I usually don't write reviews, but this was bad enough that I will. I needed a quick bite to eat and was craving Asian, so I ordered a side of dumplings as an appetizer. I also ordered the veggies and bean curd dish. Their website listed a wait time of between fifty to seventy-five minutes. That seemed long. My food arrived in about forty minutes, which I was not expecting. That was a pleasant surprise. When my food came, the delivery guy was very polite, smiled, and handed me my food. He was very professional about everything. The food itself was...not good. I liked the dumplings but, having lived in Flushing, NYC, and in various parts of Asia for a combined total of 1.5 years, these were not the best I have had. For American dumplings, they were okay. The skin could have been a little thinner, but otherwise, not bad. The veggies and bean curd were not good. The veggies were undercooked and practically raw. This was making it hard for them to soak up any of the sauce on the bottom of the dish. The bean curd was soaking up all the liquid in the dish, or at least it was trying to. It tasted almost as if the restaurant had cut up a fresh cube of tofu and had forgotten to cook it for more than a few seconds. There was sauce at the bottom of the dish, which looked like soy sauce but tasted like water. Something in the dish was giving off water, which was seeping into the sauce. I know I ordered diet food, but that doesn't mean it has to taste bad. I wish they had cooked this dish for a little longer. The delivery took about an hour and a half to get here (we just ordered two containers of chicken and Chinese Doughnuts), and when we got into the food, I, in better terms, wasn't impressed. But wait! Just when I finished about half of my Sesame Chicken, I felt something hard in my mouth. Guess what I pulled out? AN ANIMAL NAIL. A F***ING NAIL IN MY FOOD. So the man said he would refund our order, and have someone come to pick up the food. A little later, my husband gets a phone call from them, and they said they'd only be refunding us for the soiled chicken, nothing else. Okay, sure. They don't want to lose any more of their money, now that they're losing a customer. TWO HOURS later, a man rang our doorbell to pick up the chicken, along with giving my husband a REALLY hard time about it. He was arguing with him over, "The chicken looks more than halfway eaten." Love the menu variety here compared to other Chinese places that deliver in the area. Their lemon chicken and honey chicken are delicious. So are their pan fried dumplings, egg rolls, and pork fried rice. However they aren't consistently good. We thought maybe it varied because we ordered towards closing time but even in the middle of the day some of the dishes weren't that great and arrived warm not hot. Here in Evans Mills, the selection is few and far in between. So we found this place and decided to give it a try. The food isn't bad, but I've had better. The atmosphere is quiet and they make no effort to make you comfortable. The cashier is the worst! Her customer service skills are horrible! She doesn't welcome you and speaks with a disrespectful tone! It took everything in me not to take it to a whole other level with this chick!
