I have been eating here every single Friday night for about 18-20 months (it's called Thai Food Friday and everyone knows not to mess with it). The staff are super friendly and know my voice when I say "hello I would like". Very rarely have to wait for food for pickup and always piping hot. Just came back from eating my way through Bangkok and the flavors are very consistent with what I was eating over there. I've tried a bunch of different things, but have settled on the pad egg noodle dish, usually a 5* for heat. It's tasty and the spice heat is perfect. Too hot for anyone else in the family. There were some issues about a year ago with inconsistency with the spice level, but that seems to have worked itself out (and we've talked with the owner about it). Now my 5* is predictable. My only minor criticism today is that sometimes the grease level (amount of oil used) varies. But it always tastes good! I'm super consistent eating when I'm at home and would be crushed without my Pandan Thai. read more

There is nothing more I can say about this place the food is delicious and consistent every time. There has yet to be something on this menu that I haven't absolutely loved and I'm a very picky eater, and shocked I even gave this place a chance. Great friendly service, huge authentic menu, clean and cute, and never fails to impress. They use real fresh ingredients and nothing is short on flavor or presentation. The ladies that work the front are super friendly and make the best ice cream bowls! So far every dish has been my favorite, and I haven't had the same thing twice. Steer clear of the Pandan Sweet Tea, not the best thing...ever. It tasted like coconut with SUGAR! So I poured my $2.00 pandan away and refilled it with nestle sweet tea, so much better. Including tip, my meal was over $19.00. Not happy with the price considering the quality of the meal. The food was poor and it is way overpriced. Overall, I wouldn't return here. Where do I start? The service is really good. Food comes out quickly and the owner spent time talking to us. I ordered the Tom Kha and it was amazing. Just the right amount of veggies. Then I had the Panang. So sweet and full of flavor. If you check in via Yelp you get 10% off the first time. They use an iPad as their register and I love that. My receipt was sent via email. I've been on the hunt for a good thai joint to satisfy my appetite. This place nailed it. Excellent tofu pad Thai, flavorful tofu tom kha, and savory chicken basil fried rice! Plenty of food. This is pretty good food. I have never had Thai food before, but my wife and I will return to try more dishes. A couple things I would suggest is photos of the dishes. Although I ordered to-go, the interior is so inviting. Super cute with a welcoming, paradise-like feel. It's a great mid-day escape for anyone in the Burleson/Crowley area. Customer service was great. I ordered the tropical curry for lunch and was not entirely disappointed. Filled with onions, cashews, pineapple and mango, this red-based curry really did the trick. Each lunch order comes with an egg roll and drink! --Any objections? I will say that I've had a mango and curry dish before, and I prefer the mango cold, fresh and diced atop a bed of red curry-covered rice, as opposed to immersed in the curry sauce as they did here. It throws off the taste. I was also surprised they didn't ask for spice preference. One of my favorite restaurants in Crowley, it had been open for well over six months before I dared to venture in and give it a try. Tip: Patience is key as service has always been a bit slow here. It's interesting considering I've never seen more than four other people in the restaurant whenever I've gone. I normally order right before my nail tech at the shop next door puts on my polish, because it takes about that long for the food to be ready. I've never ordered anything but pad Thai ( the beef, chicken or mix) and its consistently well prepared, spicy, and delicious. The staff are young here and didn't seem very customer centered, but since I've always ordered out, I don't pay it much attention. Overall, I enjoy coming here and I'm glad to have a Thai restaurant close to home to eat at! read more

