I called the restaurant and was put on hold only to eventually be told no one was available -- please use their website. Twice. I called their extension for a new order. Okay, this place is not that bad! Many of the bad reviews are due to long wait times. Well, by now everyone should know that this place is busy, so why go when you're in a hurry?? Unless you're from out of town, you know there is going to be a long line. The employees are all working together and doing what they can for the guests. That's what I have seen every time I've been in there. I understand that the food is not always up to par, but you can't expect perfection 100% of the time. Been going to Panda for some time at various locations, including Turlock, Santa Nella and Gilroy. The food is most often good the portions are good and the prices are fair, the locations are clean and the staffs are good. However I was never able to connect that when I ordered and ate certain dishes I would have some gastro issues after. So I did a little research and discovered the reason. Or at least in my opinion the reason or source of my discomfort. As it turns out Panda uses MSG or monosodium glutamate (The symptoms myself and others including friends have had are consistent with MSG and it's use) and in my investigation in large amounts in some dishes, Orange Chicken for one. So I did a little experiment and did not eat the Orange Chicken and low and behold no gastro issues, yea! I do enjoy the food and believe it is a good value. However it would be great if Panda would consider a no MSG option for some of us that are sensitive to this product and it's use. I give three stars for the following reasons 1. The food is good 2. The prices are fair 3. It's not Pandas fault some of us are sensitive to MSG many are not. I do hope in the future Panda will offer this option so myself and others can enjoy the entire menu. read more

Arrived at panda at exactly 9:45 today. (Saturday, Feb. 6) Store hours said they closed at 10 & their yelp says they close at 10:30. Figured I had plenty of time to order food. As I'm walking to the store from my parked spot, I saw that they refused service to more than one different customer. They were already wiping all the counters down & were huddled talking. I don't mean to be THAT customer but if corporate says that you close at 10 pm., then that's when you close the store and stop helping customers. what can i say the customer service on this specific store is HORRIBLE ! i door dashed a plate from panda for lunch and this store never took my order in , keep in mind the money was deducted right away from my debit but once my dasher went to try to pick my food there was nothing to pick up . My dasher calls me and tells me to verify my order with an employee to make sure my order went through because apparently there was nothing under my name so Im over here waisting lunch time being on the phone trying to talk to an employee to find out where my food went . I call Panda Express (this specific store) about 10 times no one picks up the phone and a little after finally an employee picks up , i immediately tell her my situation with my food , by the way she was super rude all she said was " uh huh ok ill look for your food" and hanged up on me. I tried returning the call 20 times and no one picked up . So i pretty much had no lunch that day , Luckily door dash has amazing customer service i canceled my order and they refunded me right away . This place is a joke ! I am so tired of Turlock chains being so horrible. I have eaten at other Panda Expresses and they have been so much better. Cons: Only veggies entrée is the steamed veggies, which are often underdone. The removed the eggplant dish. If you order ahead, your food will not be ready. It does not matter how long you wait, they will start your order when you arrive and most often after the entire line has gone through, so no advantage in ordering ahead. I ordered several dishes that were okay. They don't really have a chef, but some random teenager working their first cooking job. Also, ordered teriyaki chicken and they did not put in the teriyaki. So, grilled chicken. I also do not like that the men cook and the women serve. I just find it odd. Pros: Pretty cheap for a meal that is hot. And they do fundraisers for the community. I believe they call it Panda Express because that's how fast the food travels through your digestive system. I can't hate though - Panda has been a staple of my occasional fast food diet for as long as I remember and is a regular stopover for me when I make trips down the 99. Say what you will about the quality of the ingredients. This is fast food, people, so don't come here expecting free range chicken and organic vegetables. Expect a bare minimum FDA standard resulting in a lot of flavorful and tasty heavily fried meats. The orange chicken is a fan favorite, but I'm more partial to the Kung Pao or the broccoli and beef. Depending on the time of day you may be challenged to find a spot in the parking lot. However, I've never found the wait to be long no matter what time of day. read more

I ordered online and then waited outside for pickup for an HOUR. The worker was rude and ignored and avoided me while giving out orders for 15 people that ordered after me. I asked if they forgot about my order and the girl said,"No, it's right there, we are waiting for white rice." The least they're could do is offer an alternative side if they must make customers wait an hour for white rice. Poor communication, rude, cold food. The manager then came out and was rude as well. Not sure what her excuse was. But he removed his mask alittle bit and she was freaking out about it. We understand that we must wear a face mask but if you can't understand what we're saying or you're not putting effort to listen we remove mask a little so you can understand/hear. We're not going to just let you give us what you want to give us if that's not what we're ordering. If having the mask was an issue there's a way to ask a customer to please put your mask back on. Not "you must put mask on or I'm not helping you." The way/tone that you say or ask a customer to do something makes a big difference. We won't be going back there. You can get better Asian food elsewhere for about the same price, so I usually skip this location.
