When you can get your kid to eat all of his food - then you keep that restaurant on the list for lunch options. My party had grilled cheese, broccoli cheese soup, classic tomato soup, 1/2 roasted turkey blt, and a few other sandwiches and salads. Chips, apples and bread were the sides - iced teas filled our cups. "You pick twos" were most of our choices and the amount of food was perfect. The care put into the prep and serve gives them this 4 star. One star is taken away because I believe they could use a few changes: 1) Pick up a little more. Just walk around and pick up stuff to tidy the place 2) change the drink station- The coffee area looks clean and neat - the soda and tea area looks like it needs a good cleaning (which actually goes for other PBs that I've visited.). The area is dark, the place where you are supposed to place your cup lid looks sticky and the lids and straws are place too far back from the counter. 3) Lastly since this place is popular, shift some workers to the cashiers to fill out the 3-4 registers avail. Basically my go-to when I'm in the Heights and I have some time to spare. Service and food quality are both on par with other Panera Bread locations (I've never had any issues with either). Panera offers many healthier alternatives to fast food, at a slightly higher price - but you certainly get what you pay for. I'd recommend using the self-checkout kiosks; you'll get a real feel for the number of options for plenty of menu items and I've always felt satisfied by the degree of customization available. The only bad experience I've had at this location was with the croutons served with a Caesar salad. Crunchy - not just crunchy like you'd expect, but I literally had to pick into it with my knife and hammer in to split one apart into bite-sized pieces. I'll consider that a one-off, as most of the items I've ordered are awesome by comparison (and their Caesar salads are still the bomb)! The restaurant is clean, staff members are friendly and efficient, seating has never been an issue, and I've always received my orders to my satisfaction. Recommendations? Go with the "You Pick Two" choices for good bang for your buck. Aside from the Caesar salad, try the french onion soup for a deep savory flavor or the half turkey bacon bravo sandwich for mellow flavor (it's very gouda)!. And, of course, I always end up wrecking the semi-healthiness of my meal with something from the bakery. The cranberry orange muffins are absolutely amazing (sharp citrus flavors, countered by sweetness). The cinnamon crunch scones are also a tasty treat, sometimes with bits of apple as a touch of surprise (but not always?). I've been to a lot of Panera locations in different states. All have left me with a pleasant experience. Not quite this one in particular. I found a hair in my broccoli cheddar soup. When I tried to call back no one answered. I let the phone ring until it disconnects. I know I'm calling during the operating hours and in between peak times like the recording says. I just wanted to let them know to throw out that batch of soup so that no one else finds one by surprise. There could be more than just one. Either way, I Won't be going back. read more

We tried online ordering. App gives you a 10 minute window for delivery, which is great. However, 40 minutes outside that window is totally unacceptable. We always enjoy the food at Panera. First of all I love Panera!! I plan on coming at least once a week. My food did not disappoint at all. It was quiet and I love the fact that there were booths open for my homework. Some of the staff seemed standoffish but there was one male who noticed I wasn't drinking my coffee, he asked me why and I said I was okay, but that it was too hot. When did Panera Bread become Panera "Cookie?" To buy a loaf of rye bread and a breakfast sandwich and there was nothing but white bread and cookies....tons and tons of cookies! Too many kiosks and not enough human contact...they ignore you while fussing around behind the counter--even glancing pointedly at the kiosks several times before finally calling, "Next guest, please!" It's a shame, really, used to be one of my delights--to have a day off and score a loaf of their incomparable rye bread for breakfast--my husband's 4 minute eggs... Nope. Just keep driving. I usually love Panera. This one seemed like a different franchise. The two girls taking orders seemed to be off in la la land and not hearing anything I said. My order was made completely wrong, I was charged for 2 pick 2 meals, and the girl next to me taking order laughed at her customer who was hard of hearing and wearing a hearing aid. This location is not handicapped accessible. I was told by the manager that none of their locations are. Despite the fact that my family eats there almost every week my requests to management have been ignored. I requested additional parking spots in front of their restaurant. The one spot inevitably is taken. Sometimes by a non-handicapped driver. No push automatic doors makes my sister getting into the restaurant a constant challenge. My family and I frequently visit this panera location. The staff is friendly and from what I can observe work hard. Nothing I dislike more then watching employees not work when I wait but this is never a problem here food is always up in a timely manner. There had been a few recent changes to the menu I don't 100% agree with but that is a corporate issue I don't hold against the store. The food is always good.
