A bug that was in my kung pao chicken.
Alexis R.

Found a bug in my kung pao chicken. That was cooked with the food. I find this disgusting.

Worms/bugs in the food

Don't normally leave reviews but for having worms/bugs in your food is absolutely insane and not sanitary at all. Definitely won't be returning, lost my appetite and felt completely sick after finding this. You need to call a foodservice inspector.

Imma the lady that served us had great customer service. Welcoming everyone that walked into the store. She came by our table and asked if we needed anything like sauce and how our food was. Very nice environment to eat in.

I don't even know why I keep choosing this place when they're the rudest people. She was mad we didn't donate. We always do however she was rushing us ordering and kept cutting us off. So when she asked we were so put off that we didn't wanna continue to tolerate her rude attitude. Then wouldn't give us extra teriyaki sauce.... Where do they find these people??? The panda on south 6th is wayyyyyyy better. I'd rather get shot over there than deal with these idiots.

A BUG IN MY FOOD.

Waited 20 minutes for our food only for a bug to be in it. Went back after driving home to receive no sympathy. Do not eat here it's disgusting.

It had great flavor and perfect appetizer to start the meal. The garlic vegetable was slightly overcooked but had great garlic flavor and paired perfectly with our cumin lamb. Cumin lamb was our favorite today as it had nice flavor and tender lamb with onion and cilantro mixed in. The beef ho fun was as expected. We had plenty of leftovers since portions were big. Highly recommend!!

We got an array of standard fare as well as some things that I don't normally see on menus of other Chinese restaurants around town. The dumplings were good, though I was underwhelmed by the lack of spice on the Spicy Pork wonton dumplings. The flavor was very good, but it was not spicy at all. For entrees, we got Curry Chicken and Cumin Lamb. I'd never had Cumin Lamb before, and it rocketed to the top of my favorites list! It was gorgeously flavorful, fragrant, and spicy, warming as I ate. The spiced oil soaked into the rice, spreading the flavor to every last grain. It's really lovely and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is bigger than it appears from the outside, with a bright, cheerful ambience. Despite being busy, it never felt too loud, which was nice. The servers worked as a team and were very attentive. It was a great meal!

Food: (4/5) Hummingbird nest or something like that:(4/5) It's a bit bland, but it has a good variety of shrimp, scallops, snow peas, and other vegetables on a crispy shell. Good low sodium option in my opinion. Walnut shrimp: (3/5) I'm not the biggest fan of sweet and salty foods, but it was pretty savory and crunchy despite the sauce. Pork intestines: (5/5) These were so crispy and oily. The spicy aroma from the peppers also isn't that unpleasant. Overall a very oil heavy dish and just as delicious. I did order another dish, but it wasn't that outstanding and I forgot the name of it. Service: (5/5) Water refills were frequent and there wasn't much else to it. Everything was quick and efficient. Ambiance: (4/5) Very quiet and dim restaurant. Even talking normally felt very loud. Decor in the walls definitely establishes the vibe. Overall a very nice experience. Prices are fair and portions are good.

Left us questioning the 'freshness' and authenticity. A little generous with my star rating, as we both left more than 75% of our plates behind....settled the bill, tipped, and bounced. Will not return but wish them the best. Regarding service, it was ok, but some of the other comments ring true. For example, in the middle of taking our order - the server asked the gentlemen at the table right next to us who just sat down, "What would you like to drink?" while standing talking to me. Perhaps a little training inside and outside the kitchen would raise the tide across the board.

Promptly seated, drinks brought out, order taken and food delivered fast, hot and correct. The background music was some chinese music tv station playing modern easy listening tunes and, along with the comfortable chairs and solid table made for a relaxing environment. The food? meh. You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.

Immediately greeted and offered a booth in the pleasant dining room given menu along with getting my drink order. My drink came out fast and was a neat plastic cup full of ice along with the can - pretty perfect for me. A few seconds later my small order for the hot and sour soup arrived and it was a good sized small bowl but the soup was delicious. I've missed this in Tucson. Shortly, my order of the house special chop suey came out. It was fresh, hot, in a flavorful brown sauce. Full of the chicken, beef and shrimp along with lots of crunchy vegetables. The dinner special was a great deal, the portions for soup and the other items were more than reasonable. Our favorite thing however was the BBQ pork wide ride noodles. We can't wait to come back and try the BBQ pork in something else because it was fantastic. They also already had spicy mustard and sweet & sour sauce in the bad without having to ask. The inside was rather small and warm when we went to pick up. We will be back again, but likely for take out only.
