Well imagine my shock when today after I paid the final instalment I was able to hold the ring and it is so cheap!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was half gold and half silver. No it's silver and half gold plated. It is so light and has a hollow back. That will not be a comfortable ring to wear. It will dig into his finger. I'm so sad. This was suppose to be special. I scrimped and skimmed off grocery money to buy this ring ($699) so he would be totally surprised. That is no easy feat for a family of 6! She said I could have a full refund within 30 days. I guess I'll take her up on that. But for today I'll just think about it. What a let down. I just got off the phone with the manager of the store and he told me that I wouldn't receive any valve for the ring to trade. The reason is that there was a bad diamond in the ring and I could pay extra to replace the bad diamond and then pay another $90 to send it back to the main office in Toronto to get the ring appraised. So basically, Ben Moss is telling me that they sold me a $4500.00 ring that had a lifetime guarantee that had a bad diamond in the ring. When the manager told me that it wasn't his staff that sold me the ring and he would like to help me pick out the perfect engagement ring, I told him I would be taking my business elsewhere. I would strongly suggest that if you are looking to make a substantial investment in purchasing jewelry look at a different company.

One month after receiving my custom engagement ring, three of the six prongs snapped and my diamond fell out. The ring had to be completely remade due to a manufacturing defect, and what followed was poor communication, quality-control issues, and multiple trips back to the store. Kat, the person that many people praised in the reviews, no longer works there. Initially, everything seemed promising. Kat was great to work with and gave my Fiancé confidence in moving forward with a custom design. Just one month after our engagement, three prongs broke and my diamond fell out. Thankfully, we didn't lose the diamond. After inspecting the ring, Marlow admitted the prongs had likely been cut too deeply or lacked sufficient gold support and that the ring would need to be completely remade rather than repaired. We then went three weeks without any update and only learned the replacement was ready after I contacted the store myself. When we picked up what was supposed to be a brand-new ring, it already had visible scratches and was made to the wrong specifications. We had ordered a 2.5 mm band, but the replacement measured 2.92 mm. After few days, we returned again only to find fresh scratches that needed correcting while we waited. To their credit, they refunded the ring setting cost. However, that does not undo the experience. An engagement ring is one of the most meaningful purchases a person can make, and instead of enjoying our engagement, we spent weeks dealing with a failed ring, a complete remake, communication problems, and repeated quality-control mistakes. I genuinely would not wish this experience on any couple during what should be one of the happiest and most exciting times of their lives. It's for the vintage, and heritage line leather bags that made Coach so famous 40+ years ago. As well as for the silk scarves, colourful umbrellas, fabulous shoes and boots and chic costume jewelry. Thankfully I had a copy of an email that they sent me with the picture of the damaged earring as proof. After they located the records I was told that they haven't heard back from the place they sent it to get repaired but I should check back at a later date. I called the store in early April for another update and was told that they were in Ohio and could possibly be back in a week or two but that they'd contact me once it's ready for pickup. I called the store again in mid May when I didn't hear back from them only to be told that the earrings have been there for quite some time waiting to be picked up and when was I planning on doing so? I asked why I wasn't informed of this and was told that an email was sent. It wasn't. When I got to the store and pressed the issue they admitted that "there must've been an error" because usually they'd call and email people when their items are ready for pick up but for some reason I was the exception as I received neither of those. They had my email address and TWO phone numbers on file yet no attempt was made to contact me. The impression I got from the person I dealt with was that the earrings have been there since April. It's mind boggling to me that for close to 1 month no one had the presence of mind to contact a customer to let them know their product was ready for pick up. The attitude of the rep was so relaxed in all of this. I was given the impression that Peoples couldn't care less about "my problem" or about retaining me as a customer. A sincere apology would've been nice but I suppose that's asking too much. Lesson learned, I will no longer patronize that establishment.
