What in the Panera Bread Happy Meal is this?!? This literally looks like a sandwich I would have fed my son when he was a toddler. After browsing Jersey Mike's menu, I figured I'd just get what I actually want -- Panera Bread. I've never done the mix and match before, but I commonly do the pick two. The prices are lower on the mix and match, but there are less options. I picked the toasted Italiano and the bacon turkey bravo. They were advertised as $5 each for half sandwiches. That's a dollar or two difference per sandwich versus the pick two, which also advertises the half sandwiches. I looked up what a half size Italian at Panera should be -- six inches. My daughter and I love to go to Panera Bread. I got really hooked on them while we lived in Nashville, so when given the chance..I stop. We went for lunch today to enjoy some Soup and Smoothies. She opted for the Cheddar Broccoli Soup and I went with the French Onion and we both got the Green Smoothies for the extra Protein. If I didn't love the food I would never use their drive-thru! it is slow as molasses in January. it always is. in addition to being sooooo slow, on two different occasions I ordered soup and they didn't put a spoon in the bag and I had to drive back and go through that super slow process all over again. Panera is a place that I have used more than once (OK, way more than once) to bring some food to an early morning business meeting to give that meeting a bit of a jumpstart and get everyone in a good mood and maybe (hopefully) be a bit more attentive. My go-to item to bring to these meetings is bagels with cream cheese. Being from New Jersey, I am a huge fan of bagels and while the bagels at Panera cannot compare to the great Jersey bagel shops, they are pretty good and to paraphrase Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz" we ain't in New Jersey. I would definitely recommend their bagels, but cannot really comment too much on their lunch items as this place, at least for me, is more about breakfast than anything else. Ordered a simple BLT and cappuccino. The coffee was very good however the sandwich was a ripoff. Two very thin slices of Roma diameter tomato, one small leaf of lettuce and small piece of bacon. The ingredients did not even cover to the edges of the bread. Skimpy at best. The sandwich was more than 8$ with less than 1$ of ingredients. It was so thin you hardly knew it was a sandwich. As chain restaurants go Panera is better than most other chains . I especially like their tuna salad sandwich .. I also like the corn chowder a lot ( it's seasonal. ) .. And the Agave Lemonade is the best lemonade ever read more

Stopped in for breakfast, and when we got here, there were only three people working. All three were working diligently, I might add. there was a line forming, and they just pressed on! Very dirty! Utensils not clean. Don't have any condiments available. Didn't even have butter. Bread was stale. Like what? Management needs to change or improve the awful standards. Krogers frozen meal section is tastier and cheaper than this. My fruit expired the next day causing it to look like it expired a week ago. I had a tablespoon of chicken on my sandwich. The macaroni and cheese was good but if they had to actually prepare it they would probably mess that up. Most times I've been here everything has been delicious and perfect. The one time things took a little longer than expected due a minor mistake, the manager caught the issue and fixed it immediately, and was super nice about it too. Typical over priced good food great atmosphere but if you have to wait over an hour for your order to become ready then there should at least be a monitor or yelp list to show you where you are on the list. The system here of preparing orders is horrible for the customer if there are more than about 4 or 5 customers in the place. Don't waste your money! I ordered online for delivery with Door Dash (free delivery for first 30 days). The delivery worked great. The food was a huge disappointment! I ordered a salad, 2 sandwiches, and a bread bowl soup. Not cheap, not even close! The sandwiches were sloppily made, falling apart, very light on ingredients, the wrong ingredients, and were not tasty. The soup had more liquid than ingredients and the shredded chicken was non existent! It had the taste of pure salt. My only comment was, a can of soup would be better! The bread bowl didn't make the trip, but a hard, cold, stale, torn into two pieces "baguette" was thrown in the bag (loose) on top of the plastic utensils! All of the food sucked. This is not the Panera Bread of the past! Supporting our restaurants is a good thing. However, they have to do their part to. An apology wouldn't cut it, a refund would! I was more or less trapped in the area for 2 nights, and Panera was my only reasonably nearby choice. The first meal consisted of dry bread and mystery meat. Terrible. The meat was tasteless and the bread was dry and tasteless. For the second night, I got a pastrami sandwich and, for backup, a grilled cheese sandwich for take out (who can screw up a grilled cheese, right?) I ended up leaving the pastrami sandwich on the table after only 2 bites. Back at my hotel room, I eagerly dove into the grilled cheese and dove right back out again. The sandwich consisted of 2 slices of dry bread with an unmelted piece of cheese between them. For supper, I ended up eating peanut butter crackers from the vending machine and counted myself lucky for that. Never, ever again will I chance a Panera. This Panera Bread was average. The customer service was nothing to brag about. The food was good. Serving sizes were ample and salads appeared fresh. Our Cobb salad had more chicken than what we usually receive in the same salad near home. Pleasant surprise. I did hear the staff tell a patron they had no drinks besides what was in the soda fountain machine and lemonade. All other drink bins were noticeably empty. Don't most free standing Panera's have a drive thru now? This one either missed the remodel or opted out all together. Aside from the fact that a lack of drive thru is a huge inconvenience for me, this site is pretty similar to others I been to across the country.
