I had NY strip with shrimp and my husband had NY strip with noodles. Also we had beef tataki for an appetizer. 1 beer 2 sodas. The steak was so tough neither one of us could eat it. The shrimp was slimy. The beef tataki was supposed to be beef waygu but the meat was tough also and no where in the tenderness or flavor profile. We had let the waitress know and they didn't do anything. They were fine charging the full amount fir 2 uneaten dinners and an appetizer. The pictures here show at the end of our meal showing we could not eat it. Expensive meal and we left hungry. We should have left the minute we walked in and saw no one was in the restaurant during prime time dinner. Management if this is the way you treat your customers, I can see why no one was in there on a Friday night to dine. read more

I have been here a couple times. The staff is nice and the service is usually pretty good and fast. Inside there is a good amount of seating. I got the kids steak hibachi ~$16, and upgraded to fried rice ~$2 extra and it comes with a soup or salad. I prefer the Osumashi Soup which comes with fried onion, mushroom & scallions, most people know it as clear soup. The meat was tender and juicy and the rice was good. My favorite is the soup, it's a good soup to have as a side. I also ordered the gyoza ~$8, they are good, just like your average dumplings. I got their spicy tuna roll ~$8, I was not a big fan. I'm not sure what they use to make it spicy but it was a bit overwhelming and has a sour tint to the taste. Overall the hot food is pretty good, it's flavorful, it is definitely better then the one in Watertown that has a similar name, sushi was subpar. The only downside is that it is SUPER expensive. If I only got the kid's hibachi and the gyoza it's totaling almost $30 just for 1 person which is a bit ridiculous, it's just sad because they are the only type of food being serve in this area so they definitely overpriced. I would definitely come back if I'm craving it some hibachi, but I don't see myself being a regular since it's so expensive here. read more

Not the best sushi I had but it's good the sashimi lunch special the white tuna was actually seared which that's never happened when I order sashimi lunch special. Their prices aren't cheap for not one really expensive and they're still doing Covid restrictions where are you can't sit and eat so it's takeout only. It was OK and the tuna appetizer is OK as well they do try to include a tip when you order which is kind of weird since they're not serving you you're just doing a order ahead. Between the two of us visiting, we had the hibachi steak/shrimp and hibachi vegetables. I didn't care for the hibachi as much. It wasn't quite the taste I've come to expect from other places. The place was very clean and they had the sushi makers out front so it was neat to watch. Very ambient energy. The saki is very expensive and I do not recommend- it was good but not for the price at all. The gyozas were out of this world good! Best we've had anywhere! The California roll was great. The Ruyi roll was very good and had great flavor. The fort drum roll was massive lol but interesting textures. The sunrise roll was great as well but felt like it was missing something to us so not as good as the others. The sesame chicken tasted a little burnt but after that initial taste was very good. Huge chunks though so made it hard to eat. Very good sushi and dinner but very pricey. Cost over 100$ for the two of us. So won't come back as often as we would like to. read more

We got some takeout from here and overall the food was good, not great but good. We did get lunch sized orders but I'd say the portions for the price were a little small compared to what I've gotten for lunch at other Japanese restaurants. We got the hibachi lunch combo with shrimp and chicken and a osumashi soup. This was decent. Typical hibachi flavors, the shrimp and chicken were cooked well and the veggie and rice were solid. The soup was good as well. We also got an order of the sashimi Lunch. The fish was good but not super fresh which is what I think pushed sashimi over the top. This was by far, hands down, one of my worst restaurant experiences to date. When we 1st sat down there were 4 other tables with people at them, and we figured we'd have enough time for lunch, as we were only ordering two sushi rolls & a chicken dish between the two of us-we couldn't have been more wrong. 6+ tables came in after we had already been seated for at least 10min. Still no food. Another 10-15min later our chicken dish finally came out. But no sushi rolls still. By this point 3 of the tables that had come in after us already had their food (to include sushi rolls & other dishes). We continued to wait for one of the two waitresses to come to our table & they kept avoiding us. Couldn't even get them to come in our direction; let alone look at us. At this point it had already been 45+min since we sat down & it was time for me to head back to work. I had to get up, walk up to the front of the cooking area & stand there for someone to FINALLY acknowledge me. I let the women know we would not be needing the two rolls as we had already waited a RIDICULOUS amount of time & I was about to be late to work. She said nothing. Just took my card & ran it. For just the chicken dish, which she charged us extra for fried rice (yet never mentioned while ordering that it would cost extra), and the tax-it came out to: $16.14!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. For the one dish we did receive it was hardly any food. The service was AWFUL, and the only good thing about this place was that it looked nice inside. I wouldn't suggest anyone come here. read more

They also had The Spider Roll as well but didn't want too much. The Tiger Roll was magical! You have the flavor of the shrimp, the rich texture of avocado meshed with the awesomeness of sushi rice and crab. THEN to top it off all off, there was this delicious sauce drizzled on top. This place is okay if you want to grab a quick bite and it is conveniently located near the main gate outside of Fort Drum. The price is a bit high, but that is what you pay for in rural areas like Evans Mill/Watertown/Carthage, and I would recommend getting Hibachi for its price, because although the rolls taste okay, it is way too small for what you pay for. I would go there from time to time if you are desperate for Japanese food, but I can do cheaper. read more
