They fill bowls with maximum rice and then place the most minimum amount of your actual order. Do not order items with multiple ingredients as they will place little to no main item such as chicken\steak\shrimp . Their portion control is weighted on less amount of main item as they think they can get away with. I don't blame the employees they are only following store procedure as management tells them. I been to many Panda Expresses over the years and this has to be the worse one. They give the smallest portions of food from any Panda Express I've been to. Time after time I have to point out to them that they are not giving full scoops of the entree I ordered. I live close to this Panda Express so it's a bummer they can't get it right. Probably the best Panda Express location I've been to in Washington. They're always so friendly and welcoming. They're quick with your order and most of the time give good portions of food. Sometimes you get really poor portions but I think it depends on the person serving. The servings should be packed full especially at this price and being that this food is mostly filler and not so much the substance - which is where the profits are. I've always eaten at this place. I understand COVID is going on and staff is understaffed however the staff was oblivious when people are lined up with people with online order waiting to get their food. On top of that, I observed a server using a serving spoon from one entree to another, thus cross contaminating the food and the end result giving me a allergic reaction that ended me in the hospital. I take no pleasure in writing this negative review, kind of like how I took no pleasure in what I observed today. I write this with full confidence of my accuracy. Hell hath no fury like a hungry pregnant woman (in case you didn't know!) I pulled up and could see right away an employee smoking right next to the front door, and he looked old enough to know better so I presume he just didn't care to abide by the laws. I then stood in line for a short minute and observed this man walk into the restaurant, grab an apron, log in on computer and return to cooking the food. If I wasn't starving and if taco time had't been a zoo (free taco day!), I would have left. I was so frustrated that he wouldn't just at least fake wash his hands- even if he didn't do the whole birthday song! I was so disgusted I advised the woman who helped me, I think I made her flustered as I was ranting to her as she rang me up. She didn't apologize, she expressed sympathy in being pregnant and sensitive to smells but this is not just a pregnancy thing- this is a health code/ WA law thing! The food was ok at best. egg roll wasn't very good. Chicken was all totally over-cooked to disgustingness and overall my experience left me totally unsatisfied- lesson learned, I should have just dealt with Free Taco madness and waited in line at Taco Time (which is right next door and should get your business instead of this place). Panda express is usually good. The problem here is the integrity of the employees. We returned a few times to take in the consideration that they may have had a bad day or two. My complaint is that..they begin closing up during the posted business hours. Causing them to run out of certain dishes..and then discourage you from ordering food they would have to restock/cook. After being told it would take 7 min for rice another 7mins for the noodles and another 7mins for fresh orange chicken..I agreed 21mins was ridiculous for fast food Chinese. I saw others go in after me, so obviously it should have been prepared conduct business until the proper closing time. I love Panda Express but will never go to this location again. They had trouble running my card and very loudly said it declined (multiple times in a restaurant full of people) when I know there was money available. Someone with a manager name tag was the one checking me out. I tried explaining it shouldn't be declining and the guy helping him again very loudly said it would only do that if there was no money. Wrong. BUT instead of arguing I just offered to give them another card number that I just didn't have with me. I had to go through red tape just to use MY CARD. And they were STILL RUDE. I get being in the service industry because I have been myself. But there was no need for this. With only one person behind me, they could take the five minutes to have done this discreetly and just run my other card without all the snarky comments that were made. Food was okay. Service? Panda Express is Panda Express and it's damn good. When I do come here, it's around 11am and it's usually not that busy so service is fast. The place itself is relatively clean and the parking is adequate. I'd probably avoid this place around rush hour as the main road can get congested. I may be a weirdo, but I find it kind of cool seeing the cooks use their woks while my mouth is watering over their Orange Chicken. I came here during their peak busy hours. I have to give mad props to the ladies working here cause I could tell they were really working hard to serve everyone. The food is just how I expect it. We placed our order online. The order didn't go through. The Manager didn't stop to ask how she could help us. It was 6:15 on a Friday night with only 3 people in the restaurant. Only one person was working behind the counter and the manager and another employee were walking around wiping things down. I waited 5 minutes, no one asked if they could help, no one asked anything. I had to ask for a manager. At that point the manager didn't ask how she could help or what she could do. I explained the online order, she didn't ask my name but read off names of other people who weren't getting their orders filled. They couldn't support 3 people at rush hour. Their food is usually pretty good but their service is pretty bad. We've been talked to very rudely multiple times and our orders have been messed up so many times that we hate even going anymore. One time I ordered honey walnut shrimp but I had to wait for it to be cooked which was totally fine. So they say our food is ready, we grab it and leave... The food is good when its fresh. It's rarely fresh. They are often out of brown rice. The cream cheese wontons are often burned. Usually a good amount of food is placed on my plate, but recently there must be new staff, they give small portions (4-5 small pieces of chicken) and when I spoke to two separate employees they ignored me and acted like they didn't hear me or didn't care.
