We went in yesterday evening and tried this place for the first time after seeing posts about them on Facebook. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. We had carrot cake cinnamon rolls, a snickerdoodle cookie and a lemon cookie. Everything was so good. The cinnamon rolls were truly off the charts. Service was good. Inside looks like what you would expect from a bakery, selection through the glass case and several tables to sit at if you want to eat there. We will definitely be back. read more

It's hard to find any bakeries around that sell all homemade baked goods. this place is beyond amazing and just across the street from us. We've been going here for about 2 years now and absolutely LoVE everything we've tried!!!!! The peanut butter jelly thumbprint cookies are to die for!!!!! Came in with my wife and daughter craving something sweet after lunch, Murrys Bakery did NOT disappoint! I had a snickerdoodle and cinnamon buttercream sandwich, our daughter had a snickerdoodle cookie and my wife had sopapilla cheeeecake!! They has a great selection including Rice Krispies, cookies, brownies and truffles. ***UPDATE*** I am only giving 3 stars as opposed to my original review of 5 based off our first visit. We have been back several times, and while the husband is SUPER nice every time, his wife comes across cold and honestly, rude. Not friendly or welcoming like you would expect out of a business owner. Also, we wanted only 3 thumbprint cookies but were told we could only order them in a dozen or half dozen. Bummer. The banana pudding was really, really good, but for $5? That is STEEP. Sadly I don't think we will be back. read more

11/12/19 Wednesday 6:00 pm. I have been anxious for this place to open. Burleson needs a strictly dessert place for after dinner as most restaurant desserts are lacking. This place stays open until 9:30 pm.;yes!!!! Drove by and saw the open sign so I had to make a u-turn and come back. There is parking behind the building itself. I walk in and the missus is fresh baking apple hand pies. Her husband is working the counter, plenty of goodies in the case. I strike up a conversation, curious about how they came about and so excited they are finally open. They both converse with me while hand pies are in the oven. I eventually order a brownie, a peanut butter, Oreo ball. I begin to pay but realize I should most definitely get a hand pie since it is her great grandmother's recipe and the smell of baking crust is divine! All of their treats are made fresh daily and today they had to make more hand pies. I take my goodies home. First up we tried the brownies, it is a big piece. It is reminiscent of a Mrs. Field's brownie. It has a wonderful cocoa flavor and it is somewhat gooey in the middle. Delightful! We try the cake balls next. The peanut butter one is not overpowering. It is rather subtle. The Oreo cookie cake ball is oh my gosh decadent! It is perfect; not overly sweet as other I have had. Hubs says he could eat about a dozen on them easily!!! The hand pie will have to wait until tomorrow. I can't wait! 11/18/19 Was in the area, any excuse to stop off here after dinner. If I could give a zero star I would! The owner/manager has the poorest customer service skills I have ever experienced. I visited the establishment to place a huge order and to determine if this would be my go-to bakery in the future. It will never happen, not even if it was the last bakery standing. Luckily, I do not have a sweet tooth, so I would rarely patronize the establishment anyway, but my colleagues do so I wanted to meet their request by having treats at the banquets and trainings. It sounds like the husband has a better attitude than the wife. Hubby, please switch roles and put her behind the scenes. She is going to cause you to lose money. True, you have some customers who like your treats despite your wife/co-owner attitude, but that will only last so long. Also, imagine the amount of business you could gain and retain if her attitude and demeanor was as sweet as your treats. Unfortunately, she missed the training on quality customer service. Luckily, there are tons of bakeries in the area, which I will be patronize for ongoing banquets and trainings. P.S. Hubby I will pray for you, seriously! This is the best bakery in Burleson and they're conveniently located in the Old Town area. It's a great place for dessert and it's owned by a young couple just as sweet as everything they make. They are there all day long baking and they are usually open around lunch and dinner time with lots to choose from. They have small pies, huge cookies, cupcakes, and lots of creative things to choose from. It's great to have a formally trained pastry chef providing us goodies all the time. First time here and got to say I am impressed. Tried an assortment of things including the rice crispy treats and some cookies and all of them were buttery, soft, and super delicious. I had to remove a star due to the vibe of the area, I am a Hispanic man and the few people waiting for cupcakes were Caucasian. The place got silent as I entered with my girlfriend. I will try this place again and see if the vibe changes next time, could be a fluke. read more

