One brownie bite for two dollars? Think you can get a whole pack for four at the grocery store
    Stacy K.

I miss the heyday of Panera. The bagels I ordered from Panera were so tiny, it looked like a mistake batch. They used to bake most of their stuff on site, but the company decided to do away with that program and now the food is not as fresh. The prices are high and the portions have gotten smaller. They have one brownie bite for two dollars, you can get an entire container from the grocery store a few bucks, so why so much here? And I understand why they took away the caffeinated lemonade, but why not just replace it with un-caffeinated flavored lemonade? They used to have more interesting drinks, now it was just Pepsi products, and not even good ones. This used to be the place I would hang with my kids, but even before they rebuilt this one, it was not as good as it used to be. I am not disappointed in the people working here, just in the company itself.

Iced Coffee with light cream? They gave me cream with light coffee.

If you want light cream, go inside and do it yourself. We ordered an iced coffee with light cream and received a cream with light coffee. We also tried the new Fromage Croissant Toast and it was terrible. There was no garlic aioli on the sandwich, it was cold and the arugula was wilted. Not good at all! The order was ready when we arrived, so I guess that's a plus.

That is the amount of avocado they give... worst panera ever!
    Karolina K.

This is the worst Panera ever. The avocado toast had such a small amount of avocado, I asked if this is normal, and was told that yes. I've ate this toast in so many other locations and never got so little amount. The staff is also rude and very slow. Won't be back.

The spicy chili garlic seasoning added the perfect amount of spice. And they even bring out extra spice to the table, if you need more! The fresh house-made noodles were cooked perfectly. I added chicken to my bowl instead of the pork. It was tender and so flavorful. The toppings -- marinated egg, green onions, bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, and sesame seeds -- all came together really well. I added soybeans to my bowl. Definitely one of the best ramen bowls I've had in Michigan. I'll be back for sure. Service was quick. And even at 4pm, the place was already packed. My belly was so happy after this meal!

Not really much of an ambiance - it's a very casual place with pretty basic decor. Everyone working there was friendly and our food was brought out to us in a reasonable amount of time. I got the classic tonkotsu ramen and it was really good! The broth was flavorful and complex, the pork was tender, and the egg perfectly jammy. Apparently they make their noodles fresh everyday. The price of a ramen bowl was on par with what I'm used to (~$20 with tax + tip) but the sushi seemed a little pricey. I will have to come back to try it.

Awful food, even worse people. Incredibly rude to customers! It was the absolute worst customer…read moreexperience I have ever had in a restaurant, take-out or otherwise, by far! The guy "tag-teamed" his wife to come out of the kitchen and bicker with me, right in front of multiple other customers, when I "dared" to speak up about their tone and attitude, then repeatedly pointed to a sign on the wall that said "we match your energy" (AKA: "we reserve the right to be total a****les for any and all perceived slights, real or imagined") when I had the "audacity" to complain about how they spoke to me and my dad on the phone and in-person. They were furious that my elderly dad was "taking too long" to place his order for four people (he was not, at all) and acting like it's somehow our fault that they only have a single phone line. Give me a break (take-out only establishment, by the way). They then proceeded to promptly cancel my dad's order and shoo me out, all the while cussing at me in Mandarin, at which point I walked out of there (for the last time). You would do well to AVOID this place at all costs, trust. Not to mention, I've had their food more than a few times before, and it is not even NEARLY good enough to justify them being this nasty towards their patrons. Their offerings are the very definition of "sodium-infused slop" and "mediocre at best" and they act like we are lucky to be allowed to purchase them. What a joke! Do yourself a HUGE favor (like I did) and pay a little extra for a place with WAY better people and service, and MILES better quality food, places such as Shangri-La (amazing!), for example. Never, ever again. You have been warned!

BUUT why are you closed every time I'm craving Chinese? I get it. Everyone deserves time off. You're a small family business. Work-life balance, as they say! But I want my (huge, perfectly crisp, bursting with deliciousness) egg rolls dammit! I've even got my parents who live in Arizona hooked on you like a drug. Only to be disappointed whenever they are in town-sure enough you are closed! It's becoming a running joke in my family. I'll call and get a busy signal on your single phone line as many times as it takes (11, to be exact tonight). Today, I hit rock bottom and ended up getting the most awful/greasy/disappointing almond boneless chicken and salty weird wonton soup from another establishment, like an addict who needs her fix). Never again. I understand that good things come to those who wait... I'll keep waiting for you, Szechuan Gourmet. Please be gentle with my heart. And my tastebuds. And my GI tract.
