    Egg Roll
    Happy N.

The reason why, I'm writing a review on Yummy Kitchen is to spread the word to hungry about this place. Besides the menu that was left at my door, and the few reviews on Google. I didn't really know much about the restaurant. So craving Asian food, I decided to give this place a try. The menu is pretty simple, as the owner has not over packed it with numerous items, which can be seen when you look at other menus from Chinese Restaurants. This being my first visit to the restaurant, I decided to order a few items to get a better impression on the place. I ordered two Egg Rolls, the Pan Fried Dumplings and the Hibachi Chicken, Beef and Shrimp. All three items tasted great. So, if you are ever craving Asian Food, I would recommend giving Yummy Kitchen a shot. Hopefully, the food will leave you with a positive impression as well.

Upon entering we found a really cute place with tables and some bar seating. It has a cute and casual atmosphere with popular songs playing but in blue grass style. It wasn't busy because they just opened for the day so we were seated immediately. We were happy to see they carried beer from Wayland, a local brewery from our area. We ordered drinks and food and it came out quickly. Our server was attentive and was able to speak to all our menu questions to ensure we got what we needed. I ordered a class of Pinot Grigio and the Martha salad with grilled chicken. It was absolutely delicious, very flavorful and tasty. The cilantro and dates were a nice add on to a salad. The dates were a nice sweet contrast to the salty goat cheese. I was impressed that they had a lot of healthy and gf options that were wonderful and didn't feel like an afterthought on the menu. I am told the blackstrap bbq chicken sandwich was wonderful. The chicken and onion straws were nice and crispy. The bbq sauce wasn't overpowering but added a nice addition to the sandwich. The onion ring on top was a huge bonus and the fries were perfection, possibly the star of the show. I'd highly recommend if you are in the area. We hope to be able to come back another time soon.

First off, their website is odd. Not much information, quite confusing, sometimes it won't even load (on mobile device), so if you're trying to make a reservation, call them directly. Location, beautiful, along the river, great outdoor seating. I'm sure dinner and sunset is stunning. Good, it was okay. We ordered kids breakfast, huevos rancheros skillet thing, chicken and waffles, biscuit and gravy, and the whisky flight. The huevos ranchero was good, nothing to rave over but good. The chicken and waffles didn't come with syrup at first, I'm sure it was a mistake. The biscuit and gravy... looked amazing, but the biscuits were hard. Like rock hard, and even after sitting in the gravy, no moisture would come back. Haha Service... the lady was so sweet, but she kept forgetting us, she would place hot things right in front of the baby where she would easily grab it. She had a hard time splitting the bill. Ultimately we had to ask another waitress for water refill and splitting our bill. Maybe we will go back... but not in a rush.

Last summer (2024) we went up to find they were not serving meals. Their chef left, they couldn't get servers... I'd check in before you go or ask at their place in Clayton. When we got there, we were greeted and sat at the hibachi grill instantly. There was one other table, with about 5 people, when we were sat. Our waitress was over within a couple minutes to take our food and drink orders. Within a couple minutes of ordering, my wife and I were brought a ginger salad and miso soup. The ginger salad was your typical ginger salad with crunchy vegetables and bright dressing. The miso soup was some of the most flavorful miso soup I have ever had, and it made me want a second bowl seeing it was a colder day. To start I ordered a spicy maki combo sushi, which consisted of spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and spicy salmon rolls. The sushi came out relatively fast, and was very presentable. All of the sushi tasted fresh, and did not have that fishy taste that I have had with getting these rolls at other restaurants. After a little while, our hibachi chef came to our table, greeted us, and had us move to the seats in front of the grill, seeing we were the only two at the table. He started off by making sure he had the correct orders for us, and then lit the grill on fire, which had a very nice warmth to it. The chef did a great job putting on a show for us, while cooking our food! Our chef also had some good throws, when myself and my wife both caught pieces of broccoli in our mouths. The chef was also funny and squirted water into both of our mouths, from a bottle that had a top that looked like a child was peeing the liquid out . The chef made sure to tell us everything he was doing while he cooked our food. I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi with fried rice, vegetables, and 2 shrimp. The vegetables had a great cook on them, with that distinct teriyaki flavor. The steak and chicken were both cooked well. I was gladly surprised the chicken didn't have that dry/squeaky texture it some times can. The rice was okay, it had good flavor but seemed slightly over done. The 2 pieces of shrimp were good but nothing to write home about. Overall, we had a great time. Our hibachi chef was amazing, and my wife and I will be back in the future.
