If you ask for sauces....50% chance it won't be in the bag. They quite frequently do not have many items well BEFORE closing time. Also, the entrees are not up to par with the franchise. I've been going to this restaurant for over 3 years and it's progressively been getting worse. I put up with it until today, 12/20/22, when it was so awful that I will not be returning to the location. I will be making the drive to the east side location. The things that made today especially worse were the food, drinks, and service. The food was cold, tasteless, and lower quantity than before. The drinks were more fizz than flavor and we did not receive any straws for the order. Finally, the service was more rude than before and it was quite unexpected and uncalled for. VERY VERY small portions by the manager. I have been eating at Panda Express across the country for years. I Always get the same thing and 99% of the time I get about the same amount. Today he started by flicking about 2 tablespoons of rice which I had to ask more. Every item was about 1/3 what normally is given. I understand food cost and portion control but this was intentional. There were flies everywhere, drink station was a disaster, trash overflowing and tables not wiped off. My brother and I ordered Panda Express for delivery. The food came very fast. My brother ordered beef and broccoli. I'm not a picky person but the plate had about 2 pieces of beef, maybe the size of a nickel each. I called the store and they told me to drive to the store to replace. I had ordered delivery in the first place and was not happy about having to drive all the way to the store, especially during COVID-19. I had to pay for the delivery and was never compensated. Second, when I got to the store, the person working looked annoyed and grabbed my plate with no beef. They refilled and handed back. No apology or anything. I told them it was extremely inconvenient to drive all the way to the store and they just shrugged their shoulders. Staff are unfriendly and incoherent. Been here several times and rarely find reason to review fast food restaurants but Panda Express needs to step up their game. Asking for chopsticks in the drive through and being assured they are included then not receiving them is annoying. The taste of food is either a hit or miss at this Panda location. I'm sure they do get quite busy throughout their peak lunch/ supper hours with being super close to the mall and on 41st (busiest street in SF).... it's just not very clean inside a lot of the time so I feel gross even just eating my food. The food is great but the staff is either happy or annoyed. The first day we went there was late so we ended up being the last ones there. The workers were annoyed that we were "taking too long" and it was 20 minutes before they close. I went to refill my soda and they already turned it off. And when I was taking my 9 month old to the bathroom a worker rolled their eyes at me. But why I'm giving such a low rating is that they have no changing table to babies whatsoever in the bathroom. My wife stopped and picked up dinner for the family tonight from this Panda Express. When I opened the carryout box, the smell of hot garbage hit me like a drunk Father. We reluctantly started eating, we all had about 3 bites and had to spit it out. It was the equivalent of eating garbage that was thrown out of a RESPECTABLE chinese restaurant. The eggrolls and spring rolls tasted like fish and the rice and noodle dishes were tangy and tart like food that was about to turn. Obviously very upset, we called the restaurant and said we would like a refund and brought back 90% of the food back. The manger, at least he acted like it, said that the meat was nearly gone and he could not give a full refund. Claudio was his name. First off, there was no meat and second WHAT!!!??? What kind of manager does this? He ended up charging us $9.51 out of the $25.85. Rotten food, horrible customer service, and I can't wait to get food poisoning from the rotten food. Stay away of you love yourself and your family. Shame on you Panda Express and especially Claudio M. Get some standards. You are 2 stars for a reason. Their soda machine was down which was understandable, so i asked for a bottle of sprite and all they said was "we don't have that." We usually enjoy panda the few times we have it, but today the staff was very rude and not willing to hear us out. We didn't get an entree and some sauces. We called to ask for a refund and they said, "well that depends.." we explained that we didn't have this entree and he said "one second", when he came back onto the phone he said the staff said they for sure put the chicken in there but not the sauces. We then told him again we didn't get the chicken so we had to replace the order to receive the refund. While replacing the order the man hung up and we called back stating we had replaced the order and just wanted to let them know and all he said was, "well thanks for letting us know". Done! I'm done with this Panda Express on 41st St. The last 3 visits have shown me that management has no idea what they are doing. My previous 2 visits ended up with me waiting 15 minutes or more for Teriyaki Chicken. This last visit I had to wait 15 minutes for Orange Chicken and when they brought it to my car, I asked if there was teriyaki sauce in the bag for my Teriyaki chicken (as I ordered the 2 entrée meal). She said no. I said you are not providing Teriyaki sauce for your Teriyaki chicken? She said they have not made it yet and they are making it now. I could wait another 5 minutes or so for it to be done. I left and am done with this location, maybe with Panda Express in general. read more
