I love our Sonic that's just north of us, on 72nd St. The French toast sticks are always fresh and crispy; tasting like something you remember from the fair, like funnel cake. I love the strawberry cream which is a combination of ice cream and strawberry slushy. There are pieces of real strawberry in their strawberry cream, which makes it even better! The only thing that I have had that wasn't up to par, were the tater tots. It seems they are never very warm, and they tasted of stale oil. This was a perfect place to go during Covid because you can pull up and order right from your car, and stay right in your little stall and enjoy your meal. There are also trees in their parking a lot, so that made it extra nice. The workers are always very nice and you can tell they have fun working there. read more

The service at this place is terrible. We ordered online at 9pm (not even a busy time) got there at 9:15 and said we were in stall 4. We then had to ask for our food at 10 because it was still not ready. It then took until 10:15 for it to come out. It was cold food, and the workers were rude about it all and didn't even say sorry when taking the food out. Would not recommend ever again, this is the worst sonic I have ever been to. Also our shake was only filled 3/4 of the way. read more

Sonic Drive-In - 3/4 of a shake that should be full and cold food - Burgers Near Me - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

I ordered online. Pulled into stall 4, which was between two other stalls meant for mobile orders. I said i was here in stall 4. The people beside me both got their orders. I thought nothing of it. Was simply waiting. A car pulls beside me. Mobile order. Obviously I'm going to get my food before them right? Wrong. They got their food. Well that's weird isn't it? Still, giving them the benefit of the doubt. It's now been over 40 minutes from when the order said it'd be ready. nothing. Everybody can get their mobile order but me. So I pull into stall 2, and press the red button to speak with someone. Takes a while for somebody to respond. Mind you it's 10:20 by this point and I haven't had dinner or lunch so I'm fucking starving and waited nearly an hour for my food. We tell them my name. They say they can't find it. Then ask what's in the order. And then they say oh for *****? Like yes, that's what I said the first time. Then they bring it out like a couple minutes later, It was ready the whole time, nobody brought it out. So my ice cream was half melted, my food is no longer warm. And I am no just going to make my own food at home. Waste of time and money. And last time I went here we waited in the drive thru line for 20 minutes, we were the last car. When it got to our turn to order they pretended we weren't there and were hiding in the back. It was 30 minutes til close. I've given this place two chances and they have failed me twice. Never coming back again. read more

My food was disgusting. My French vanilla coffee didn't even taste like coffee but black syrup. My burger had 2 finger poked holes in it and looked like someone spit in it. And my tots were soggy and mushy. My whole order was gross. Worst sonic experience. read more

Nothing tasted fresh. The fries tasted rancid, like they haven't changed the oil in at least a week. The buns on my wife's cheeseburger was so soggy, it stuck to the box. It got my wife's hand gooey and slimy. My hamburger was average at best. I ordered iced tea, they added so much ice that I only got 2 straws full. Considering how hot it was I was angry and my wife said "this is gross." This was our second time at Sonic and it is our last. How they stay in business we have no clue. If we hadn't driven 12 miles home we would have returned the order. The only reason we gave it one star is that I couldn't post my comment until I did. read more

I got to this sonic at 8:03 pm according to my Life360 I just got home at 8:37 pm and my drive was 4 minutes. What I'm saying is I was in the drive through line the entire time. I then had to drive up to the window to finally have someone talk to me. Once I got home I then noticed my meal didn't come with a side. The absolute worst experience in a drive through I've ever had. read more

Took forever to take our order, then they gave us our food and we were missing items of our order, while we were waiting for our missing food we saw someone licking their fingers while making ice cream, and then to top it off the missing item we were waiting on was made incorrectly. Probably due to when we tried to tell them we only wanted cheese and ketchup on the burger they shut the drive through window in our face. The food is okay but the horrible service and poor cleanliness makes me never want to come back. read more

We arrived 20 minutes before closing time. It took a while for them to respond via the speaker. She said they didn't have any ice cream, and the only thing on the menu they had was a junior cheeseburger and one other thing I don't recall what it was. Her tone of voice had an attitude. read more

