First the floor is dirty, and the lady who is cleaning dirty plates and emptying half eaten food in the trash is also emptying the trash liners AND SERVING the food to your table without missing a beat. I've ordered drive-thru plenty of times and they always forget the apple in the Fuji apple chicken! Went inside and ordered to-go. No apple on the Fuji Apple chicken. This is getting ridiculous. So my wife and I absolutely love the Panera Bread chain... However this particular one was probably my worst Panera experience to date. While our cashier was very much so a pleasant and accommodating person, our food runner was rather young, untrained and rude. We came in about 15 minutes till closing and our cashier told us to take our time eating. I was eyeing so many items on the menu but finally settled on the classic lunch of grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was a total waste of $9(!!). The soup is advertised as creamy but it's just full of huge tomato chunks and I couldn't even finish it. I could have made a way better grilled cheese at home (and mine aren't even that great, so it says a lot). Panera has gotten really overpriced and the food quality seems to have gone down. I should have gotten the other items I was looking at instead. I just didn't think a popular soup and sandwich spot could mess up a classic THAT badly. Just for the record this is my first negative review in my entire life.. I originally tried panera bread in Oregon, it was heaven for sure.. This panera, not so much. First I tried the turkey bravo... Soggy with way too much mystery sauce. Then I went back a month or so later asking for it toasted and light on the sauce and well I got the same crap. Today I went in thinking maybe breakfast items would be better.. NOPE! I purchased the cheese breakfast bagel and a cherry pastry. The bacon tasted worse then microwave kind. Bagel was burnt yet somehow soggy in the middle. Eggs were gross. Also somehow the pastry even suck ed. Parts of it were stale and it seemed to have more lemon glaze then usual. So yea this place sucks. It's overpriced and a huge let down in general... Never again! read more

Normally I would compliment Panera. You should get what u pay for. Nobody wants watered down broccoli and cheddar soup. Certain days of the week this place is not functioning at its best. Great experience and food. We weren't looking for anything special just a light dinner. This is definitely the place for it! I got the pick two; southwestern flatbread and broccoli cheddar soup. Soup was creamy and filling. While the flatbread was full of flavor. To top it off we learned that they give all their unused cooked/baked products to the nearby soup kitchen and homeless shelter. Cripes! I forgot my OWN ADVICE on a previous review. I ordered the BF egg & bacon sandwich. When I cut it in half...once again the bacon was NOT cooked! I sent it back & it was re-done...just barely! The management changed at this location and the service has really suffered. On more than one occasion they have run out of broccoli cheddar soup just before lunchtime. They didn't bother to figure this out until they had already sold it to us and we were seated. The apple they served had a large hole in the top that was discolored. To be honest, I love panera bread, however this location is BY FAR THE WORST!!! Is it possible to screw up you order every time you come??? Why yes it is!!! Every time I leave here I literally think to myself, " why did I come back"?? First off, the drive thru takes FOREVER!!!! Then you know when you go to a regular panera and you get a pick 2 and they ask you if you would like chips, bread, or apple, well at the Everett location if you go through the drive thru they just put whatever they want in you bag on top of taking forever! Then one time I ordered salad and they put a spoon in mg bag!! Who eats salad with a spoon!?! The ONE TIME actually went inside to eat, it took them forever to take my order because they more engaged in talking with their coworkers! Then, they got out order wrong and brought us someone else's food! Then, when they finally brought us our correct food, we had ordered a smoothie that we waited sooo long for that we had to get up from our table and ask about it!!! And then after they figured it out, they brought us this half melted smoothie that looked liked it had been sitting somewhere neglected for 20 min! And didn't offer to make a fresh one even though it was CLEARLY their fault! One time I went through the drive thru for lunch and didn't find out till I got to where I was going, that they didn't even put one of the sandwiches that I ordered in the bag! Then, the very LAST time I was there, they didn't give me my drink AGAIN!!!!!! Enough is enough! I am completely boycotting this location and NEVER going back! I LOVE Panera, don't get me wrong. Yes, they are expensive, but not when you consider the quality