It's been a while since I've eaten at a Panera Bread. Hubby and I were looking for a light lunch option as we were passing through Easley. This PB is right off HWY 123/Calhoun Memorial Highway. There's plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and ordering was easy. We decided to have the "Pick2" option. I had 1/2 a Toasted Garden Caprese and Creamy Tomato Soup. The hubby had 1/2 a Turkey and cheese sandwich w/the Autumn Squash Soup. We had the option of having a side of chips, bread or an apple. We both chose an apple. Nothing fancy about the decor but lots of good food and drink choices. The hubby went back and got us brownies for dessert. Yum. Good choice - both for stopping and for the food. read more

Saturday our family decided on Panera, and we ordered it through the app. We are staying at a hotel, as we just moved to Easley, SC. When we got our order, delivered by Ronald, we were missing our sides, utensils, and napkins. The receipt showed these items checked off, but were not in the bag. I called, spoke to Kirsten who apologized and offered a Danish next time we were in. Today we were at Spectrum, our daughter wanted another Salad Stuffer, stopped in at Panera to order it. My husband & I met Mike the manager, and he knew about what happened to our Saturday order. Mike gave us the sides, although my apple turned into a baguette :) and a cherry turnover. We wanted to pay for our daughter's order, but he wouldn't let us. Mike apologized for the issue with our previous order, and said he wanted to make it right. I have NEVER had a bad bagel until today.....yuck! The Asiago cheese bagels don't even taste like a bagel... we can't even eat them. Tastes like spoiled dough that is hard on outside and uncooked on the inside. read more

On 2 different occasions I have been given the wrong amount of change (they didn't give me enough of my change back) and this was with the manager and another worker. I ordered an ice coffee with cream and sugar through the app and pulled through the drive thru bc I'm handicapped and it's the end of the day so my mobility is low and I'm in pain. Not that hard to get the order correct I would think because it's literally 3 things in a cup with ice. Got half way down the block and... No sugar. Ok... didn't want to wait on the long drive thru line again so I parked in the handicap spot and made my way inside. Get the sugar, add to my drink and see the manager right there so I limp over to let him know that there was no sugar in my coffee like I ordered it and he says, "yeah." I said that's it. I ordered ice coffee with cream and sugar... there was no sugar. He says yeah... People make mistakes all the time but when hen it happens a simple sorry is in order. While reading this keep in mind I paid $27 for this food. I went to the drive thru at the Easley location and ordered a chicken cordon bleu and a pepperoni and mozzarella melt sandwich. I get home and there's no chicken on the chicken cordon bleu so I called the restaurant and the girl said she would remake that sandwich. Ok. So I said well I need my whole order remade because by the time I bring the chicken cordon bleu back and get back home the other sandwich which is mine is going to be cold (the chicken cordon bleu is for my boyfriend that's on his way home from work). So she said she could only remake the sandwich they messed up. So after arguing with her about that which didn't get resolved and my boyfriend is eating a chicken cordon bleu with no chicken and no lettuce too cause they left that off the sandwich as well I asked why I got 2 pieces of bread with my sandwiches she said oh we were out of chips. What? Why didn't you tell me and I would have ordered some soup to go with the sandwiches? So now we have some half ass sandwiches with a side of bread. Also the pepperoni mozzarella melt is so dry I had to smother it in ranch dressing. Never will I return to that location or probably any other one. Save your money and just go to Subway. read more

