I went today because of the great reviews. I should've known better when there were only 35 reviews that made it more than 4 stars. But I love a good cheesesteak! This is definitely not the place for a good cheesesteak. The steak part tastes like that frozen stuff you get at the grocery store. I had it with their house sauce but I couldn't really taste that because of bad it was overall. I will however say that I saw 2 guys eating the Oreo cake and it looked delicious. read more

I was awed by the epic serving size!!! Other folks tell you about extra meat. Then you're wondering, "Is this actually extra?" The 12" Bad as Philly was soooo EXTRA!!! I came back to town to visit my family (born and raised here), and this was the worst customer service I've had in the area. I ordered ahead with a 20-minute pickup. When I arrived, my food wasn't ready, and I stood there for over 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. Staff could clearly see me through the window by the grill, but they just laughed and talked instead of helping. The food was terrible. I ordered wings with two flavors. The wings were clearly frozen, pre-cooked fried chicken, smothered in sauce. I won't tell people not to try it, but I won't be wasting my money here again. Do better, it's not hard. You can order at the counter, you can order at the counter, you can order online. They cook every ticket to order and the food is FRESH!! It's a small space inside, but they move quickly. If you blink you will miss this small take out restaurant. You are able to order from a kiosk or online to speed up your service. They do have one table inside but this is a to go order establishment. They make it fresh after you place your order and they have an assortment of food to try on the menu. From wings, burger, seafood, gyros, to cheesesteaks! I order the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with a side of five wings. I also wanted to taste their french fries, which are steak fries, and they are delicious. The wings are extra crispy, with the hint of lemon pepper. The cheesesteak is just a basic cheesesteak, but it taste very good. I will come back and try something else on the menu at a later time. read more

Great lunch pick-up spot!! The sandwiches were huge, and I had leftovers for the next day. Wouldn't recommend coming here if you intend to dine-in, though, as they do not have seating or tables. The owner was very hospitable and helped each of us get exactly the sandwich that we wanted. I was thoroughly disappointed in Philly, but being from the DC area and having a general attitude of F Philly, I understood my bias. I happened to find myself in Colonial Heights VA for work this week and was hungry one late night. I checked for reviews of local places open and found myself here. Yelp usually leads you to the right place, and it didn't disappoint. My sandwich was amazing. The fries were ok/decent but the sandwich was outstanding. Highly recommended. Bad As Phillies is an amazing little Philly cheesesteak spot in Colonial Heights, less than 10 minutes from Virginia State University. My daughter tried their wings a few weeks ago and was instantly hooked so since we were in the area, we had to stop in. She ordered the BBQ wings and I ordered the basic "Philly" cheesesteak and boy oh boy, 10/10! The wings were seasoned to the bone and I love that they weren't overly coated with BBQ sauce (the sauce is Sweet Baby Rays). They were fried to golden brown so each bite had a nice crunch and the BBQ sauce added just the right amount of tangy sweetness. The cheesesteak was one of the best I've ever had. It's made with onions and includes mayo and obviously cheese but you can get an array of extra toppings on it as well. I love how they have many other options of cheesesteaks to choose from as well. Friendly Tip: We ordered our food when we got there, which was a Friday around 8pm, and we waited inside; however, the inside isn't very large and the longer we waited the more people showed up so I would order ahead to avoid having to wait in such a smaller area. read more

I am in town for training for a week. Decided to try some local restaurants and different food than we have where I live at. Got on here and found out about this Philly cheesesteak place decided to try it. I placed a to go order over the phone. They picked the phone up after a couple of rings, the ordering process was very easy and smooth. About 10 minutes later I drove over to the restaurant and paid in person. When I got there, the food was done and I was able to leave immediately. The service was quick and great. Now to the food. The cheesy fries were amazing. I love cheese so they had the perfect amount of cheese and also it actually tasted good. I have had cheese fries with the cheese had a weird taste to it, but this was not that. The fries were hot and crispy and I did not even have to ask for them to be. The cheesesteak was pretty good. I ordered the 777 Philly, which is cheesesteak and chicken with onions, mayo, and cheese. I got the 12 inch sandwich and it was more than enough food. They pile on the meat and cheese. You get your money is worth. With that being said it is not even that expensive for all of the food that I got I paid around $20 I believe and that was mainly because I got two drinks. Overall, I would come back and eat there again. There was no inside seating for a person to eat. I can tell they mainly have it as a order to go place and that works fine for them. read more

Ordered delivery and it came piping hot. We both had lamb gyros with grilled onions. The meat was very flavorful, but not much tzaziki on them. Pita was the perfect texture. We also had cheese fries. Ordered two chicken philly cheese subs with onion and lettuce and fries. Fries were good. My sub had a very very small amount of lettuce and onions and cheese on both subs tasted like cheap square school cheese. Subs had no flavor. Was very disappointed. this was terrible. asked for garlic parm boneless got frozen unseasoned balls of chicken. my cheesesteak had mushrooms and onions when i didn't ask for them and it didn't specify that on the menu and to top it off had a bone in lemon pepper and all i got were rubbery unseasoned barely fried wings.
