The best thing about Panda one is their lunch specials. You get a large portion of your choice, white rice or fried, and a soup or other choice of side all for about 7$ including your drink. Its a lot more food then you would get at Panda express for more than Panda One's price. The service however is a bit slow. I've went in alone a couple times and the only one there and still got slow service. Also they should have the thermostat at about 75, not 60. Its COLD! The food depending on what you order, and the taste you seek is delicious. I order House lo mein usually, and they are very generous with the portions. I order Egg drop soup too, and out of all the egg drop soup I've tasted, this has to be the best to me. It has so much more flavor than others. 5/5 when you dine in. 3/5 when you get delivery. You get more food for the same bucks when you dine in. You also get freshly made food. I've been completely satisfied when we dine in, I can never finish my plate and end up taking an almost full to-go box. Delivery tastes like it's been sitting under a warmer all day and you get whatever they can fit into the to-go containers! Do not expect to be treated like royalty when you dine-in, it's not their thing and you have to just accept that and enjoy the food lol. read more

Ordered the Large Shrimp Fried Rice for approximately $8 and some change. Pros: The fried rice was very good. Plenty of large shrimp which I enjoyed. The food was prepared fast. Cons: I waited about 5 minutes while the front counter took phone orders. That was to long to wait in my opinion. Also, I ordered a large portion but it wasn't really that large. I am use to a nice size Styrofoam container, but their servings come in the standard fold box house type container. The restaurant looks unkempt both inside & outside. I would try this place again, just not sure I'd pay $8 for a small box of the fried rice. read more

Shockingly terrible! Hands down, by far the most disgusting food I have ever had. Decided to try their black-pepper steak with rice for lunch and was horrified. The first bite was the last.. The flavorless mushy, boiled steak (I hope) was awful to say the least and smelled rotten. My coworker ordered the chicken lomein which was still partially uncooked in the center. The atmosphere of this place is awesome! I definitely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner!! The woman behind the counter is very nice and talkative she makes it feel as though you are seeing a friend to eat! Today I got the lunch special which was a decent amount of food for around 7 bucks! The shrimp and vegetables where delicious!! I didn't expect so much flavor from a lunch special, and they gave me these wonton chips that where super yummy! I like this place a lot! A friend recommended this place set it was very good. My S.O and i went and ordered the General tso chicken and the chicken fried rice. We get and start eating and we look down and there is a dead fly and a dead roach in our food. We left and will never go back. I'm writing from an Asian point of view. I didn't like their food. We had the roast pork lo mein. The pork didn't taste that great. The noodles were over-cooked so bordering on mushy texture. Flavor was so-so. We also had the Kung Pao chicken. Flavor was marginal. This place uses celery as a filler vegetable in its dishes. I really do not like that at all. Celery is not an Asian vegetable. It's just a cheap filler for the restaurant. This was run my Hispanics. I have nothing against them except when they try to be Chinese cooks. My friend swore by their Rangoons and said we had to go for the lunch special. They had a very limited selection and most of it was old and gelatinous looking. The girl did offer to bring out fresh things. I was sorta horrified that they still had a few more hours left for their lunch special and that was how things were. The portions were big and the crab Rangoon were stuffed with cream cheese and crab. There were a few people dining in, but it was so hot in there I wanted to go. That also horrified me since it was March and not yet 90 out. Initially it was pretty good, but I did find some grisly pieces in my orange chicken. I ordered pork fried rice beef chop Suey and Wong tong soup which was disgusting overcooked turned into mush when biting into it disgusting very gooey Gross they told me they make pork fried rice but they don't they take barbecue pork chop it up and mix it in with fried rice that looks disgusting very dark brown looks old . Yummy Yummy Yummy!!! I love their food. I tried it years ago with a friend and it wasn't my favorite, but they must have changed things....I have now moved near it and decided to try it again so I tried the Veggie Lo Mein, very good. A lot of times you can get something that smells good but the noodles only taste oily (can we say Panda Express!!) but here at Panda One, the noodles have great favor, and not just a great smell. Their ragoons are good if you like them to be sweeter, they are not really crab, I have yet to see or taste crab, but they are still good. I also have gotten the veggie rolls and they have good flavor, a little small for my liking, but good!!! I would recommend! read more

Looks can be deceiving. I wasn't expecting anything very good when my parents offered to take the family out to dinner here. (they had a coupon and it was close). The restaurant is housed in a former KFC building that's housed several Chinese take out joints over the last decade. Hopefully this one will stick around though. Huge portions of really tasty food. Most of their business seems to be take out as we were the only people eating in the restaurant on this evening and the waitress kept having to excuse herself to answer the phone for take out orders, but the service was still good and she was more than willing to provide us anything we needed. They also provided fried won ton strips with sweet and sour sauce to snack on when we first sat down (even providing refills) my parents ordered a large sweet and sour pork (about $8) and a large Chicken fried rice (about $7) to share after they ate their fill we all helped ourselves to some and it still didn't even make a dent and ended up taking a full styrofoam takeout container of each home. My brothers and I opted for the dinner combo. Which came with either white or fried rice, a choice of 2 different appetizers, and the main entree. My house lo mein combo was $8.75 and I chose fried rice, and for the apps 2 fried shrimp and a BBQ spare rib. Again most of the portions of the rice and entree went home in a to go box. While the food wasn't awe inspiring, it was good quality, cooked fresh, healthy portions and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back! read more