Just as bad as my last review. Why I waste my money here is a mystery. 11/6 I went to this Panera with my daughter. She ordered her pick 2 and a drink. No problem . I then attempted to order my pick 2. My choice was the Signature Take Chicken sandwich and Mac & cheese. I was told I was unable to order the Signature Take Chicken sandwich because they were out of Brioche rolls. Um okay I'll just have it on a different bread. Wynter replied that I could not choose a different bread. She said I could eliminate the Parmesan crips or the garlic aioli but I could not choose a different bread. Are you kidding me?? Frustrated I just ordered a coffee. I go to pour my coffee and a bunch of coffee grounds come out. Unbelievable!! Get it together Panera. Indifferent cashier, who overcharged me for both meals, didn't give me the bread I wanted for my sandwhich, and a rude manager who refused to let me speak, verbally abused me in front of other customers, and wouldn't adjust my bill for what I was served or adjust my order for what I paid for. To boot, the fruit salad was half rotten and the tuna and chicken sandwiches had the consistency of a thin chili. This place has no reviews for lunch food more than a 1 star in over 2 years. The food here is always fresh and delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are filling and you can tell they make them per order. Nothing sitting around waiting to be served. The bakery is to die for. The have a ton of different things to pick from like bagels, muffins, cookies, strudels, and other pastries. The bagels are always good but I don't care for their cream cheese. It's all pre packaged single serve containers that aren't that great. The restaurant is always clean, the staff always extra friendly. They double check your order to make sure it's correct. Worst customer service ever. They just order you around. "Move over here", "put your pager in the basket", etc. Not one employee said "please", "thank you", "you are welcome" or "my pleasure". I also saw dirty tables at 12:15 pm on Monday, April 3, 2021 and about 3 employees just chatting with one another at the front area. I placed two orders at drive-thru. Second order contained two chocolate chips cookies. When I arrived at the window, I paid and was handed my food. Before I could ask any questions, the long, blonde-headed, young girl slammed with window shut. I sat and waited for her to notice I had not left. When she opened the window, I asked about the chocolate chip cookies. She told me in a smart manner that I would have to pay for those. I informed her I placed the order for the cookies when ordering the food. She turned to someone else in the background as to "what do I do now". Some guy came to the window and stated they do have have any cookies right now. To make matters worse, the young girl slammed with window shut again without saying "I'm sorry" or "can I get you something else". The rudeness was so over-bearing that it is doubtful I will return. You would think that since this location has so many great restaurants within walking distance that they would ensure that the food and service was incredible but they don't care. I guess the staff is upset that they were scheduled tonight. I would assume with Panera being a corporate company that they would have Customer Service training and a way to calibrate individual employees but if tonight was any indication, they do not. The food we ordered left a lot to be desired. My husband ordered the Chipotle Bacon Melt ( a full size) and a kids grilled cheese and we could not tell difference between the two, even after pulling them apart. Couldn't find bacon or different types of cheese and his full size sandwich was the same size as my toddlers. We also ordered the Mac and Cheese and it was obvious no one wanted to cook today so they gave us leftovers from last night, at least that's what they tasted like. For the amount we spent on 3 "meals" we should have just went to somewhere that was not fast food. My advice, there is a Longhorns, Moe's, Freddy's and Miyabi that are in the same area.... go there and get great food and better customer service for the same price as Panera! read more

I came here with friends yesterday. None of us live in this area, so none of us had previously been to this location. The food was good looking and even better tasting, as usual. What wasn't usual was the staff and managers' incredibly friendly nature. Got into good conversation sparked by two at the front registers, we were laughing, ended up shaking somebody's hand, the manager did me a favor when I asked about something in particular, and finally when leaving, the same two at the registers briefly made one last comment about our previous conversation earlier when we had been placing our orders, finally we all waved goodbye. I'm not the type of person to give reviews. Ever. I legit made this Yelp account specifically to write this. I had to for this because the people behind the counter were just amazing human beings. I recommend only being professional to your customers if you don't feel you can be friendly. If you can, I think most people always prefer when workers be themselves and talk casually as friends, just as these workers did. That's all. Typical Saturday morning- we left the house and decided that before we go to Sam's Club to shop we probably needed to put something on her stomach so that we did we didn't shop impulsively. We often forget about Panera so being in that same plaza with Sam's Club, so score for convenience! We arrived in the restaurant and were greeted by a very nice female cashier who promptly asked us what we wanted to order. Their smoothies are really awesome and very fresh and full of good nutritional stuff so we both opted for a smoothie - i got the super fruit and hubby ordered blueberry something . I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on brioche. I love how the spread looks really thick but it's actually quite light and airy much like a croissant just a different shape or texture. My husband ordered a sausage and egg on a croissant. What's really cool is that they serve their eggs over-easy unless you specify otherwise. I like this because I know than that I'm getting real eggs and not some type of an egg byproduct. We paid and they gave us our sensor so that we could go find a seat and wait for our meal to be ready. We enjoyed our experience there and we enjoyed the food that we received - it was all cooked wonderfully. Clean restaurant, good food and friendly staff - all positive- we will be back read more

Oh my. My husband and I had "breakfast" at the Panera in Covington, La., close to Interstate 12. We asked for scrambled eggs and bacon and were presented with a pre-made flat pancake that was steamed and served in a cup. It had no taste of a real egg. It was so awful that we could not eat it. When I complained, the manager on duty said that she did not care if I put this on Yelp. It was the worst breakfast I have ever had...steamed? Yes, indeed, confirmed by the manager. The restaurant was nearly empty. My classic salad had mixed greens that had been frozen. This left them mushy. I removed the cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions, which were fine. And took the full bowl of greens back. I explained and asked if I could have fresh lettuce. He brought me a bowl of stale romaine. I explained that I actually wanted to have fresh salad greens. He takes the bowl of romain and tops it with a bit of the old salad mix, and puts the dressing on the side. Same problem, no fix, no apology. They were not very busy for dinner on a Thursday.
