Most plumbing contractors didn't respond to our online request for that, the few who did would not give an estimate for such work just for it to be done on an hourly labor plus materials. Chase Plumbing came through and responded. Coordinating with Joanna in the office she scheduled Ian to come out within a week, he promptly produced the estimate and it was scheduled within 2 weeks. The plumber Kurt and his helper Robert worked diligently, neatly coordinating with us when needed. Work was completed to our satisfaction with the price agreed too.

Tried at least 5 companies before anyone would even come by the house, and the first one that did offered to cut a hole in the ceiling ($600) and cut a hole in the shower tile and replace all the plumbing in the bathroom ($3500), all without even looking at the shower at all. They then tried to sell me a heater boiler, hot water heater, and all new plumbing for the rest of the house. Seemed excessive, so I called Chase. They came, took a look at the shower faucet, replaced the valve in about an hour without cutting a single hole in anything, and charged a fraction of the previous estimate. They are professionals, so their labor is not cheap, but they do excellent work and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need.
