Ordered a PuPu for 2, and an extra order of beef sticks. I order from this business a lot , and I am really unhappy with my last 2 orders. Most recent, the whole order was way over cooked!! I called to find a resolution, and for my $30. + I was told they would take $8. Off the order. Also , the pork fried rice was nothing but rice. No pork, no onions... Just rice! We're regular customers. Recently, we ordered on-line and our food was cold and the chicken was undercooked. When I called to ask for a refund, the manager (the lady in charge) was extremely rude and REFUSED to give a credit. She told me to put the food in the microwave. Then she hung up on me! I called the Beyond Menu number (this is the app I use to place on-line orders) to inform the personnel about my experience with the food and the manager/lady at Panda Garden. The gentleman I spoke with at Beyond Menu was extremely concerned and nice. He was able to reach out to the manager/lady at this chinese joint, Panda Garden, and ask for a credit. Unfortunately, he was unable to get a full credit because the manager/lady REFUSED to issue a credit to his request, as well. But, he was successful in that he got me a 15% percent discount refund from the total of the food itself as a refund. I commend Beyond Menu for helping me out. I was a very dissatisfied customer with the manager/lady's handling of my issue as well as the awful meal that we experienced. We will NOT be ordering from Panda Garden again! read more

Customer service excellent. Crab Rangoon excellent. Crab sticks good but it is not REAL crab meat. Spring rolls good. Chicken fried rice excellent. Sweet & sour chicken good but overcooked (or) reheated.) Boneless ribs tasty but dry & chewy. (I ordered well done to eliminate chunks of fat but way too well done.) Shrimp w/ snow peas excellent but small portion for the price. Asked for contact free delivery with a call from driver on arrival.. Driver did not call...I happened to see him getting into his car. A bit pricey but reasonable over all. I loathe plastic silverware so I will be sure to request it be eliminated on my next order. We placed and paid for an order at 5:00 PM for delivery. We were told it would be an hour. We called back at 6:30 and were told it would be an additional 40 minutes or we could come pick it up ourselves...our order arrived at 8:00 PM. Panda Garden is no longer an option for my family. read more

I had ordered online for convenience and when I went in to pick up the order, the young lady was on the phone taking another order. I waited patiently, respectfully, I know food service is hard work and can be really busy. However, when she hung up the phone, she didn't even acknowledge me and left the counter for another 5-10 minutes...ok. I had ordered a random selection of food as I had never tried this place before and didn't know what I'd like. The bourbon chicken was under sauced, dry and had rinds in it, which was an immediate turn off. The chicken teriyaki was just ok. The fried rice tasted like the grease was old and the two tiny pork cubes in it were just little fatty pieces. The fried wontons had a smokey almost burnt taste to them and the chicken fingers were just really bland. I ended up throwing away almost all of it. What a waste of almost $40. There weren't many places open on Labor Day but most Asian restaurants are convenient stops when you want a bite on a Holiday. This is a very small Chinese American takeout spot in Pittsfield, MA with very limited seating. I ordered wonton soup, Hunan Chicken with fried rice off the daily specials menu for $5.75. The soup broth was a disappointment but the thin skin wontons were very good, light and delicate with good flavor. Fried rice is always a gamble in most places, rarely ever living up to what you get in a major metropolitan Chinatown and so it was with this not bad, certainly not great, I know, hell what can you expect for $5.75. The Hunan Chicken on the other hand was very good with a very nice spicy heat level and bok choy which I wouldn't have expected at that price point and a nice assortment of other vegetables. Overall I was satisfied and you certainly cannot beat the Panda Garden's luncheon menu prices. read more

