I continue to be stunned by the prices of food at Panera . A tiny "thimble-full " of tomato soup and the same size Mac and cheese for 15.89. WHAT??? I only go there if it's an absolute necessity- late / too tired to make something /convenient - but I'm done with this place . Their prices are downright embarrassing for the pre-fab food they sell - Panera you've gone stark-raving mad and I for one am over it - you will not get one more penny from me for your shitty food. read more

The only two items I can give credit to are the chocolate chip cookies and the coffee. The last time I was there I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and soup. I requested a different type of bread other than white, the sandwich was a disaster, the cheese was too thick and rubbery, and the bread was too thin and not crisp at all. The soup was lukewarm and too sweet, I paid 9.00 for just the sandwich, I suppose because of the change in the type of bread. In the past any sandwich I ordered was never put together properly, kind of like just thrown together. I have learned a lesson. If I do go back it will only be for coffee. WHAT A JOKE!!! read more

I love this location. It is always so quick! The people at the drive-through are kind and courteous. My order is always correct! I always order a beverage online with no ice. Other locations in the area always add ice, but this one never does. I have never ordered food for me here as I eat gluten-free, but with their online ordering of beverages, they are wonderful! read more

Ordered two grilled cheese that looks like baby sandwiches that were not even grilled, looked like two pieces of bread slapped together with a piece of cheese in the middle. Also ordered two bowls of soup that were cold. When I called the manager she could care less and advised me to just not order the sandwiches anymore because that's the way they make them. I did order the toasted sliced bagel with the tomato spread and a grande' mocha. The food and drink was really good. Although, the customer service in one aspect, I didn't like very much. I made my payment with a card and then waited for my food and drink. While waiting, I was thinking of all the errands I had to finish once I left Panera Bread. It dawned on me that I would need change for the parking meter in downtown Youngstown later. I asked the cashier, who had the cash register open getting change for a customer, if she would be nice enough to break my 20 dollar bill. She said she can't do that. I asked her why. She said it might mess up her till. I wasn't happy about that as I told her now that I have to get change elsewhere and make another stop on an already busy day! Needless to say, after I finally did get home from a long day of running errands, I emailed Panera Bread headquarters and explained what happened. It pained me when I saw a billboard that claimed Panera Bread as Youngstown's best restaurant. It's not a real restaurant, it's a chain, and I just don't understand why this place is worshipped by NE Ohio. I ordered a turkey and cheese breakfast panini. The idea was there but it was soggy and pretty gross. I ordered a coffee as their hazelnut coffee is pretty good. I started pouring a cup and noticed that it was full of grounds. I waited for a few minutes before I had to shout for someone's attention behind the counter. The ridiculous part here is that there was a manager five feet from me and she amazingly ignored me. She was unsympathetic that the coffee was full of grounds, borderline rude. She just snottily told me that the grounds were so fine that it happened. So if it happens wouldn't you make sure that full cup of coffee full of grounds has already been poured out? Just a suggestion, Parena, just a suggestion. Please don't act like I should have known that as I am not your employee. I can't pretend that I've never had anything there that I really liked but the thing is it all gets boring and overall is just mediocre. read more

I went to this location on 8/5/20 with my daughter. I had the Greek Salad and Tea. Within one hour I felt off, tired. By 9 pm I had diarrhea then two hours later vomiting. I started high volume vitamin C then Oregano tincture two hour intervals. If I had not had my own remedy I would of went to the hospital. (My symptoms were that bad). My daughter stayed up all night worried this was COVID but I had no breathing issues the symptoms matched food born illness. I will not be returning to this location. We recently went to Panera for breakfast we ordered two bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches.. neither had bacon.. one had cheese only melted on one part of the bread and they almost forgot our second drink.. called the manager who offered to have the food remade which was nice but we were already home.. just overall not good read more

My Mac and cheese was cold and the one worker Kendra was a bitch to me for no reason.

It was very good and they were quick about it. With everything going on with the coronavirus they really made it work with the social distancing and such. I was really happy with what i got which was the chicken noodle soup and it wasn't cold at all in fact it was actually perfect. read more

It's a hit or miss with the service. But the cheddar broccoli soup is my all time favorite thing to get. The food is great.

Absolutely horrible service I ordered online for my first time and I paid for it to deliver it to me the girl who delivered to me was very nice I left her over 20% of a tip I go to open my bag and I eat my sandwich first and then I was gonna eat my salad I realized I didn't have my dressing so I called the store back and the lady Sheila tried to tell me that she packaged up the salad and that she put a dressing in there I said ma'am if there was a dressing in there I would not be calling. Then she started getting nasty with me and she told me that it would be over an hour before somebody would give me my dressing I said that is absolutely ridiculous I'll just take this back and get my money back she said no no no I'll have somebody come out now I waited for about a half an hour meanwhile it only takes five minutes to get to my house so I took it back and she tried to refuse to give me my money back I called corporate they're taking care of it but they will never ever ever received my service again! I went to Panera Bread in Canfield on Monday and at 3:30pm, they only had 2 plain bagels left. The girl checked the back, and said there isn't any more. My son only likes plain bagels, and I think theirs are the best, if they have them. Needless to say, I went back up at 12:30pm, which is lunch time, and ordered 3 plain bagels. The girl said, "I would love to give you them, if we had any." Now come on its lunch time. She did offer me other choices, but didn't like any. So, anyway... I had to drive to Boardman Panera, which apparently make them all thru the day. They seem to always have them in Boardman. So... What's up with this... If your selling a lot of plain bagels, and running low,than why can't you bake some more. There is NO reason to be out at lunchtime....just saying. read more

Customer Service is something I am big on. The employees need better trained in this area! I found the employees in the Warren store on Elm road to have much nicer attitudes! Boardman and Austintown employees also need trained in customer service. Something about this area! I did witness the owner being very rude to employees when the Boardman store first opened, so maybe this explains it. read more
