I assume someone called in sick, and the crew was stressed from being short staffed ... but they were audibly complaining, and their attitudes were snotty, belligerent and insulting. The woman in the register area refused to take orders while slowly performing her duties, and occasionally dropped disparaging remarks, such as "ain't nobody like him anyways." Lines backed out the door, mass confusion and anger spread and the server behind the counter shouted at customers. This place is awesome!!!! I always get food catered here for meetings and they are so nice. The bagels are reasonably priced and have great variety. They slice them for you so you don't have to worry about doing that. And they always have a great attitude. Their hazelnut coffee is amazing and you can get a big cardboard tub that services 8 to 10 people. Next time you are going to cater a breakfast meeting I highly recommend it. Convenient location, plenty of seating, and easy ordering! This Panera Bread is located in Barracks Road Shopping Center, so parking is convenient and the place is easy to get to. First thing I noticed was how many booths and tables there were. Great for groups or individuals! I also love how you can order in person or by the automatic self-order machines they have. It definitely speeds things up when lines are long. You basically place your order and pay at one of those machines near the counter and grab an electronic beeper with a number. Your food will directly be delivered to you at your table soon! Such a convenient design. My only complaint was that my beeper didn't have the flashing light like everyone else's so I wasn't sure they got my order. One of the servers checked on it and made sure it was working fine, so in the end I got my food no problem! Food was pretty good. I like their combos and how much variety they offered. My tomato soup was great- rich and creamy, perfect for a chilly day! Sandwich was slightly above average. They gave us all a cookie! I also enjoyed the free coffee and the free tea. read more

I love this Panera Bread location. It is located right at the center of Barracks Road Shopping Center in the middle of a cluster of similarly appealing stores, with a huge parking lot right in front, and a delightful courtyard with a fountain, tables, and couches right out the door from the Panera which is a great delight to enjoy during the warmer months. The Panera itself is relatively big for a Panera and has multiple 'sections' to it whereby it feels even bigger than the raw square footage. There is a front dining area, big booths, a small 'hallway' of small booths, and a back area with more regular tables and larger tables. They have multiple checkout stations and lots of electronic compute self-ordering too. Big staff and absolutely friendly/a delight. Without a doubt one of the best Panera's I've ever been too - many pleasant memories in this one over the years. read more

The location is good and there's plentiful parking and other stores nearby; the space is big and open; and the service and quality of food were as expected. I came here to grab dinner with my friend the other day. The staff greeted us immediately and were very friendly and helpful. I ordered turkey chili and a bagel, though they didn't have the kind that I wanted, so I had to choose a different one. I had also planned on using a reward for a free pastry, but by the evening (it was only around 5 or 6 pm) most of the pastries were gone and the selection was kind of lacking. After paying, we had to search for a table. This is always somewhat of a challenge at this location. Though it is a big restaurant, it is almost always very crowded (families eating, college students studying or chatting, etc.) and will take some time to find a free table. The booths are almost always full. We were able to find one after a few minutes. I was really delighted by the chili. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was so flavorful and filling. It had chickpeas and some veggies in it too! My friend ordered the broccoli cheddar soup and a baguette. Her baguette was fresh out of the oven and still steaming! I don't usually leave reviews for chains, but this Panera is exceptional... for its poor service. I don't think I've ever gotten my order made correctly here. A toasted bagel with butter and a coffee is not a complicated order, either, so for there to be two mistakes in it, in addition to the half-done preparation, is amazing. A toasted bagel should be warm. Butter is not cream cheese. A "vanilla cream cold brew" should show up with some kind of dairy product in it. read more