and freshness of the ingredients. However, with that being said, the Everett Mall Way Panera is by far the WORST location in the Seattle area. Nearly every single time I have ordered from them, my order has been wrong. Whether it be the wrong food altogether, missing food, wrong size (half salad included when an full size was paid for), or missing key ingredients (like the apples in a fuji apple salad...), they just can't seem to get their stuff straight at this location. My office frequently uses Panera for lunch during our monthly staff meetings because of their wide variety of choices. We have been burned time and time again with this location, and finally learned our lesson when we placed an online order at 9am for a 11:30am pick-up (for 14 people) and it wasn't ready when we got there. In fact, they hadn't even started it. Our meeting, which lasts from 12:00-1:00, did not have any food until 12:55pm. I guess it's our fault for continuing to give this location a chance, but no more. We have tried to reach the store manager and no one in the restaurant would let us talk to him. Shame on us for trying to give constructive feedback I suppose. From now on, we will make the drive to the Alderwood Mall and get our lunch there! read more

I like Panera for what it is, fast, relatively healthy options. I go to the Edmonds location and the Alderwood mall with no issues. Because I work in Everett I have tried using the drive thru occasionally. 4 out of 5 times something is incorrect in my order. Something on my salad that was asked to be left off, wrong side, wrong soup, hot coffee instead of iced, etc. The coffee of course I realized right away, but took it anyway since I have a short lunch break and didn't have time to wait. The other things I didn't realize until getting back to work. I stopped going, but after about a year I thought it might have turned around. I ordered the "rapid pickup" online because I wanted to make a couple minor changes to a sandwich and figured that was a safe way to make sure it got entered correctly. Nope, still had mayo, no mustard added, and no bottle of orange juice. (My fault for not checking the bag for the drink, but the bag was folded down with a piece of tape and the receipt attached where I could clearly see the orange juice on it). I'm giving them one star not because of the quality of the food but for the service and an off-putting experience. Here goes... I went to this Panera location yesterday morning and used the drive through. The print was so small under the types of bagels that I had to ask what flavors they had only to be told by the drive through attendant that the only specialty bagels they had were pumpkin pie and cranberry something. I told him that there appeared to be a list of bagels on the sign and that I just couldn't read them as they were too small and he said those were the only specialty bagels so reluctantly I just spouted off what basic flavors I thought they should have and then he said "we don't have that but we have these other basic flavors..." and I told him that's what I just asked! He still sounded confused so I ordered the flavors I heard him say then moved forward to pay. THIS IS WHERE I WANTED TO LEAVE & NOT PAY because the guy that reached out for my payment had these huge wart looking things on ALL OF HIS FINGER TIPS and he was NOT WEARING GLOVES and should have been!!! I reluctantly paid, dropped my card in my cup holder and promptly used hand sanitizer. Then I watched to make sure he wasn't the one putting together my order and he didn't appear to be (thank God) and when he brought my order to the window, AGAIN he wasn't wearing any gloves! I reached for the part of the bag he wasn't touching then sanitized again before I drove off. This guy, with whatever condition he has, should be wearing gloves AT ALL TIMES, especially in a food environment. I really love the food at Panera. However, the service at this location is pretty terrible. I ordered a full size grilled sandwich, and the person working the window placed it in a bag that was too small for the cardboard carton holding the sandwich. The person working the drive through gave me my items, shut the window and walked away from the window. When I attempted to fix the sandwich, the cardboard container holding the sandwich wasn't actually closed. The sandwich fell apart inside of my car and on my lap. I tried to get the attention of the three or four people working in the store, but was ignored. It was so hot that I had to drop the pieces of my order in the drive through. When I called, the manager did let me speak, which I appreciated. However, there was no "I'm so sorry", the manager just stated they would speak to the person working the drive through. I'm happy to pay the higher prices for better food, but I would also like to have the option to eat my sandwich rather than having it fall apart in my lap and my car. read more