I went in for some treats. My husband didn't care for the chocolate chip cookies. I loved the sopapillia cheesecake. I have received excellent customer service in store. One time when I was in I asked about custom cakes. They said for me to put in a order online. I did and never heard back. I called a week later and the owner said that she was at a funeral and would get back with me. It's been a month. Don't expect a response for a custom cake. read more

I want to echo Cal B's review. I was just in there with my wife and two young kids (2&3 yoa). The female at the register was not welcoming at all, in my wife's words just starred us down the whole time. Our 3 year old was excited to be in a bakery, as any 3 year old is in any bakery. He touched the pumpkins at the front counter and the female was quick to snap at my child with "don't touch the pumpkins". It took everything in me not to go off on her. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming; surprisingly for a small business owner in Burleson. The treats are mediocre at best and highly priced. You need to work on your customer service skills. My favorite bakery so far in burleson! Sorry to say that cleburne bakeries just aren't as good. We love Murry's lemon cookies, Rice Krispies (giant!), and the oatmeal chocolate chip bar (my ultimate fave). Don't even get me started on the best sopapilla cheesecake we have ever had. Might actually be the best cheesecake we have ever had. Omg mouth watering greatness. My husband picks this as his fave forever. They have a lot of things to choose from but we typically end up getting our faves over and over. We didn't love the red velvet bar, the dipped truffles (just too rich), or the brownies (not sweet enough for a brownie), but we don't even care because the good stuff you find and love, you keep going back for. There's truly something here for everyone. The service is one of the best and that makes it even better for our visits. Their hours are in the afternoon, which if you're a morning errand person can make it hard to get in when they're open since it's late for a bakery, 3pm - evening. I waited weeks to take my husband here and he was just as happy to visit as I was. Will be coming back over and over. read more

So this happened today to my cousins and I wanted to share a positive story. There was a bit of excitement around my cousin's house today as their house was quite literally struck by lightning (cross that off the bucket list ). A small area of house caught fire and there are several holes in the roof but we are all safe and that is what matters most. The Burleson Fire Department responded instantly and secured the situation. In the the pouring rain and in the middle of a lightning storm, our firefighters crawled up on the house to place a tarp over the holes to help prevent further damage. They went above and beyond and my cousins felt like they had to show them at least a bit of gratitude. So they went down to Murry Bakery to pick up some yummies to treat the firefighters and shared the story of their morning. Ruthie and her husband would not allow them to pay for what they were going to drop off. She tried and tried but they flat refused. If nothing else, We had to share the story of their kindness and generosity and I encourage you to visit their beautiful bakery. This is what it means to be a community. Love one another. The service at this bakery was awful. I was never acknowledged nor spoken to, not even told that someone would be right with me, although three workers were at the counters. Once I left, I talked to a worker on the phone, and I was utterly disrespected. I was cut off and told that I didn't have to purchase with their establishment. I will never return to this location ever again as they have lost my service, and I hope they hire more respectful and attentive workers. We finally visited Murry Bakery last night and are kicking ourselves for not going sooner. I had a s'more with a homemade marshmallow. She heated the marshmallow with a tiny blowtorch! It was delicious. We also had a chocolate chip/oatmeal cookie which is huge and yummy. Our favorite was the snickerdoodle cookie sandwich. The filling was so very good! We will be returning soon. OMG!!! Everything I have had from this bakery has been super delicious. They use fresh butter and only superior ingredients in their baked goods. Cookies, brownies, bars, banana pudding does not come any fresher or tastier. BUT TODAY, I ordered my sister's birthday cake. A yellow butter cake with milk chocolate frosting. Need I say more???