This restaurant would have gotten 5 stars but the service is soooo slow it is not deserving of 5 stars. Whether you are dining in or getting take out, expect to wait 30 mins plus for food. Forget about delivery...50 mins plus (and we live less than 2 miles from the restaurant). Don't get me wrong --the food is great! It's not authentic chinese but then again they don't claim to be authentic chinese. It's New England style chinese and they get it! Yes, our orders are taken by Mexicans but you best believe they have some asians back there tossing our food. You know how I know...I saw into the kitchen once --ASIAN. I saw a cook taking a smoke break out back --ASIAN (not sure if chinese)! Being from the New England area I can attest to it's authenticity. The Beef and Broccoli --ON POINT! The Seasame Chicken --ON POINT! Only thing I am not crazy about are their Crab Rangoon. It's a bit too sweet for my tastes and a little short on the crab, if you ask me. I've had problems with this place getting my orders wrong. Finally, after being lied to by a delivery driver I decided to call the owner. She told me that she'd give me a $20 credit to my account. So months go by and I decided to give them one more shot. Big mistake. They wouldn't honor the owner's agreement with me and the place was FILTHY inside! I have been having Panda One delivered for over a year now. I always order the Shrimp and Broccoli and it has been perfectly consistent in being a visually attractive and very perfectly seasoned dish. The crab puffs, when they are good, are the best crab puff you could imagine. The filling is so artfully flavored it would put any other crab puff to shame...and not just a rubbery twist at the end of a crisp, this appetizer holds about a rounded teaspoon of delightful filling. It seems that the cooks have been unable to maintain consistency because the restaurant owners do not care enough to always have the proper ingredients on hand, forcing the cooks to very poorly improvise and substitute. This responsibility lies entirely with the owners' lack of regard for their customers. Caveat: I have also been told that the kitchen is very dirty, but have never verified this for myself. Again, the owners seem to be very inept at performing their own job functions properly or even in a respectful manner. This restaurant can be excellent and seems to only be held back by it's dismal ownership. If they don't care about the restaurant, I wish that they would sell it to someone who does care. Still, the food may be worth wearing sanitary blinders because it can be quite excellent! read more

Main dish was good but Hot Sour soup needs a little help. Too Watery.

The hot and sour soup is awful, it is neither hot, nor sour. It is very awfully BLAND. But that is not why I am rating them the one star. (though it helps.) We used to order from here on occasion because of the sheer convenience, however tonight was an experience that will have us crossing them off our list forever. We received no sweet and sour sauce for our sweet and sour chicken, no dipping sauce for our fried dumplings, and no fried shrimp or egg roll that was ordered with our other dinner special. And while they finally agreed to deliver the aforementioned missed items, I will be forever irked that the person at Panda One spent almost 10 minutes on the phone arguing with my husband telling him that he put those items in our bag himself and that there was no way they were missing and that we must be mistaken. We went through the entire bag. We double checked everything and crossed referenced with our receipt (which was correct) The items were missing and they treated us like we were stupid. I will stick to Mandarin Grill from here on out. read more

Panda One is not good. I ordered delivery, Chicken Chow Mien. They bring it and i sign the receipt. They leave and i open my food box and my "Chow Mien" is just a couple pieces of chicken and a ton of bean sprouts and bokchoy or celery or something. NO NOODLES in my Chow Mien. So i call them and they insist that at "real chinese restaurants" Chow Mien has no noodles. ummm..????? Every Asian restaurant that I have been to has pan fried noodles in their chow mien. So for lunch i had about 10 small pieces of chicken and a couple bites of rice. Besides the no noodle thing.. Their food was very bland. The chicken is like boiled chicken that is made ahead of time and thrown into their dishes. I could buy Kroger brand Asian sauce and make a better dish myself at home. Do not go to Panda One! Not sure how they got 4 stars on Yelp but if i could i would give them No stars! read more

Dangerous to your health! I occasionally eat lunch there because it is close to work and inexpensive. In the past I've noticed I often get an upset stomach after dining there, so have cut back on my visits. I needed a quick lunch on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Ordered pork chow mein with steamed rice. There seemed to be something wrong with the pork, rather soggy and didn't taste right. By the way, I order off the menu because I don't trust buffets. At around 1a.m. the following morning I woke up really sick! Without going into detail, it was horrible, up and down all night. That whole next day I remained really sick. It finally passed after 24 hours. I think it was food poisoning. I traced back all my meals that day (Thursday) and determined this was the only meal that could have made me sick. I feel sad about feeling it necessary to write such an awful review, especially since the gal that runs the place is so personable and nice, but I feel responsible for getting the work out so others don't get sick.