The consistancy of food was not there. Some of things were good, but many things were. I'm not talking about us just not liking it. The pork ribs were over cooked and tough, chicken fingers were very greasy and no crunch. The shrimp tast was very soggy. Once we got past the oh-so-greasy-and-sorta-stale crunchy noodles they have us to start, things got a little better. Husband would not touch the noodles. We ordered spareribs - good, but also very greasy, crab Rangoon, which I love. Theirs was a pretty tasty version. Various soups were good, but wonton soup had a slight burnt taste. Kung pao chicken was good, zucchini nicely cooked and chicken, while not the best cuts from the chick, was nicely spiced. Happy family was generous and kids likes it. Mu shu pork was my favorite. I order from this restaurant about once a week and for the most part they have Adequate food but sometimes the seafood that they serve taste like it's been out on the counter all day and has a slight spoiled taste. When I have it delivered there's no way to get my money back so I feel like I wasted my time and money. The management needs to be more diligent about making sure the food is fresher . read more

Service was awesome. love the online order option. Food was delivered fast and was piping hot too. Everything was cooked to perfection. the fried shrimp and egg rolls were crispy and not greasy. Vegetables in every dish were fresh and cooked crispy tender, perfection. there was just enough sauce in the general's chicken so that it had flavor without swimming in a lake of sauce like some others make it. I ordered from here twice. Both times we ordered different items. But last time 2 days ago I really wanted Chinese food so I ordered from here again even though it wasn't the greatest the first time. I ordered the chicken fingers, dumplings, and rice. The dumplings had the thickest noodle outside I have ever had and I peeled it off it was so greasy that I could smoosh it together and it stayed a ball. The chicken fingers were sour because the chicken was rancid. I will never order from here again. I only write reviews is something is really bad or good. Probably one of my favorite Chinese takeout places in Pittsfield... if you order a certain dollar amount you can get a free soda or order of crab rangoons which is awesome. I always get 2 orders of crab rangoons because they're the best and I love 'em! The only downside to this place is that their delivery takes quite a while even though I don't live that far away. We've ordered twice from Panda Garden. The first time it took about 20 minutes for delivery, the second time it took almost an hour and a half. It was a cold Friday night, though, and they apologized many, many times. So it was cool but, plan ahead when ordering. The food is really good. It's pretty much exactly what you expect and the portions are pretty perfect, on the large size usually. It's NOT bottom of the bucket greasy Chinese take out, it's good food, real food. We've tried the beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, scallion pancakes, beef stick, egg rolls, fried dumplings, general tso chicken, and pork fried rice (and of white rice, of course). It comes with all the usual soy sauce, duck sauce, and fortune cookies. The scallion pancakes and dumplings are pretty doughy and I probably won't order them again because that's just now how I personally like them but they tasted great. The online ordering is very easy and they have good coupons. They were very nice on the phone when I called to check on my order, and the drivers are nice. The food here is very bad. The hot & sour soup was very salty and lacked some key ingredients such as pork and lotus roots. It wasn't sour at all. I selected two meals from the luncheon menu: cashew chicken and beef with green peppers. I ordered lo mein with the beef dish and pork fried rice with the chicken. I received a can of Diet Coke as well. I expected the rice and lo mein to be arranged on one side of the dish; instead, the entree was poured on top . The rice had no pork/bean sprouts in it that I could see/taste. The lo mein was also just plain noodles saturated with the heavy, pungent sauce of the cashew chicken dish. Both lunch items contained very little meat. It was also hard to find any cashews in the chicken dish. I will not be doing business with this restaurant again. read more

We've ordered from this restaurant several times during the past few weeks and they've gotten the delivery order wrong three times. Once we ordered and paid for pork fried rice and they sent white rice. The other two times, we stated what we wanted to substitute and both times, the sent twice of what we didn't want. All of our orders have been placed on-line with clear notes and instructions. After the last time, I called to speak with the manager. No manager on duty at 8:15 p.m. and the person's English was so poor that we couldn't make any progress. I demanded a refund for the order and they only wanted to credit $3. They already owed me $2 for the fried rice that they stiffed me on a couple of weeks ago. This is the last time that I'll order from this place. Food was mediocre at best and the delivery usually took over an hour and arrived dried and tasteless. Beware of this place!!!! read more