We noticed a group of guys just finished eating and left BUT no one came over to clean or wipe down the table. It wasn't even busy or anything so I don't know why they could not do it. I mean that is an obvious thing you know as a server or if you work in the restaurant business. How do you just let your customers sit down to a dirty table, and of course sure enough the tables are all sticky due to all of the food that did not get cleaned up. That is a big NO ... My family loves PanDan. We're lucky to have a nice spot like this nearby. We've not had everything on the menu, but the food we've sampled is excellent and tastes very fresh. The restaurant unexpectedly closed early recently after I had spoken to staff who told me they would be open normal hours. After mentioning this, I received a message from Pook who apologized and offered to make it up to us. Great service and integrity is often lacking at other restaurants - not here. I'll start off by saying the food here is amazing. Best Thai I've ever had. The 2 stars are for the service. I've been coming here at least once a week now for a couple years and up until about 6 months ago the service and the employees were awesome. Now my orders are consistently wrong, the employees (most of whom seem to be high school age girls) don't know the menu and even tell me that something I've ordered for years actually isn't on their menu and never was.. even though it's written in giant white lettering on their specials board. The cucumber relish is awesome but don't expect to get the amount you order. The ice cream is great but it's rarely in stock. After the last several orders I've placed I'm done with Pandan. My husband and I visited the restaurant Friday for Veterans' Day. The service was unsatisfactory, and we felt unwelcome. The teenage girl at the register greeted us, but she seemed driven to get us to do take out instead of eating in the restaurant. We told her on three separate occasions we were eating in the restaurant. She did not direct us to be seated or even give us a menu. We took the menus off the counter and ordered our food. By this time, we had told her three times we were eating in the restaurant not doing take out. We sat down and waited for our food. Two of the cooks past by us and never spoke to us. We felt invisible and not welcomed. Our food came, and it was in a brown bag. The hostess said that she made a mistake and placed take out on our order. Within five minutes of receiving our food, the hostess asked could she go home because it was a slow night. Before she left, she had a disturbing conversation with a male on the phone. She was loud, and we could her volatile conversation. Overall, the service was subpar; however, my meal was delicious. I ordered the green curry with jasmine rice. My husband did not like his food. He ordered the Tom Yum soup. He said that it lacked flavor. read more

Quick read: Great food with big portions, good value, a couple quirky improvement opportunities. Definitely worth checking it out. Good stuff: I go here about once a week for lunch and we always leave happy with the taste and portion size. I have a big appetite but I'm rarely able to finish my meal. I've eaten Thai food regularly for 10+ years, and I'm pleased with their flavors and variety and spice level. If you get "level five spicy," you better get your mind right in advance, especially with any of the soup dishes. They bring the heat. I've brought several coworkers and done the takeout thing for a group, and everybody seems to enjoy this place. Recommendation: For a nice treat, substitute the thick/bountiful egg noodles for any rice dish, and add a fried egg on top. Nom nom nom. They do have two fixable quirks: 1) I had a bad impression the first time I came here because we didn't realize it is a counter-service restaurant. You are supposed to go to the front counter, ring the bell, order, then seat yourself. (Management, others have had this same issue!!!! -- I recommend a sign near the front door that says "Please order at the counter") 2) Those tables sure are sticky, like others have said. So sticky that you have to wrestle the napkin holder off the table if you want to move it. BUT I don't think it's from being dirty -- we even tried testing it by scrubbing down a section of our table -- it was still sticky, even when spotless. It's just the texture. They should add some glass tops or cloth tablecovers to the tables. Two areas for improvement (and I consider these minor, note that I only dinged one star) 1) Many of their dishes feature fresh green beans, which taste good, but they put too many of them in there. You might ask for "half green beans" if you order anything that contains it. 2) They service is hit and miss. Three of the four front-room females we've interacted with are sweet and friendly, one is regularly snarky. Go check out this place, it's tasty and a great value! read more

Wow!! I have to say I'm very impressed. Crowley just got a great new destination. My son is a huge Thai fan and dragged me (yes, dragged). I loved how I could control the "heat" for my white girl pallet. It was the perfect spice blend for my liking. Typical Thai food- not the best I've had but decent enough to tame my cravings for being my nearest Thai restaurant. I ordered to-go the Pad Kee Mao and an order of egg rolls. Although I didn't request a spice level I thought it could use more spice (I love spicy). The egg rolls were decent and 1 order came with 4 so definitely share a single order. Total price was $15 and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. As others have mentioned, the interior is small with very little decoration. I'm not sure I would ever sit down to eat there. Overall I would eat again if craving Thai, but would definitely drive the extra mile into Fort Worth if I were looking for a place with both atmosphere and top notch food. Update: I have learned to ask for spice level 2-3 on the Pad Kee Mao. My husband just recently tried their Pad Thai (he had never tried any thai before) and he loves it. Definitely order spice level 4 or 5 as Pad Thai is not very spicy. LOTS of food comes with the Pad Thai to provide 1-2 leftovers which is nice. read more
