I like Panera. I'm a "sip club" member. I ordered a half sandwich of Smokehouse BBQ Chicken today with a salad. When I took a bite, I tasted a lot of bread. When I opened up the sandwich, it was a complete disaster. It looks like it was put together by a kindergarten student. This needed more chicken. Please don't insult the customers by giving teaspoon portions.

Decent Panera location with an okay atmosphere and standard decor. I prefer the location in Aspen Hill, MD much more after their renovations so now I have this mindset in which all Panera's must match that ambiance. My go-to is usually the Pick-2 (Turkey bacon bravo with a side of pickle, southwest chile lime salad and a bag of chips). Everything tasted pretty fresh even near closing time so I really appreciate that. I'm always concerned whether or not the avocados will turn brown after a whole day but I was really happy knowing that my food looked and tasted great. I usually do mobile ordering at this location so I can't comment on service, however the employees here are super friendly and attentive. They acknowledge you and jump right on your order almost immediately. It's usually pretty empty inside, but I do see a few people on their laptops doing work, or last minute dinner grabbers like myself eating before closing. Overall, decent experience and would recommend.

This location I have visited numerous times for different items. The lack of consistency is amazing. Flat muffins and barely cut bagels is what you receive there. The only good item out of the 10 times i have been there in 5 years is the pizza. I just totally give up with this location and the other Germantown location isn't any better.

I have both worked and dined at this Panera Bread location. Work wise, this place gets 0 stars, the manager at the time had an affinity for sliding things under the rug and allowing any and all awful things to continue happening at this location. Food and service wise this location deserves 2.5/3 stars. The cashiers are ALWAYS rushed and rushing you in return. Even if there is no one behind you they stand at the register calling next until you decide to hastily order something, ANYTHING!! The food and line staff are always really quick and great at what they do. Although my dad did order a Caesar salad once and got a garden salad instead. The food is pretty fresh here, Panera standard food but it's always fresh at this location. No wilted salads or soggy breads in my experience so pretty good. Tables are usually dirty bc people love to leave their dishes and they don't get cleaned fast enough. Pretty subpar experience here.

I liked coming here for lunch when I worked, but after today, I'm seriously reconsidering. I ordered a You Pick Two, with Baja Mac and a Turkey/Avo BLT. The mac I ordered EXTRA Avo, NO pico. When I got it there was a ton of Avo, but it also had pico in it. When I asked for it to be fixed, I got no apology. The girl fixing the food didnt even hand it to me, and instead slapped it on the cashier counter for the cashier to hand to me. This time there was BARELY any Avo whereas I had paid extra for it. Nice to know you get punished and cheated out of money for THEIR mistake. I ordered the BLT sans Bacon. Surprised the employee that couldn't read "no pico" COULD read "no bacon," so at least that was correct. They also skimped me on Avo on the sandwich, as the photo clearly shows. Staff was rude and unwilling to apologize for a mistake they made.

Not crowded at 6ish on a weeknight.

The sound of Chinese pop music plays quietly in the…read morebackground just enough you can still hear the lyrics but also the conversation from nearby tables. The dining area is one room, from what I could see, but very clean. You can see the kitchen where there are stacks of steamer baskets used for the soup basket. Some table had printed drinks menu but we got a handwritten one. All the menus are laminated and you're given a whiteboard marker to mark what you would like to order. We ordered some appetizers/snacks along with soup dumplings and the crispy coconut shrimp balls. Shortly after ordering, the side dishes and appetizers appeared. The dough sticks were a simple beige food for the child who happily munched on it. It's a fried dough sticks that didn't seem too greasy. Each half can still break into two smaller sticks for smaller bites. Traditionally it's paired with soy milk but we had already ordered a lot of food. The cucumber garlic salad was crispy, flavorful, and slightly sweet. Little threads of carrot added a bit of textural difference and color. The garlic provided a small bite without overpowering the fish. It's a kid-friendly dish as long as they are okay with cilantro! This is a must order. The scallion pancake with beef with also a huge hit. It's crispy and flaky (but not crumbly) and it's served with slices of beef, what appeared to be some sweet sauce (hoisin maybe?) and thinly shredded scallions. It was similar to Peking Duck but with a scallion pancake and beef instead of the thin pancake and duck. The thinly shredded scallions add a bit of a kick and freshness that counteracts the oil from the scallion pancake. The coconut-crispy shrimp balls were a huge hit. This dish was whole, headless, fried shrimp tossed in a sweet sauce then dusted with shredded coconut, served with some slices of pineapple. It reminded us a bit of mayo-shrimp dishes but with coconut. An order of the chicken soup dumplings were placed just because most of the soup dumplings contain pork. It was recommended over the other non pork shrimp and zucchini dumplings. They don't seem very hot until you get your first big bite. Took a nibble, drank some of the broth, and then with a bigger bite realized there was still more broth! Ginger, soy sauce, and chili crisp/oil is available on the table, but the juicy soup dumplings were perfect on their own. The steamer of rainbow dumplings was also quickly devoured with the black truffle (pork), mala spicy pork, and shrimp/zucchini being the favorites. Each soup dumplings had its own unique taste. Upon hearing the shrimp/zucchini was liked because it was refreshing, an order of those were also placed. Once they arrived, I had to agree they were very good. They have a different taste and texture and even though I thought the chicken was good, I found myself quickly devouring the steaming soup dumplings. While we ate, our drinks were constantly refilled and we were asked if we needed anything, even ginger slices. With the clean, prompt, service that comes along with delicious foods, we're bound to come back to try the other foods!

That said, I probably wouldn't come back. I felt extremely thirsty after getting home, which made me think the dishes were pretty heavy on MSG. They also forgot the wide noodles we ordered and only brought them out later. By then, they hadn't been cooked together with the tomato broth, so it completely missed the essence. In terms of value, we only ordered three set meals plus one extra wide noodles, and the total came out to over a hundred. For what we got, the value felt pretty average. We then went to another restaurant in the next day, ordered six dishes plus drinks, and still spent less --with much more variety in flavors.

I got the Scallion Oil Noodles - chewy, hand pulled noodles in a smooth oil dressing. Pair it with the chili oil kimchi for a nice contrasting crunch. My favorite, however, was the Tofu with Century Egg Salad - a small bowl with cubes of soft tofu and quartered century egg and chili oil. Lots of textures and tastes thrown into a tiny little bowl. Be careful - as proof that this place is authentic, their "vegan" vegetable tofu noodle soup is served in beef broth. But once you hammer out the details of the ingredients, the taste is worthwhile. Plenty of others feel the same way - we arrived when they just opened for the day, so we got a seat, but by the time we left, there was a line out the door.