They need to do something about the amount of time you have to wait even when you order online.... Isn't the whole point of ordering online to make it faster. Not very happy with this when I clicked the button all he told me that was they're backed up. Sonic has one of the worst services in town. We ordered online and checked in when we got there. We still ended up waiting over thirty minutes for our order. We buzzed the red button again after waiting over 30 minutes for 3 corndogs, 2 chili dogs with extra chili, and 2 large tots. From the info we got from the person we talked to the 2nd time, the order was just sitting up there waiting to be brought out. When they brought it out we ended up with our order and someone else's meal. we gave back the order that wasn't ours and we asked about fresh tots since ours were really cold. the lady just walked away. NO sorry NO anything. This is why I don't eat there much anymore. Shame on you Sonic. Heading home to eat our cold food. read more

Came about 1:30 and the service was extremely polite and the order was out to us within 3 minutes of us ordering. The food was delicious and hot! Definitely recommend read more

From being stared down by angry male employee with mullet smoking outside, set a bad tone. Then the argumentative girl with the cow style nose ring who doesn't listen and just talks over you. Over priced garbage they call food. No thanks. I gave them a chance after many many years and this is the outcome. I'll stick with healthy food. May all the places shut down. read more

Very poor service. The person taking orders sounded angry with the world. Waited 15 to 20 minutes for popcorn chicken that was about as dry as it gets. Tater tots lukewarm. My Diet Coke had absolutely no taste it was so watered down. Only good thing was Allison, the car hop. She was pleasant and friendly. Up your game Sonic I won't be back. read more

Very unprofessional staff who wouldn't bother to correct their mistake (which happen quite often).

Don't let any of the good reviews convince you that this is a decent place to eat. Don't use the app, don't order from here. Literally, boycott. We placed a mobile order 45 minutes ago, and it said the food was ready and "Zak" was bringing it out. We waited for about 10 minutes after the screen reset and pressed the button in the stall screen. After waiting for several minutes a girl answered and said they were still making our food and that it would be right out. 30 minutes later, no food, and no way to get a refund and cancel the order. We pressed the button in the stall again and after waiting 5 minutes someone answered and asked to take our order. We asked when our food would be out and they said "shortly," and disconnected the line. We waited about 10 more minutes and my husband went inside to get the food, but the door was locked and we were unable to get anything. We left after sitting for an hour and will be calling corporate to see how we can get a refund. It looks like the place was vandalized as most of the screens in the stalls aren't working. After experiencing their sorry excuse for "service," it's not surprising. This location would be better off closing than trying to continue running a business at this point. If the workers are on strike, more power to you. At least tell people what's going on so they don't waste their time and money getting absolutely nothing. read more

I got there and ordered online still to see if they had any deals since I haven't been here in a good, place my order and boom I wait, maybe 15-20 minutes pass by and my first part of my order came which was a shake, I asked the worker that I had something else besides the shake and he asked me what it was since they lost the receipt, I told him and boom he went back inside and I waited for hmm 50 minutes, I push the button a second time in those 50 minutes and they tell me I have to get a refund online like ? So I left since you know just waited there for an hour, shake was good though. read more

Their service is horrible!!!! A bunch of out of order screens where you pull in to order. I love Sonic but hate the Sonic on W 34th in Sioux Falls SD. I came here from Texas where our Sonic was great! This one here has been extremely disappointing!! Have not been back for 2 years and according to recent reviews I read they have not improved. They need to FIRE the management and staff and start all over!!!! read more

I've been there a couple times and the service has never been great. Last night, (03/27) a younger blonde guy with long hair and a goatee came out to bring me my food, and whined at me when I told him I was going to pay cash, saying something along the lines of "are you f*ing serious, that takes so long." he proceeded to do this while I was counting my cash. I don't know who the manager is, but this guy should not work there. read more

No cheese curds, stale buns, gross fries, no toy for kids meal. Not a good experience.

It was really good. The only issues we had were they mixed up our order and made it a large that didn't get noticed until the girl brought it out. We just went with it because it was lunch rush. The other thing is that they use diced onions instead of slices so it gets all over. read more
