just a bagel and cream cheese and left with half of my order (and no one likes a dry bagel). The past few times I've been here, however, have either been perfect or they have been happy to make it right. I love the ambiance in the restaurant both in the morning and evening. Perfect lighting for an evening bowl of French onion soup! If you're there for breakfast, I've got to recommend the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel which I slather cream cheese onto. Panera will probably always be one of my top go to spots for lunch. The ease with their online ordering system, rapid pick-up, as well as offering delivery makes them hard to compete with. I love how each order can be customized to the individuals preferences! This particular location is my all time favorite because they tend to not mess up my order the most! A few people in my office have food allergies and this location always makes sure to get the modifications on the orders correct so no one has to lose out on a meal. I love that their fall menu is up and running again! If you haven't tried the autumn squash soup yet, do ASAP! It's the perfect mix of savory and sweet. I've tried to recreate it so many times at home but just can't seem to get it as perfect as Panera's! The turkey apple cheddar is also one of my favorite fall menu items. The cranberry walnut bread mixed with the mustard horseradish sauce is to die for! It feels like thanksgiving in every bite. The Apple tucked sneakily into their is a great way to make the sandwich a little bit healthier too! With so much variety in the menu and so many modifications, Panera has something for every picky eater. It has everything and more an office lunch could ask for! read more

I ordered the Mediterranean chicken bowl with an egg What looks like the manager with dark auburn hair didn't know how to ring up the egg and asked the other girl to do it. I never received my egg or the chicken I had to turn around from my lunch break during my work shift to try to Resolve the issue they never gave me a receipt either. They tried to tell me it was just the regular bowl and to reprint the receipt and they didn't but I definitely told them I wanted an egg and you guys wasted about 25 min of my lunch break to tell me I have to pay for the egg which you couldn't even ring it up right the first time. I came to this location and I placed two orders in the app. An associate said she did not see my order and if I was at the right store. I come to this location every day as it is close to my home. 8 minutes to be exact. My charged lemonade was free due to my unlimited sip subscription. I wasted gas, time, and money for a small broccoli mac and cheese. I ordered for my kids and chips. I drove there and left with no food. $7 for someone to say do I have the right store. She works there and can't locate peoples orders. I usually walk in and pick up my order. Crazy part I visited yesterday evening and that associate handed me my charged lemonade no problem. So I came and ordered LITERALLY $24 worth of fast food soup/salad combo. I buy here ALL the time. When I ordered, I was informed that they were out of bread, as a side... which is what I ALWAYS get with my soup. So I asked if I could have a different type of bread as a replacement.. like a bagel, sandwich bread, etc.. ANY bread. They flat out refused and told me that I could buy it instead of replacing the side I pay for that they are out of. The manager, Chelsea, wouldn't even authorize it and was sarcastic about it. I grew up in the restaurant business and no way would we ever treat our customers like that. A restaurant is in the ACCOMMODATION business. They made no accommodations and don't even value their customers at this location. Then, I drive away and my $6 latte isn't even Luke warm.. shame. I never write reviews on businesses unless I had an extraordinary experience.. and that would be on the BBB. But this is the 2nd time in a week that I was treated subpar. Bad reviews are what happens when you treat your customers like they are not your bread and butter... no pun intended... They have a very good flat bread pizza there. However, this location we got a large bowl of macaroni and cheese with broccoli, and the bowl was not even half full. I said this is a large? They said yes. For $9 you can't even fill the bowl? I can buy a bag of pasta for $1, add some frozen broccoli . And cheese and make my own and feed a family for $9. This location also had someone who was sitting at the outside table, homeless, walk in completely fine, didn't buy anything , and probably went and shot up, and came out high as a kite, she came out stumbling all over the place, and went back and sat down, taped her feet up with duct tape, also her flip flops, and then we saw her near the chick fila, with a sign saying she can't walk and needs first aid care. Someone gave her a dollar and she walked to the car to grab it fine. Another plus is that their wifi is fast and it is centrally-located to many other thoroughfares and businesses in the area of Jacksonville where it is located. Their coffees are also excellent, and in most locations service has been perfect, too. I really hate 1 staring, but man- I'm paying for something I could just as easily do at home- eat. So, yeah I have an expectation. Order process was strange, our order person literally walked away mid order and another gentleman finished it. Well, it was wrong. We ordered bowls of soup not cups. The drink machine was dripping water all over out of the ice drop. Kinda gross, the Rootbeer didn't work, the Pepsi ran out half way through filling the first cup. My wife ended up getting some hibiscus brew that tasted like a wet wash cloth. Our flat breads were really crappy. The sauce tasted like chef boyardee ravioli sauce we've eaten the flat breads many times and they never tasted like this. Literally had to clean our own table off, as every table had spills or crumbs from previous customers. They definitely weren't short staffed. There were more associates than guests. I don't get it, this place used to get 5 stars from me all the time. Oh god, don't ask about the bathrooms- filthy and the whole dining room had a dirty urine type smell.
