Shame on me for not trying them on in the store when picking up and shame on me for not taking them back and requesting the work to be done over. The other 2 times I've gone to OK Custom Dressmaking and Alteration, the shop-owner flat out said "no", he could not fix the item. Today's declined work was a riding coat, which really is no different than a double vented men's suit coat. It's essentially a double vented, three button blazer with flap pockets at the hip. It's not ridiculously large on me, but still a little loose. It maybe needs to be taken in one size...not multiple sizes. The man in the store said he could not do it because there are pockets in the front. WTF? Soooo, you mean to tell me no one ever, in the history of alterations, was able to alter a men's or women's suit coat to a smaller size??? That seems unlikely. The one other time they refused to do the work, I took the item elsewhere and it was completed satisfactorily, with no resistance and no rework needed. I have another friend who experienced the same attitude at OK. He had some men's pants they said "no" to working on. He also took the pants to another alterations place and got them back fixed perfectly. Not sure if OK Alterations just does so well that they don't need the work, or if they're just plain inept, but I will not be trying them again.

I have been a customer for 20+ years and loved the facility until it was bought a few years ago. I…read morerented 2 units at one time and have paid alot of money to this facility. Not sure who the new owners are but the woman that runs this facility needs lessons in customer service. I have had a few issues with her but the most recent was Feb 2024. I had fraud on my bank account and my bank froze my account. They reopened a new account and wrote a letter to my creditors so that I would not be held accountable for late fees and such. I called A1 mini storage to advise of my issue and the gentleman that I spoke with advised to send a check when I got my new ones in and to send the letter as well. Which is what I did. The woman at the facility called me and asked about the payment and I advised that I had just sent it in along with the letter. I advised what the gentleman had said, she started raising her voice and advised this was not her problem, that I needed to pay the $25 late fee. I told her that in all my years I had never experienced the lack of customer service that I have from her. She just started yelling. I really think she has a mental problem because I didn't see a reason for her to carry on the way she was. She was screaming at me and I couldn't say a word so I hung up on her. The times before I just assumed she was having a bad day but this is not an excuse. Needless to say I paid the late fee and am NO longer a customer. I will never advise for anyone to rent from these folks and I hope that many more will go elsewhere. Too many rental facilities in the same area to be treated this way. I paid 20-30K to this facility over the years and she acted this way over $25. Good Riddance to A1 Mini Storage.
