Today Jess had the worst experience at panda. We've never had a bad experience going when they open in the morning. Especially when it comes to getting the amount of sauces we requested "in person" or in the app. Not to mention the food actually being "fresh", not old and stale. We went around 11:30am today and the food was hot, which is never an issue, but the issue was we requested a "hf" or handful of sauces and we were only given 3 of the sweet and sour. one of which wasn't the sauce Jess even asked for. I went inside to ask for more sweet and sour and was given around 3 more, when again, I asked for a handful lol. I believe it was the manager I asked because she was in all black. So her question is, has there been a policy put in place with how many sauces you can be given? Cause it has never seemed to be a problem and we were even told to put "hf" for handful on the special instructions in the app to request more in advance instead of in person. But I'll still ask in person to be safe. By the time we got home with the food, the white rice was stale and the chicken both tasted like they've both been out since they opened. Warm but definitely not fresh. Jess wants to speak with someone at corporate to get an explanation as to if procedures have changed with any of this? Ok, so after reading all of the one-star reviews of this place, I felt compelled to leave a positive review to help offset the negative total. I've come to this location for years for the quick, cheap, Chinese-American (or is it American-Chinese) food, and for the most part it's been totally fine. Service is quick, food is hot, taste is what you'd expect. Have they forgotten items or screwed up my order? Yeah, maybe once or twice, but like any fast food place I check my order before leaving. because it's FAST FOOD people!! Mistakes occasionally get made, but 9 times out of 10 if you're not a complete a-hole when pointing out the mistake, they will fix it and give you the proper order. If they don't, escalate it to the manager, and if that fails escalate it to corporate. I guarantee you will be made whole at some point. To the people complaining about having to park and wait after ordering at the drive-thru, well, they cook the food in batches, so yes they do run out sometimes, especially when busy. Personally, I enjoy the fact that it's not all (completely) pre-made food and am happy when asked to wait because I know I'll be getting freshly cooked food. As to customer service, again, all I have to say is it's FAST FOOD! If you want good customer service these days, you have to pay for it at a full-service restaurant. I stopped by Panda Express in Visalia to get a quick lunch to go. As you may know, this is sugary carb goodness packed into a styrofoam container. This location was covid compliant with no self serve anything available and masks required upon entry. I went with a 2 entree plate, double orange chicken and a side of half fried rice and half soft fried chow mein. I asked for pink lemonade but they only had regular lemonade. The price was 11 dollars and some change out the door, but there is an option to donate the change to a children's hospital so I opted for a flat 12 dollars out the door with donation, which I think is a nice option to help the children. The chicken was freshly made and a nice blend of sweet and tart, with a little bit of spice. It was soft yet crunchy, a little crispy on the edges and perfect. The chow mein was soft and had just the right mixture of vegetables to have a slight crunch. The rice is good with small green onions, egg, peas, and carrots in it. A little bit of soy and it was excellent. I don't eat at Panda Express often but when I am having some carb cravings, this is a good place to satisfy that need. This was my first time at the Visalia location but they were nice, friendly and helpful and the hot, fresh food made it a good experience. I recommend it. read more

I decided to order from Door Dash as I usually do, never will do that ever again. I ordered a plate- honey sesame chicken. There was a large piece that looked like chicken, which took up a large portion of chicken I got on my plate. Upon biting it I realized it was like uncooked batter sort of like a mixture of cornstarch and flour. Good thing there's three different Pandas in town. First, the drive thru experience was awfully frustrating as they were constantly rushing me when they had ONE customer inside. I know this because I was asked to park and wait 5-8 minutes for the broccoli beef. They finally brought it out and when I got home you wouldn't believe it but they completely forgot to ADD THE FRESHLY MADE FOOD. Not only that but they didn't include the sauces, fortune cookies, straw and they filled my cup just over half. Why the rush? Why the terrible service? I get to the restaurant to show them the missing food and they STILL had NO BROCCOLI. Another 10 min wait so I just subbed it with something different. Had a horrible experience today. Ordered in drive-thru. After paying at the window I was asked to pull to the front. When placing my order I was not told of a significant delay.
